Introducing BMW M division’s 50th birthday present to itself - the BMW M4 CSL!
This new all-powerful limited edition M4 looks absolutely incredible, and it just might be our favourite BMW EVER!
But why, we hear you ask? Well for starters, just look at it! It’s absolutely covered in carbon fibre, from the front splitter and bonnet through to the boot lid. It also comes with an updated grille design and red accents throughout the car. You’ll also find a new brake light design around the back, too!
However, it’s not just the design that’s changed. Although it’s packing the same 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six as the regular M4, the power has been boosted to 550hp! What’s more, even though it’s still RWD, the M4 CSL is officially the quickest BMW M production car around the Nurburgring!
But naturally, all the performance doesn’t come cheap, especially when you consider only 1,000 units are set to be produced. In order to get one, you’ll have to hand over an eye-watering £126,000! So is it worth it? You’ll have to stick with Mat to see for yourself!

Edit: Maybe you can organize a Mercedes GT63 AMGs E-Performance and let it compete against the two fastest of the three cars 😁 So we not only have an internal BMW comparison, but also a comparison with the competitor. I would suggest taking a C63 AMGs, but the new one will only appear in a few months 🙄

With turbo engines it's easy.
I like the duck tail boot lid 👏🏻 and taillights! Colour schemes a bit meh and grilles still very marmite but the body tweaks are decent, looks aggressive.

Too bad the front end below the bonnet is absolutely atrocious. Bucky Beaver would love it. The stock duck bill on boot is nice.
The weight savings of 220 lbs will haunt you on the road in comfort and quietness. Let’s be real here, 99.98% of these CS will never see the track and if they do, very occasionally. This car is also $100k plus USD. For a bit more, you can get a Model S Plaid that would destroy it in every way and manner, including comfort.
@Damar Fadlan I just can’t get by that ugly front end. If I opened the garage and saw that front end daily, I’d have to smack myself and say, “ what were you thinking?”
I had e46 M3 CSL and that car was really awesome. Still one of my best cars ever owned.
M4 CSL looks great but e46 M3 CSL was really different from normal M3. Especially the engine with that huge airbox that made
the sound just amazing. Just that sound made me want to buy it. At then none of the cars had that huge air box like a racing car.

you still could buy a replica carbon airbox for 1500euro, schrick cams +seals for 1500euro, mountings 1000euro, tune 1000euro = 5000euro and a regular M3 will sound and goes like an M3 CSL for 1/3 of the CSL's price...

That’s always be one of the problems that stops one from buying the csl model, there’s not enough mechanical differences, you can just be buy aftermarket parts and fit it onto your regular m3 and make your own csl m3, let along the fact that csl doesn’t come with manual.
@@Alex-ko9bm the CSL and E36 M3 GT and other so called "rare and homolog" models are bullsht, cause no more monalisa and the idiots have to put their money into something what is "growing"...that a fake idea cause there wont be and "end user", that thing worth more until there will be no other investor to buy it, or may you can save the yearly inflation....similar as bidding on an auction for something, but that takes a few minutes and this takes approx a lifetime.

In terms of physical size sure, but in what world could an M240i be considered a successor to the M3 let alone M3 CSL. The closest thing to an M240i from that generation would be the 330ci, a small coupe which is one level below the full M car, same difference between an M240i and M2
That front grille looks aggressive. The car overall looks mordern as well as classy.
Considering how much these CSL will be worth in the future. I think 120k is a bargain

It's all competitors have something, LFA, 911 turbo, R8 or AMG GT Black series. BMW doesn't have any special sports car right now. That's surprising 🤔

The performance and aesthetic changes are really well done!
They should of made more effort with the induction noise. And saved the same percentage in weight as the e46 m3 csl.

So CSL in the past at least meant lightweight sports car, then why do we need infotainment system and 10 speaker stereo ? if you keep that in then why would you take out the seats ? just for sake of unusability ? so that car feels like it's sporty cuz we don't have back seats ?

If you buy standard m4 with carbon ceramic brakes throw out rear seats and front seat and put 1 recaro seat and then give it some software it will probably be within seconds of this car at 1/2 price….
if I don’t want back seats, I get a Cayman GT4 with PDK.

Audi is too slow with only RS versions which are on par or weaker than baseline AMG or ///M cars.
Then there's ///M competition models and s AMG. BMW also has CS or CSL and GTS depending on the model

And tbf alot of people will probz choose an m5 comp or e63s over an rs6/7 bcos qt the end of the day its still faster. Audi NEED a plus or performance package with more power to stay in competition
This version will look nice with the new front end seen on the 3 Series, and with a manual gearbox.
Previous CSL didn’t have a manual, so no excuses.

Ok, it's probably the best BMW in terms of performance but the M5CS (in my opinion and considering being sedan) its now the best BMW in available in the market.

RWD is as pure as a BMW gets. AWD adds weight. CSL name has always been about weight savings and track time (similar to the GTX RS cars). Thats we didn't get a manual. Personally I'd love a manual
