Thanks Arthur, great job. One thing to note is that Microsoft has stated that Backwards Compatible games should be safe when the 360 marketplace shuts down, so most of this list should be fine.
Absolutely yeah. The 360 marketplace closing will hurt way less than 3ds and a future psn closing exactly because of what you said. Still, lots of people dont have xbox one and series so these games will become way harder to get. So I hope this video is useful in that sense too. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
Also if anyone still only has a 360, is reading this comment, and wants any backwards compaitable games, you will still be able to purchase the games on the Xbox website. The games show up in your download history on your 360 console for download after purchase, and it's very likely this will remain true after shutdown.
@mrcool5614 I really hope that's still the case. I've downloaded games before that way. Weirdly, some games were only available to buy on the PC online store but not available on the 360.
@@MarkGrouch whaaaat? Well, good to know! Now I gotta look up all exclusive dlc as well, crap.. Btw, the OG Xbox online store isn’t available anymore, right? But the OG Xbox games who are playable on 360 but not on XB1 or Series X are available in the 360 store right?
@@Lock2002fulSome are. the current gen XBOX Store has some that the Marketplace had and some that didn’t. I can’t tell for sure if all OG XBOX games at the current store will also appear on the 360 if you buy one, some do. It’s also hard to tell for sure if an OG XBOX game which is at the 360 Marketplace but not on the Store and yet is backwards compatible with XBO will appear in all consoles.
I’m so grateful of the videos and series you make. I’ve been scouring through the 360 store and I always find games that catch my eye and while the majority of this list has those games you still manage to introduce me to more interesting fun titles I can’t wait to try out. I have a lot on this 360 list to get before the closure and I look forward to more of your coverage until the shutdown. Thank you so much for all your work!
Your channel is just as awesome as a Saturday morning cartoon. Or even better yet, one of the CBS late night SPECIALS. (CBS special) should be your intro. (I wish)
Thank ypu for the effort of research the availability for other systems. I do not have any 360 account, but I have my PS3 still, so I might snag some of these games there instead. Also thank you gor including the famous sega games (from Rare) I have the physical versions, but more ppl should be aware, the games are so great!
Thanks for the video! Will get Cyber Troopers Virtual-On Oratorio Tangram, Strania: The Stella Machina, Zeno Clash, Cobalt, Gatling Gears (since the PS3 version is delisted), Hydro Thunder Hurricane, Thunder Wolves (since the PS3 version is delisted) and Guardian Heroes (also Hard Corps: Uprising, Alien Breed: Impact, Alien Breed 2: Assault, Alien Breed 3: Descent, Zeno Clash II, Gunstar Heroes, Faery: Legends of Avalon, Bionic Commando Rearmed and Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 but on PS3)
Thank you very much for all your hard work. Wonderful video and a nice choice of games. I have a question not 360 related though. Will you do another video on 3DS and Wii U online stuff or was your last video the final entry on that topic? I’m basically only playing 3DS and Wii U games now until April the 8th. 😅
I have been bouncing off of I Am Alive since it was new on PS3 and I played the demo. The bad review scores are what put me off, but I'm sold after hearing you say it was good. Also, your videos are so well structured. I got the Gunstar Heroes and thought "has he mentioned Guardian Heroes?"
You really make excellent vids buddy. Alien Breed I have all 3- wanted physical but not region free like you said. BC Rearmed was my fav, so good tight excellent fun gameplay, BCR 2 is physical tho on nice Capcom 8 game collection. Strainia, Cobalt, Hydro Thunder all classic. I love that 360 had Gunstar, Nights into dreams, Raystorm, bubble bobble, bomberman, guardian heroes, so many improved HD modern ports or new iterations of CLASSIC IPs- lotta people forget that!
There's another factor to keep eye on: also the games on demand(more than 600) will be at risk because when digital purchase will stop the prices of phisical discs could shoot to the stars !!
that Hardcorps game is SICK!!! I had NO IDEA that arcsystem did a contra game, it runs great on xenia I'm lovin' it! EDIT: it has working online on rpcs3!
I only ever played the "Xeno Clash 2" demo, but man I played it a lot. I'm gonna pick both of them up, my short time with that demo as a teen impacted my own art direction in a huge way.
I know it’s hard to make these videos, but the priority should be the digital only, 360 exclusive, not backwards compatible games. This is a great video as usual, but most of these games will survive the apocalypse one way or another.
I totally agree. The first video I made covered most of the 100% exclusive games on the 360. This console has way less of those than PS3 or 3DS for instance, because Microsoft made a real effort with the backwards compatibility since the Xbox One. But I still have a few true exclusives to cover as well as region free games and exclusive DLCs, and Ill focus on all that going forward!
Great selection games, hope that Capcom would port both Bionic Commando Rearmed games to modern platforms already! Also, if you love the music from Contra Uprising you should check out the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue games. Those all share the same composer for the music!!
I'm not for sure when this happened but apparently Gatling Gears isn't available on the PS3 store anymore. Seems to be delisted. So it now seems that the it's only on 360 and PC. At least it's backwards compatible on 360.
Thanks for the coverage Arthur, love that IGN hates unique games so much and if Greg Miller is involved its an instant fail. I personally despise that narcissistic backstabber who is only out for himself and has some of the dumbest opinions and bad tastes in games ever. As soon as I see his face in anything I instantly click off and same for Colin Moriarty.
Never had any Xbox nor do I plan to change that but I'm so glad that many of these games can be found on PS3 or PC. Gotta watch these videos for that alone if not for the fact that you deserve more views anyway right? 😋 Also a good preparation for the time when Sony closes shop on PS3 for real sooner or later.
Alright, this question has to be asked, because I am a little bit confused. Since the Xbox 360 Marketplace will be closed, we quickly have to go and buy the stuff that will be lost forever when it does. For me, for instance, that will be the DLC characters for Street Fighter x Tekken. The fame is unfortunately not compatible with Xbox One and Xbox Series, but that's beside the point. However... what about the Xbox and Xbox 360 content that CAN be played on Xbox One and Xbox Series? Will that also be removed from purchase after the closure in July? Or will we still be able to go and buy it through the other Xbox consoles and perhaps the website? If anyone knows the definitive answer to this question, that would be greatly appreciates. Thanks in advance! 🙏
Microsoft have stated that currently available Backwards Compatible content will remain available for purchase after the 360 marketplace is shutdown. However, Microsoft does occasionally delist Backwards Compatible games and DLC, but usually after giving a month or so advanced warning.
@@mrcool5614 yup, however with that said I believe there are a number of titles that are only purchasable on the 360 marketplace that ARE backwards compatible but not purchasable on the new Xbox store
Any one else having issues purchasing from Xbox live? I keep getting an error as soon as I try to purchase it. Both on my console and even on the website. I added funds via gift card and yet it doesn't allow me. It will allow me to download a game purchased on the Series X. Any suggestions or should I contact Microsoft? I want the MK arcade collection 😫
What do u think about these two aspects: 1)buying now tons and tons of games/extra files will possibly "inflate" to death people 360 download history (really happened to some guys!) not letting them to scroll thru it !?! 2) ..Near the closure date will be a.. BLOODBATH ! servers maybe will overload or be down for good !?
Great work dude, good to see it end on Bionic Commando Re-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARMED. I learned about that game thanks to GDQ back in the day before things started to get both weird and just sensitized in terms of player presence. The screaming glitch is still very funny to me but what gets me is the participants in that particular run and apparently you can in co-op get two scream elevators which is even funnier. A bit late to commenting on this one but glad to have watched it.
