I discovered your channel last night and am loving this Angmar series! As a teenager, I too dreamt of an Orc army where every model was a conversion. Also glad to hear you like the more monstrous design of the LOTR wargs - I know even Peter Jackson wasn't entirely happy with them, but I think they are (like most things in the LOTR films) a masterstroke of design and I love them. Whoever's idea it was to introduce that hyena-like aspect is a genius.
Thanks man that's awesome to hear! And yah, while I do love the grounded look of the lord of the rings world I do like it to have a bit of a step into the more fantastical, so wargs just being big wolves is a bit too boring for me.
Love the unique style of these guys. It has got to be the most unique angmar army out there.
Oh man thanks so much!
Those are some of the sickest conversions ive seen in a while. Great job
Thanks so much!
Watching the hobbit is a good Halloween tradition.
It even has wraiths in it, what's spookier than that?
Absolutely! And the knowledge that it's production was used as a tool to for a giant coorporation to destabilize an entire cuntries film industry... shivers man... shivers:P
I really like the bat feel I got from the wargs! This definitely inspired me to find my old chaos hounds. They will find a new home with my moria goblins.
Thanks, and they do have a kind of bat feel to them eh? Would work perfect for moria
"The orignal metal are great, but they're just too expensive and hard to come by" ... You're right, but the sight of a massive army of metal warg riders is quite pleasing.
Oh 100% seen some amazing full armies of them online. The only issue for "me" is I don't like duplicate models in in army so would need to do a fair bit of converting, and cutting up old metal models always makes me feel real guilty!
This looks awesome!
Another option to bulk out would be the Oathmark Goblin Wolf Riders! I know how much you loved the Infantry version, so maybe you might wanna check out the cavalry? :p
Yah I know it and have been really tempted several times. The fact the torsos are separate would be great for conversions... I just don't know what I'd do with the wolves as I don't love the design on them... too chunky for me, remind me of my cat
@@AndurzTalksHobbies Haha, yeah I also haven’t been a fan of those wolves, but it’s just something to test out once I get the kit for myself!
I remember seeing another channel, Ash and Stone, do a bit of green stuff work for them. I don’t remember exactly what he did but I think he tried to redo the fur?
These look surprisingly good! Great idea and execution.
Lol! Honestly... surprised me too. They got pretty weird!
Wow, those look superb. Love your conversions for this army
Thanks man! It's really becoming a great outlet for all my weird creative ideas :P
You are really pushing the envelope with the conversions, and they look great. Love it.
Oh man, thanks so much! Definitely getting weird :P
Man they look class. Fantastic as always. You look like me after a nyt in the pub in the intro.
Thanks man! And considering how long the week was leading up to filming that... sounds about right :P
those look awesome!
Oh man, thanks!
Honestly, if you haven't already, you should do a tutorial video on green stuff sculpting-amazing stuff!
Oh man... thanks so much! I tend to try and stay away from real tutorials as honestly... I don't really know what I'm doing :P
I'm a bit too lazy to really stick to the proper/technical ways to do things, and tend to let my approach proceed more organically based on how I want to take it artistically, which is what I try to convey in my videos.
But... it might be fun to do a tutorial more on how "I" sculpt with it... as while It definitely isn't the best way, it gets the job done :P I went into some of it in that troll sculpting video but not really GS specific.
Awesome
Thanks man!
these are so cool
Thanks so much!
