My workday starts at 7:30 AM somedays (8 AM other days) but it's just a drive across town so it's not so bad (and I live in a small town). Still, I think a 4 AM wakeup time might do me some good (I usually get up between 5 AM and 6 AM). I once tried a 2 AM wakeup time, there was stuff I liked about it, but also stuff I hated. I naturally wake up between 5 AM and 6 AM every morning but in the winter when it's below 0 temperatures or snow everywhere, I sometimes hit the snooze button and sleep until 6:09 AM. In the summer, it's easy to get up between 4:30 AM and 5 AM with the sun pouring in my window (sunrise here is before 5 AM in June). I once tried a super early riser routine of getting up at 2 AM every morning no matter what, I lasted two weeks. I had more "me" time in the morning (or I guess part of it is really "the middle of the night") but I had minimal social life outside of Saturday morning and afternoon with friends, it took two weeks of that and collapsing from exhaustion after work before I went back to 5 AM-6AM wakeup time. Most people I talked to told me at 2 AM was overkill.

It's not normal in the US at all. I was trying to find other comments to see if maybe she lives in a place where the tap water is not safe for drinking, which may be the case in some certain areas. I live in New York and we drink water straight from the tap since our filter system is one of the best.
I have a Sofa Bed but when I get up, I do fold it away. I wash and brush my teeth, get dressed, have my coffee & breakfast (fruit salad), check my email. Read a daily bible passage, exercise with my weights. Get my Lunch, put it in my Knapsack then leave for the day. I get paid every second week but i have access to my payroll deposit sheet and I determine what needs to be paid in my budget.
