Make way for the Queen of the Skies.
Nothing beats a 747...period.A true piece of art
Perhaps the best measure of the greatness of the 747 is relevance across time. Still in production after 50 years. Of course those of us who love her see her as a beautiful airplane. But how many aircraft remain in demand for more than half a century? Not many.
Beauty and grace. Nothing else compares.
The Airbus A 380 is way better . Greetings from 🇨🇮 and 🇱🇷.
@@afrocelticfamily9017 Boeing 747 is much more better than Airbus A380 and also A380 does not have its own garga plane so 747 is much better.
@@afrocelticfamily9017 really? Why stop manufacturing it if it is.
Queen of the Skies
I know that it's no longer the biggest, but boy she's without a doubt still impressive and beautiful!!
Great video, thanks.
Aaron Lopez it’s the longest. And the longest produced 4 engine wide body in history.
Yep I agree with you 100% she is one impressive aircraft!!
But she is currently the longest aircraft in the world.
Still the Queen of The Skies.
@@cellpat7392 Scaled Composites Stratolaunch Model 351 is wider than An225 with comparable cargo weight payload.
After 50 years or so of watching the mighty 747 take off and land, I am still amazed and astonished that that massive airplane can actually fly! The A-380 may be bigger, but it doesn't look nearly as good as the Queen of the Skies!
And in 5 years when the last A-380 has been scrapped 747, at least as a Freighter will fly for another 30 years. A-380 production has ceased and no new orders. No secondary market either. When Pan Am was pushing Boeing for the 74 management at Boeing wasnt convinced that such a large passenger aircraft was going to succeed. To hedge their bets every single 74 0ff the line had strengthed floors and a swing up nose, effectively a Convertible Freighter. Airbus never took that into consideration and A-380 has no capability for conversion. Cheaper to scrap them. It was an ill conceived design introduced at the wrong time.
Edward Cabaniss 747 shall always be the Queen of the skies 380 is just a plane on steroids
@@bilalyousaf I love your description of the A380! LOL
The 747-8I is the fastest cargo plane out there and my favorite cargo plane for that reason!
She is a beauty. No other commercial aircraft has the grace & beauty of a 747, especially a short upper deck 747.
Dc-10 and md11 are also beautiful gorgeous as well, 747 is definitely queen of skies no doubt.
747 My favorite aircraft ✈️
Awesome! What a treat to be able to do a walk through of the aircraft. Thanks to UPS, EAA, and the videographer. I am sure it was a lot of work, but it was a great thing to do.
Königin der Lüfte - Queen of the sky. Thanks for this video!
The UPS livery is beautiful
Yeah, brown-tail is simple, yet striking.
After traveling on the Queen of the sky for years, all others aircrafts will be compared with no equal. Thanks Boeing for getting it right so many years ago!
I love UPS trucks & planes🤎🤎🤎🤎
Albeit empty its still impressive that that big of a plane can land and slow down enough before Boeing plaza at oshkosh
Good to see the 747 still flying strong, even after 50 years. UPS has made a very wise decision buying the 747-8.
What do you think is a better choice? The 777f from FedEx, or the 747-8 with UPS?
eddy eel if you need to carry shit that you can’t fit in the 777 then 748F it is.
@@eddyeel928 777f, can fly further and more direct flights to asia and back to memphis without refueling in anchorage
When you look at the sky, know that somewhere in there, will forever wander the majestuosity of the undeniable Queen of the Skies...
It may no longer be the biggest, but it certainly is still the prettiest. God i love this plane 😍
What a beautiful aircraft!
What a beautiful freighter.
That scheme just looks great on E44s and EMD SD70s., fabulous!!!!
ups sd70s? where was that?
Such a beautiful aircraft.
Most beautiful jet to take flight
Those engines sound soooo good
It's simply amazing. Wow
Incredible!
that 747-8 is huge
Wow. What a beautiful plane
Perfect timing
Beautiful aircraft
What a beauty!!!!
Thats is a beautiful aircraft
never cease to impress me ...!
Very impressive!
Thank you for this awesome video 😊
The reason why I love 747-8
Wow, awesome!
That is a sharp-looking aircraft.
The best pilots n crew fly these big girls! IPA pilots some of the classiest people I have had the pleasure of meeting n picketing with! Thank you all who walk the picket lines in 1997 n stood united with the Teamsters we still remember you brothers n sisters n your sacrifice you gave to honor our picket lines! United we stand divided we fall!
Really still an excellent and beautiful airplane 💪💪👍👍👍
'queen of sky' for a reason...
Such a majestic huggge airplane
Totally miss the double decker 747-8i which is much longer n bigger than 747-400s
I m glad atleast we can see this beauty still on the air in the yrs to come as a freighter
Im sure she'll be the only successful 4 engine airplane aftr 2030s even aftr all A380, 747-400s,a340s, il 76,il 96 r phased out
N she's the most beautiful majestic plane of the lot..
Amazingly quiet
747-8 é muito grande e muito lindo 😍.
Love this channel nice and clear footage well done
The Queen of the Sky.
I love the -8
beautiful bird
Great capture I had the experience of downloading and loading 2 747 unfortunately not the 8F
Damn this Queen is heavy and majestic, simply amazing
Oy, that's nice!
Long live the Queen 👑
747 is the most beautiful aircraft in the ever
Nithin Raj errr no that would be Concorde
@@danielkirkland3366 errr not really.
Yep !!!! There she is !!! The Queen of the skies, 50+ years later, still flying, right at 600 in the air, of the near 1800 made, still in production, this plane just delivered to UPS, part of the last order of 28. and yes still making money and providing service !!!
Is it just me, or does this variant seem even larger than other 747s?
@@thunderbird1921 Nope !!!! The 747-8F is longer in fuselage and has a longer wing span than the previous model !!!! also on the 8I Passenger version the hump is a lot longer, actually a second deck where as the freighter version does not need the second deck except for the cockpit so the nose can be raised !!! Boeing enlarged it rather than build a larger new plane to compete with the A380 !!! Boeing seen the hand writing on the wall on large 4 engine planes. And the -8 variant only uses the GE Genx engines !!! Good eye !!!!
Thunderbird 1 Because it is... not by much, but it
Amazing to see 747 landing at a flyin these will become rare soon
Plane Aviation 747’s will still be flying when the last A380 hits the boneyard. Or haven’t you heard? The A380 is going out of production.
The A380 is just too massive. They consume massive amounts of fuel per hour, a lot of airports had to spend millions and millions of dollars upgrading airport runways, taxiways, jet bridges, and no one wants to buy them anymore! The airlines made a costly mistake buying the A380, they should've gone with the 747-8(or the 787 instead, which many have) in my opinion.More fuel efficient, and doesn't have as many unneeded seats. 747's been around for many decades, looks beautiful and passengers have always loved to fly it. The Cargo market also loves them too, which is why they're still buying them.
As the Qantas CEO stated, it's cheaper to fly two 787s than one A380.
I’ve been in the cockpit of that plane at the factory! Fun fact, most of the cockpit is UPS brown and tan.
Early plastic desktop computer case colors.
That is standard Boeing cockpit color for all of their airplanes regardless of the customer.
I would love to see one of these planes on display at a local Air Show here in Southern California .
I found myself re-watching all of your videos of last yrs convention, since we were informed that 2020 Airventure has been cancelled!
:(
Is UPS the only U.S. based carrier that is actively flying 747's and buying more....? Thank goodness, because these jets are so beautiful to fly on and watch.
Yep they sure are. When Boeing fulfills all of the UPS orders they will have the biggest-8 fleet in the world. Hopefully there’s still a Boeing left to fill those UPS orders after all the dumb shit they’ve done with the 737 MAX If another goes down after being certified to fly again they may be finished. That’s what happens when profits have a higher priority safety.
Atlas also flys the -8
@Sicilian Gecko Glad they do! Read my comment, again....I was asking about American based carriers
Bril Kalitta Air also flys a couple variants of the 747
what a big aircraft at 00:01
Damn, she is beautiful
So nice that they had this plane there and I had a chance to enter the plane, unlike the last time they had the Cathy Pacific 747-8. I was in line to get on the aircraft and then suddenly just as I got close to the stairs a guy in a suit and tie started counting people in line and stopped like 3 people in front and said that everyone behind that person wasn't going to get on. This was only at like 10 AM and the plane didn't even leave until like 7 the night. Still so angry about that, I understand stopping more people from entering the line but to just cut people out who waited for 40 minutes, so sad.
GO BIG BROWN! I wonder if the flight crew wear UPS delivery uniforms?
Yep, and they drive it with the door open, even in winter.
James Burleson nice 👍
LOL. No, they dress like commercial flight crew.
@@jamesburleson1916 hahaha
No. White pilot shirts, brown slacks, gold and brown tie, thin little pinstripes on epaulets and the brown jacket and the optional brown hat has a UPS winged brass emblem with UPS wings on the shirt and jacket, black belt and black plain toe shoes. This is the second style uniform, the first being of a lighter brown with brown belt and shoes, and wearing of the hat was (supposedly) mandatory. I quit wearing one when the management pilots quit wearing them and now they are optional. The uniform United Airlines pilots wear resembles the UPS uniform, but in dark blue.
it's like the Tomcat..Concorde..you just gotta stop what one is doing and stare at her...
I hope they never scrap the 747
I used to wonder how the same model planes could be optimized for both passenger and cargo. I expected cargo planes to have a completely different design.
I think the 747 pilot had to be careful with the throttle to keep from blowing all the small airplanes away.
Wii Worthy Full of its' Self!!
I bet he wasn't given a color dot to land on ;)
Almost a million lbs of weight wonder if it left a dent in the runway.
Make connection yes every day flights of connection são Paulo every 🇧🇷 747.8i /777.400 UPS Big jets 🇧🇷

Still beautiful, but the original look was even better, with Pratt and Whitney's original high-bypass turbo fans.
Noisy, fuel guzzling, overheating, vibration prone beast engines they were. Took forever to fix the flaws.
Why are there so few windows ?????
@Sicilian Gecko oh, I see........thanks
It's a shame that not many airlines bought the passenger version of this great plane. That means 747s will be seen less and less in the future.
I’m sure it’ll take the same route as past 747 passenger models and get the BCF treatment
@@Madcapolo Probably. It was disappointing how the likes of British Airways, JAL and Qantas, big time traditional 747 customers, all passed on the -8. KLM asked Boeing to do a combi version but they refused (too busy with the max software, I guess). I reckon a lot of airliners would've bought that.
That should be called the 747-500F.
K
i flew comercial the il 96-300 twin jet for 5 years bring the an-225 and he will win the show
Will These Planes Flyover American Secondary Schools Colleges and Universities OUSD Job Training Centers DeFremery School Santa Fe School Recreational Centers For a Evacuation Drill? No or Yes, Not Until 2021 due to COVID
I like the A380 freighter better
Him Bike I don’t, it’s ugly
sarcasm?
Him Bike you like stillborn planes? Let me guess, just because it’s bigger? The A380 was a failure that had no chance of reaching 1000 sales, and certainly not even gonna get close considering they are shutting the line down in 2 or 3 years.
There is no such thing as an A380 *freighter*. They never built one.
There is always one to say something dumb. Always.
poor landing
I think they were going for a short stopping distance over making a smooth landing
Was that a no flaps take off?
