YAY! I'm so happy for you! I can't wear a chest-binder right now because of my mom's medical insurance, so I'm always happy to hear about when other people get to wear one! (It's because her medical insurance doesn't allow things like a gender specialist, so she can't ask the medical questions she wants to ask.)
How good it feels to take your bra off at the end of the day...? Nope! Love my bras! For me, chest binding is great if I plan to move... like at all.... nice to know about the time though ^.^
I have told my mom about binding but she says she doesn't get the point of it and it will just cut off my blood circulation even if I just wear for 8 hours. I don't think I'll ever convince her.... ;-;
i mean, the only way to own a binder is if you lied. For a tank binder, you can just say it’s a tank top and half binder is just a normal bra but used for sports. It really depends on how clueless your parents are, my tip is to just never mention what a binder is to them because there’s a 99% chance that they will say no. You can always just buy a visa gift card and buy the binder without asking your mom to buy it for you.
Something I’d recommend doing is easing into your binder and not just wearing it for 8 hours on the first time- when I first got my binder I only did an hour every day for the first week then added another hour weekly. It also helps if you take at least one or two day breaks from your binder especially since you also need to wash it as well. These are just some helpful tips I’ve learned while researching/owning a binder
If you are uncomfortable in a regular bra, maybe you feel more comfortable in a sports bra (try different ones, some are designed to both support and help keep the shape of the boobs), maybe you have tried this already but if you haven't you should. Easier to get ahold of, and you can wear them on the days you don't bind (when/if you get a binder).
dreamcell Sports bra, 2 tank tops, loose shirt and jacket. My chest isn’t actually that big but I hate everything about it and just want to have a completely flat chest.
So for all my fellow trans ppl who wanna bind but cant get a binder (because they cant order it to their home, dont have organizations in their countries etc.) : take a pair of old tights, crop the legs so that theyre as short as a Shirts sleeves, cut a big hole in the crotch part and then put on a sports bra. Fit your head through it and If youre wearing it, put a slighty bigger tshirt or hoodie on so that it looks even more natural and remember to take everything off overnight and after 4-6 hours (theyre not official binders, so be extra careful). After wearing it, make sure to stretch your arms, back and shoulders and if that method turns out to be dangerous (although I've heard from various sources that its a pretty good alternative) I'll immediately take the comment down.
I made a binder out of a pillow case and I laced it tight. I saw a video saying it was safe, but my friend was yelling at me about it. I'm still wearing it
Please don't do that, you can mess up your body seriously. You can cause lung damage or rib damage or you might deform your breast tissue to a point where you won't be able to get top surgery cause the surgeon will refuse to operate on your messed up chest, or if you do get top surgery one day, your results might be worse. I beg you, please don't destroy your body and your future like that. If you really need to bind and really can't buy a binder, there are places where you can get a free binder, or if you can't because of parents or sth, wear compression sports bras or wear two sports bras, one of them backwards. The first method can be surprisingly effective and has very little health risks, while I would still be very careful about the second, but it's one of the few binding methods without a binder that isn't highly unsafe. There are people that have horribly injured themselves with diy binders. Please don't wear those.
So the problem with that is while a binder binds with compression and moves with you as you breath, pillowcases, which are usually made with linen or cotton don't do that. I think you should listen to your friend.
I used to always want a binder until I actually got one. I cried, I cried because It did nothing. I tried a tighter one but I couldn't breathe. So now I'm sad everyday and there's nothing I can do until I turn 18 and get surgery.
How often do you need to get a new binder? what temperature water should you wash your binder with? My binder has gotten really loses really quickly and isn’t giving me the results it used to, is there a way to combat this? How do you get pit stains out? Does fabric softener effect the efficiency of the binder? Does not washing my binder as much as recommended effect the efficiency?
Search you tube for binder giveaways. Alot of channels run by trans and nb people host frequent ones to give back to the community. Also there are alot of websites that give away second hand binders too. A quick google search can help
Does anyone know if dicks sporting goods have binders/ compression bras I looked it up and it seems like they do but I don’t know Does anyone know where to get a free one? I’m a cis girl and my mom won’t let me have a binder Please help?
I took an hold pair of spandex I used to wear, cut the middle part out, and used the rest of it as a binder. It actually works well but it hurts sometimes... but I take it off everyday after school if I can.
I'm a cis and my mom thinks I'm crazy for wanting one. I don't think she will get me out. And when i think about not being able to get one I tear up and it makes me sad, I feel uncomfortable around other people when I have a bra on and even when I'm walking around the house without one on I am female I just don't like the thought of a large chest, and I would pay for it myself but my parents don't let me spend my own money. I'm just really sad that I can't be able to make my body how I like it, I'm NOT trans. IM FEMALE.. I just wish someone could get me one., but probably will never happen.. Watching this video made me cry because I will probably never get one anyway. 💔💔😭
I got myself a binder for the first time and it does make my chest look smaller but so far it hasn't restricted my breathing or anything. Then again I have only been wearing it for an hour. Plz help
Most people with larger chest will still have a bit of a curve in their chest even after binding. So yes I would recommend a GC2B binder as well. They are on the cheaper side and very comfortable in my opinion. They also come in fun colors or nudes depending on what you're into 😺
It's VERY bad. I don't know if you've ever used ace on a sprained ankle or something but it basically gets tighter as you move in order to keep an injury stable. If you bind with ace it will get tighter and tighter around your rib cage and eventually break a rib (which could puncture a lung). Please don't bind with ace, duct tape, anything really that isn't a real binder. Trust me, any dysphoria you have is insanely preferable to that. If you can't afford one then there are always giveaways on Tumblr or places that sell binders (www.shapeshifters.co has one on right now :) ) and help schemes which can provide new or lightly used binders. If it's a matter of secrecy, I'd go with shipping it to a trusted friend's house or the whole 2 sports bras (but be really careful with that.) There are no pros and cons here. Just please don't. I hope I've helped. 🤗

But even when I get slightly healthier or just get healthy I’ll still just go to t shirts just because I know my body may not be able to handle a binder and I can ignore everyone
What are the sites that have free binders? I kinda want to sign up for it while using my friend's address because she has supportive parents. When she came out as bi, they treated her the same way as they did before.

At the moment I don’t have a binder. I can’t afford one for another few weeks so in the last 3 months, I’ve used 3 sports bras. Bottom one normal, middle one backwards and top one normal. I should get a binder before Christmas
if you havent already, get a gc2b binder. to me its like binding without feeling like youre binding. but if your binder is stopping you from being able to breathe, youre either not binding correctly or youve got a size too small

I hate everything about them and even tho there barely visible I know there gonna grow and i just don’t want them. I also don’t really feel like fully female. I like to wear skirts but I don’t think clothes have to do anything with gender. I don’t really wanna be any gender tbh. I just wanna be me
Late but I'm a demigirl if it helps. Meaning I partially identify as a female but not fully and partially feel nb. I'm in between them both. Not fully on either side.
I want to bind cause, I don't have a small chest. For my age I have a very large chest, abnormally large? I feel like people look at my chest and not at me. I am a person, look at me. Not the size of my chest..
Hi, i am a pre-everything transman and i do really want a binder to fell more comfortable but my mom is afraid of giving me one because i have asthma, i have tried to look foe information but i found nothing, is it safe to wear a binder with asthma? Sorry for my english jeje i'm still learning.
I would recommend getting tape to bind. Not bandages or anything but transtape. It binds pretty much the same but you are able to breathe in it normally. It works better on smaller chests tho, but i use it too (Double D cup size) and it works just fine. A binder from gc2b in the right size is safe to wear, but only wear it up to 5 hours, and make sure to take it off when you're extremely uncomfortable/ can't really breathe like usual. Also make sure to stretch about every hour, and don't exercise in it. Ever (nobody should do that).
Kamryn Quinn I'm not a doctor or expert so this might not be accurate, but I think it has to do a lot with stretching the skin and being able to operate on the tissue. Binding might shape the tissue in a weird way so that it's harder to remove or make the final results of the surgery look misshapen?
It causes the breast tissue to break down and sag faster, this is problematic because despite its ultimate removal the skin elasticity could be compromised making your post-op recovery time to be longer as well as compromising some of the overall aesthetic results ultimately. More concerningly if you bind for well over a year consistently it has similar affects to that of a corset- ei. slightly reduced lung capacity and its very common to see those who bind have ribs that stick out slightly more than they has pre-binding. Apparently binding too tightly can also ruin the connective tissue of the upper torso. This can have adverse health effects such as * infections * cysts * misshapen/asymmetrical breasts * damage to the respiratory system
It can disqualify you from certain types of top surgery, and affect the aesthetic results of all top surgeries. If you bind dangerously then it can even disqualify you from top surgery, period.
Honestly I know a ton of guys who, before getting top surgery, would bind 24/7. It did not mess up their results in fact their results look great. So... w/e
My binder makes me uncomfortable and more dysmorphic. My chesticles are two way different sizes, so you can see how that’s a problem and guessing what I also have big chesticles ahhh I wanna scream. I did like the way it looks but it was only one good thing and I don’t wear it anymore. But I do get uncomfortable at the thought of my chesticles hanging and people can see them. So I’m looking into trans tape. I don’t like when my chesticles touch together or touch my skin and that’s something that my binder did constantly. 🥲
hi, i have question about binder because i have one breathing is ok but when i first put on very nice i look flat, but a few hours later the effects of the binder disappear it’s very uncomfortable is all binders like that or just this one i buy
It depends on the binder but some do that. Washing it should make it tight again. Only wear it up to 8 hours, no more and never when sleeping or exercising. Stay safe!
I just bought my first good binder. I’ve been using a cheap amazon binder for a long while and my chest has had a slight pain when breathing in even when my binder is off. It’s not horrible but I was wondering if this is a sign that I should stop binding for a while or if this is normal and I’ll be okay to bind.
Hey um.. i have a binder and i can't even remember how or why but i slept with it for more than 24hours. Now my breast hurts. My anxiety is making me think that i have breast cancer cuz it's been hurting for days now.. what should i do? Will the pain go away? I'm 12 years old btw.
I want to wear a binder but my mom won’t let me because I’m at higher risk of breast cancer she told me that if the oncologist says it’s fine than I’m allowed to buy it but I want to know in advanced so if anyone knows the answer please tell me
It's generally bad to have compression like that when you're having to move a lit and breathe deeply. The issue is it constricts the lungs and ribs. Example: I don't do anything intense and I've noticed that my breathing pattern is completely different with a binder (my size, fits fine). My breathing tends to be shallower and I just breathe more often. It's uncomfortable to breathe normally (tight in the lungs + pressure on the ribs). So for sports that would be an issue because typically you need to be able to breathe more/heavier than normal. Probably not the safest, it might cause actual rib injuries or at least some kind of pain. As for alternatives there are a few options. Some of the (unpadded) high impact sports bras can actually compress a decent amount depending on your chest size. The Champion brand has some good ones (or they did? They discontinued my favorite ones a few years ago and I'm still too annoyed to look at their other styles). Again, it really depends. Sports bras tend to be very "lift and support" which doesn't help but some of the high impact ones are more of the "just glue them down so they don't move" variety which does help. You might have to try stuff and read reviews. Underworks makes a binding bra which some people like for sports (I haven't tried it, I've just read reviews, would recommend doing some research). It is shaped like a sports bra but is designed to bind. It doesn't bind as well as a regular binder but it's meant for sports so I can imagine it might be better for your ribs. I also think Shapeshifters makes a sports binder but they aren't currently selling binders at the moment (they're just selling anything they have left in stock which isn't binders and they're making face masks) so I can't check to confirm that.
I need to come out to my parents before getting a binder. I am SO nervous to come out to her, and if I do get a surgery, to come out to anyone else. I really hope that my mom is accepting, and I am pretty sure she will take it well.
A week ago I was so desperate so I started visualizing and saying out loud “ do you want to buy a binder “ in my moms voice. Literally ( I’m serous) three days later my mom asked me some questions and sent me a link to gender nuteral swim suits and asked if I wanted anything. Later that day I ordered a binder and it’s in the mail!
I tried every way to get a binder but my friends can't get me any because their not allowed to buy anything same with me, plus my parents are in charge of the mail, and I have no material to make a binder and the only thing I can use is tape. How do I get a binder? I don't want to break my rips or mess up me getting top surgery in the future, I even tried subliminals and that doesn't work, and I can't stand having my chest pls I'm desperate I don't know
hey, you still need help? i think it would help if you tried binding with kt tape (no, for all the concerned, not duct tape and it's not going all around your torso). it doesn't bind nearly as good as binders if you have a big chest, but it helps in masculinizing it and actually with the right techniqe will make you pretty flat if you're A or B cup. search up "kt tape binding tutorial", you'll find safe ways to bind with tape, and you can get it in any walmart or similar store for relatively small amount of money. tho i hope you were able to get a binder after all
If anyone is willing to answer is it okay to wear a binder at a young age. I heard someone say it is okay to wear one if you're under 15. I am younger than 15 but I am a size 36b. Can I still wear a binder. Is it even safe to?
Hey I know this was 7 months ago and idk where you’re at now but I figured I’d answer your question. Yes it is safe to bind I am also under 15 and my chest is a similar size to yours. I recommend binders from gc2b and if you are in between measurements get a size up. Also listen to your body. If it hurts really bad take it off for the rest of the day. Stay safe
does anyone have the links as to where someone could get a free binder? i’m looking for one. i’m 14 yrs old, and my parents don’t support me coming out as FTM at all. i would love to get a binder secretly without their knowing, just so i can help get rid of the dysphoria, but i have no options concerning money. again, does anyone have the links? you can message me over youtube if possible. thank you :)
Does anyone know a safe website to get a free binder from? I don't have money of my own yet and my mom won't accept me and buy one for me, so yeah 😶 my hands are tied rn
Probably the wrong size. I, with a double D cup have a xl binder. When putting it on also make sure that your chest is not facing down. Pull them up and to the sides for the best results!
What if my family can't know..I made my own watching a video and its comfy and I'm hoping to get a binder as I started binding last night and woo I love it :> Pray I can find a good binder
I would recommennd a binder from gc2b or underworks. You could send the binder to a friend who supports you and has supportive parents annd if you dont have the money you could ask your friend to help you out or you could try to get a free binder. If you cant do that you could try to wear 3 sports bras ontop of eachother and it could work aswell and its safe. Making your own binder is really dangerous and getting a good binder is worth it for the future. Wish you luck!
Dw about it I’m sure your friend will understand and idk as long as you pay them back. When I got my first binder I came out to a friend and he helped me pay for the binder and get the binder and then I payed everything back as soon as possible.

I used to put on two sports bras, and that's when I was male. I am now non binary and now my breast are kinda.. bigger so idk what to do now. I cant ask my mom for a binder so is it okay to use two sports bras again???
There are multiple companies that provide free binders. I would just look up free binders or donated binders. Also if you do find a way to obtain a binder you should ABSOLUTELY find a good friend that you trust to ship the binder to. Also after you take off your binder you should hide it where only you can find it. That way none of your family will find out. Hope that helps!
Before I leave this comment, please don’t reply with hate I just want an answer. Okay so I identify as nonbinary. I’m out to my parents, although they use the wrong pronouns and my dad thinks it’s some sort of phase (maybe it is I dunno) but I am considering getting a binder this year (or maybe next year) I’ve identified as nonbinary for about a year now. Okay but the main reason I wanted to leave a comment is I’m probably going to get a binder (hopefully soon) and I genuinely want a flat chest but (at the moment) I do not want top surgery because that’s kinda a life changing thing and I can always just not wear a binder (plus I’m not old enough) From what I know binders kinda fuck up your chest. So you have to be really careful. Do you still recommend wearing one? I’ll feel less dysphoric so..
one day I slept by my girlfriend and forgot to take my binder off and on the 2nd day halfway through, I felt like my binder was about to pull a springtrap on my chest ;-;
I'm really nervous about this...I'm 13 and my parents don't know that I am a trans (female to male). I also don't want it to be obvious that I have a binding thing on, someone help. My parents will be disgusted and annoyed that a child like me exists, and I don't want to disappoint them, I know some people at my school who are lesbian, however I am extremely nervous about asking her. And I don't think I can speak to her alone. Question : Is it ever too late to bind?
No, it's never too late. their isn't a certain age you need to stop binding. Also, you don't have to tell your mom you're trans to get a binder. You can just say "I found this undergarment that makes your chest look flatter, and I would feel more confident with a flat chest." Also, you can get a Visa card and buy a binder with that. And order around the holidays so you can just say it's a gift. (If you need to hide the binder from them)
My parents are divorce and I live with my dad I want a binder but my family is homophobic and hate girls trying to be guys My mom is ok with it I go to her house every weekend and I thought I might get my hair cut there But my mom didn't arrive today so I'm still this person I'm pretending to be

I’m so uncomfortable if I’m even wearing a regular bra to where I usually put on a bra, 3 tank tops, a shirt, and a hoodie
If you are uncomfortable in a regular bra, maybe you feel more comfortable in a sports bra (try different ones, some are designed to both support and help keep the shape of the boobs), maybe you have tried this already but if you haven't you should. Easier to get ahold of, and you can wear them on the days you don't bind (when/if you get a binder).
scouttyra
No, not uncomfortable in that way, I get so uncomfortable if my chest isn’t completely flat, so I bind my chest until I’m comfortable
What I meant is that many sports bras do give you a flatter chest, although I understand that you might have misunderstood what I originally wrote.
dreamcell Sports bra, 2 tank tops, loose shirt and jacket. My chest isn’t actually that big but I hate everything about it and just want to have a completely flat chest.
@@literallynothing1520 Same! And my family always asks why I wear so many shirts 😂
I am a girl and I was made fun of because of my Brest and I’m not transgender but it made me feel better about my self.
gigi aww thx
Alot of feminine people bind because they have a large chest. You don't have to be trans to do it. If it makes you feel comfortable than you do you 😘
me too! but i also don’t really like my chest. so i have money for a binder i just don’t know how to ask my mom. i might have a binder soon!
I'm still wearing it
Same
Please don't do that, you can mess up your body seriously.
Wait kovu's video?

I used to always want a binder until I actually got one. I cried, I cried because It did nothing. I tried a tighter one but I couldn't breathe. So now I'm sad everyday and there's nothing I can do until I turn 18 and get surgery.
How often do you need to get a new binder? what temperature water should you wash your binder with? My binder has gotten really loses really quickly and isn’t giving me the results it used to, is there a way to combat this? How do you get pit stains out? Does fabric softener effect the efficiency of the binder? Does not washing my binder as much as recommended effect the efficiency?
Can someone please let me know where I can get a free one!??

Can I bind my chest to Make my over sized breast smaller not flat
lovie 2 Cook Yes you can! I recommend GC2B. Just go a size up
Most people with larger chest will still have a bit of a curve in their chest even after binding. So yes I would recommend a GC2B binder as well. They are on the cheaper side and very comfortable in my opinion. They also come in fun colors or nudes depending on what you're into 😺
I've never slept in my binder. I never will. Please don't.
Is it bad to bind with ace bandages? If it is what are the possible side affects so I can weigh the pros and cons. Thank you to any people who respond
If it's a matter of secrecy, I'd go with shipping it to a trusted friend's house or the whole 2 sports bras (but be really careful with that.)
There are no pros and cons here. Just please don't.
I hope I've helped. 🤗

I’m alright being a girl but normally I wear huge t shirts because I get so much attention from having a larger chest. I remember thinking about getting a chest binder but then I realized that wouldn’t be the best for my body because I’m pretty weak as of now from not eating much.
But even when I get slightly healthier or just get healthy I’ll still just go to t shirts just because I know my body may not be able to handle a binder and I can ignore everyone
You could always wear a sports bra instead of a binder?

if you havent already, get a gc2b binder. to me its like binding without feeling like youre binding. but if your binder is stopping you from being able to breathe, youre either not binding correctly or youve got a size too small
Get a size up it still binds good. And if you don't use GC2B already, do so because those are easier to breathe in.

@@sandcat2327 thank you so much 😊😊😊😊
Something that still doesn't make sense to me is when they say "it affects your best tissue" but... you're getting it all removed anyway?
This can have adverse health effects such as
* infections
* cysts
* misshapen/asymmetrical breasts
* damage to the respiratory system
It can disqualify you from certain types of top surgery, and affect the aesthetic results of all top surgeries. If you bind dangerously then it can even disqualify you from top surgery, period.
Honestly I know a ton of guys who, before getting top surgery, would bind 24/7. It did not mess up their results in fact their results look great. So... w/e
And I know of individuals whom it has had a negative affect on. I dont see how this anecdotal evidence is relevant.
I hope ur doing okay beans. have you found a better solution since u wrote ur comment?

hi, i have question about binder because i have one breathing is ok but when i first put on very nice i look flat, but a few hours later the effects of the binder disappear it’s very uncomfortable is all binders like that or just this one i buy
It depends on the binder but some do that. Washing it should make it tight again. Only wear it up to 8 hours, no more and never when sleeping or exercising. Stay safe!
Do you stay flat after years of binding?

I just bought my first good binder. I’ve been using a cheap amazon binder for a long while and my chest has had a slight pain when breathing in even when my binder is off. It’s not horrible but I was wondering if this is a sign that I should stop binding for a while or if this is normal and I’ll be okay to bind.

I heard you shouldn’t wear a binder while doing sports but I do a lot of sports so I don’t know how that would work out ;-; any tips?
Simply Vince Thanks for the information I really appreciate it I’ll look into it :)

I don't want to break my rips or mess up me getting top surgery in the future, I even tried subliminals and that doesn't work, and I can't stand having my chest pls I'm desperate I don't know
hey, you still need help? i think it would help if you tried binding with kt tape (no, for all the concerned, not duct tape and it's not going all around your torso). it doesn't bind nearly as good as binders if you have a big chest, but it helps in masculinizing it and actually with the right techniqe will make you pretty flat if you're A or B cup. search up "kt tape binding tutorial", you'll find safe ways to bind with tape, and you can get it in any walmart or similar store for relatively small amount of money. tho i hope you were able to get a binder after all
Should I get a binder since I'm nonbinary?
If you want to bind, get one. But if you don't then that's perfectly valid as well :)

There are multiple companies that provide free binders. I would just look up free binders or donated binders. Hi
If you'll feel less dysphoric, buy it. Just, be careful

(If you need to hide the binder from them)
Wait im so confused with "68 hours a day"
