I had a sealed copy of Unwritten Tales 2 on Wii U that I got for like $30 and it was when it went through price hikes but I sold it since then cause I never cared for it. I still have Finding Teddy 2 and Shmup Collection sealed on Wii U and I'm keeping it that way. Then that Barbie game I still can't believe how lucky I got when I found it in my local game store that I went to for most of my life and only paid $100 for it and I resold it for $2,500... Cause I never cared for the game so I sold it so I could get some expensive games I really wanted lolz.
Man, it is insane how much money people will pay for something terrible just because it is limited in availability. Great video, looking forward to the rest of the series!
Great idea for a series. Looking forward to the other episodes. And thankfully I am not really interested in getting any of the games on this list, lol.
5:11 About the Limited Edition of Fates selling out in no time flat: It was an early release of Revelation too by several months. So this made it instantly desirable as well.
Cool, didn't know. At that time importing that kind of thing was not even an option, so I didnt even get a chance. Post covid that kind of thing changed for the better for non US/European/Japan countries.
Ha, cool. Thanks for the video! I have the Book of Unwritten Tales 2 for WiiU and never knew it was rare. Also have Devil's Third but I'm sure as hell never going to sell that game, it's actually one of my favorites. Such a stupid but fun game. It has its heart in the right place. ^^
Afterimage is great, got the platinum this morning:) Are you sure the GTA 4 box contains an XB1 disc? MS repackaged some backwards compatible 360 games with a dual header on the box but the disc is a plain 360 disc that works on the XB1 via backcompat
I got really lucky buying FE fates special edition in retail. I remember back that the pre-orders were supposed to be available after the Nintendo direct ended at that time they were gone in less than an hour. As for poop slinger, that was really awkward. They sold the game on April 1st of all days. People thought it was April fool's joke from limited run lol
Some of these prices are absolutely insane, especially when you consider how cheap most used games were 15 years ago. Wish I had bought way more back then. This entire practice of intentionally creating high resale prices and artificial rarity really rubs me the wrong way and it's enough of a reason not to support a company.
Not only do I still kick myself for not buying stuff like the special edition of Fire Emblem Fates and Attack on Titan 2 on Switch, but it continues to have me hate Nintendo more for doing what they did with the game to begin with! Between them having to change and censor aspects of it and them manufacturing the amount of scarcity with the Special Edition, especially nowadays, it really makes me wonder why they haven’t gotten around with porting this Echoes and Awakening over to the Switch with all their DLC included already! A lot of this just makes me wish the eShops on both systems were still open again...😔

Our favourite pastime/hobby was always expensive... but these prices are just gobsmacking! 🤯

Very cool. Gonna enjoy this series.
Thanks Ty! Hope you do!
Great video! Thousands of dollars for a game is so outrages
Got Fates and Alien Chaos at retail prices when they were new, but I won’t pickup more of these unless Nicalis releases their stocks.

Interesting stuff! Thanks for the video
Expensive indeed, sigh.
It's never easy being a gamer.

I'm happy I got a loose copy of FE Fates Special edition in early 2022 at $200+ compared to now. Still dumb it's so expensive.
$2k for a barbie game? Wtf? Great work as usual.
Thanks Randy! Crazy right? There are many of these cases. Wait until you see the PS1.
The Barbie groom glam I have it on the ds it’s stupid why it’s so expensive

I would not count GTA:IV as a Xbox One game, it’s a reboxed 360 game.
I love my ps vita
years ago i saw a copy of devils third in a store for 8 euro's and i still regret not buying it🥲
