something that helped me recently: a necklace! I have one with an adjustable leather strap with a large tooth, and having that be a little bit longer actually does that "taking away attention" thing really well
You have to be VERY careful to never let slouching become part of your daily routine. It's surprisingly common for transmasculine people to end up with some kind of spinal issue due to the poor posture from hiding their chests this way
A really useful thing for me (Trans boy, very much a minor, no T, no op, no binder, all improvised) Is wearing a tank top underneath you shirt and tucking it TIGHT into your waistline, if you get it to lay right it can pull taut and not only hide a lot of the shape of the pointy mfing honkers but also kinda flatten them out if they aren’t already compressed. And for those wondering about heat, it is noticeably hotter and more humid but so long as you aren’t running a marathon in full sun you should be fine, note that I am from a southern state in America, so other countries may have hotter summers or weaker people idk
“Weaker people” is so funny 💀 yeah no it gets probably about as hot as the southern US here in South Africa, but it gets fucking cold in winter so usually I’m wearing so many layers that I can get away with not wearing a binder at all
thank you so much, im a 16yo tgirl who started diy hrt a few months ago and am gonna have to start binding around my family because they're transphobic and i have no knowledge of binders so this is extremely helpful
Ive been trans since i was a kid, but i decided to just ignore it because i knew people wouldnt understand as i was just a kid. Now that im older, ive cut my hair, use binders and dress "masculine". Ive come out to my whole family, even though they dont understand and areant as supportive im still happy. This also really helps me for when i need chest binder breaks and i still wanna hide my chest. I cant be openly trans where i live because its a transphobic community. But i sometimes get called a guy by people who dont know me. Which makes me happy, and im gonna go on testerone in a year or 2. Thank you for this video
I’m a 40ddd and I feel you so bad. It’s hell trying to find any compression tops or binders because it just doesn’t fit right, the chest ends up too tight and my ribs and far too loose, like I could fit a whole ass first into the rib area
I get you! Even though i'm nowhere near a DDD, I'm still pretty big! I'm a 40D, and i'm not exactly a thin person (i'm overweight), so it's very difficult for me to hide my chest most of the time! I tried two different binders, but it's nearly impossible for me to pull them over my head and chest! I struggle with them, even though one has a zipper in the front, and it's very uncomfortable for me to wear them for more than like 20 minutes and actually make me feel like i'm short of breath. So i think those are definitely not gonna work, and i won't be buying others! I guess maybe i'll just try and go with a bralette and sports bras under big t shirts 😅
@@AirGoddess1087 are you sure it’s not too small size? Because sure it’s uncomfortable as hell to wear to but it should go over your head fine and you should still be able to breathe
Ty, as a minor this is so helpful. ALSO, I FEEL THE SLOUCHING PART. I do it subconsciously and honestly have no clue when I'm slouching or not, simply because of my chest. Mainly due to my voice which already makes me self conscious, because I feel like people can automatically tell that I'm not a bio male. Word of advice guys, don't worry about how your voice sounds! Especially if you're still under 18, it's hard to ignore/deal with, Ik. But it'll be okay, promise, just try to distract yourself or do something that you like. So that you aren't as worried about your voice, which I know is easier said than done but you've got this! ✨
I don't really identify as queer, but I've always hated the functionality of "feminine" looking bras and like to be a bit more ambiguous with my styling choices. Thanks for the vid, love your style, and I'll possibly try a couple suggestions to get some summertime confidence! Always hated summer styles for this reason.
trans tape has been my lifeline this summer, i recommend urbasics so so highly it’s the only tape i’ve tried that doesn’t give me any blistering at all (and i have super sensitive skin), no redness just remove it in the shower under warm water and you’re set. it’s so comfy and breathable and soooo much nicer than a binder especially in the heat
Thanks for the rec! I like transtape but every time I remove it it leaves blisters so I’ve stayed away from that the whole summer. Urbasics isn’t cheap tho :’)…
Here is what I did to get a binder incase it helps anyone. I told my family i was planning on doing some cosplays that needed to have a flatter shape because they were male characters and I showed them pictures of said character so they got me them and then after I got them I said that I can't do them this year because of the cost of the other things that I would need. If this helps give anyone ideas or anything I'm glad I could help.
I can't use binders and never really liked any bras, even if they're very loose, because it makes me feel like I can't breathe. But I tried tape now (I can't buy proper trans tape here, so it's just normal sports tape, but many people use it for that too) and it's really good? I was worried for sensory issues too, but I feel it much less than bras or anything. It can be a bit itchy because of the glue, but maybe proper trans tape would be different. I don't thnk there's any dangers or health risks, as long as you take it off with oil or cream. After wearing it some time it also goes off easier. For me it's fine as long as I don't wear it longer than like 8-9 days. My skin gets a bit irritated by taking it off but that's gone after a bit. It also helps to put cream on before putting the tape on...just not everywhere bc then the tape doesn't stick.
Thank you for the tips! I like my chest to look flat but I tend to get uncomfortable with any compression on my chest, even regular bras feel too constricting. What helps me the most is layers, which is tricky in summer. I like to wear lightweight button up shirts over tank tops or bralettes. They are nice to wear in the summer as long as they are breathable fabric and they also are good to keep the sun off your skin. I also got some overall shorts recently and I love to wear them in summer because it adds an extra layer to cover my chest without being too hot. When I do wear a binder I wear my old one that's kind of stretched out so it's more comfortable.
I don’t have enough chest to need a binder (sometimes yay, sometimes sad). You bet I’m gonna watch the vid and drop a comment, they’re a really good resource and super cool!
my gender is basically girl/boy with a hint of enby, and i have no idea what that falls umder but i genuinely do not care about labeling my gender even though i love presenting feminine, i want to bring out my masculine side more (and even if im presenting very fem, i still want a flat chest). i very much need this video (hopefully one day i can get a hysterectomy and top surgery otherwise i will lose my mind)
just an important note: non-binary doesn't mean just having no gender. it's an umbrella term for anyone who isn't 100% male and only male 100% of the time, or 100% female and only female 100% of the time. having no gender, being male but only sometimes, being male AND female, your gender changing, and anything else are ALL non-binary identities!
I unfortunately am not allowed to get a binder, and I’m struggling with telling my parents and friends. Thank you for these tips, I really appreciate it :)

i have a lot of sensory issues and i do want to hype up trans tape, its my favorite binding method! it takes some time to perfect (i have a larger chest as well) but its the most comfortable for me from a sensory perspective, like i literally forget that its there!
im just gonna share a little tip i have, as a person that binds by wearing multiple sports bras because my parents cannot know i’m enby (theyre unsupportive) when getting new shirts i pay attention to how loose they are around the the neck and shoulders. often times my shirts slip and slide and it’s very easy to see i’m not wearing only one bra so it’s important for that area of my shirt to be firm and not move. be safe guys!
OMG I HAVE NEVER BEEN THIS EARLYBON ONE OF YOUR VIDEOS!! Hi iris!! Your first binder video was really helpful to me because I'm just starting to get my chest and it gives me super dysphoria, so THANK YOU OMG YOU SAVED MY SANITY
I am transfem, however the video was interesting, and the thing at the end, wearing things that just make you happy, even if it isn't gender euphoria does still rly help, as just being in a better mood abt sth makes dysphoria way less, that's sth i realised recently as i was rly stressed over sth irl and for 2 days my dysphoria got worse than it had been in more than 3 years (currently 2 years on hrt, overall i'm really happy with my body/the changes, just external stuff influenced my mental health and the dysphoria that was still there felt like it was "zoomed in")

A binding method that I use without a binder! :D Get a tank top bra, preferably with adjustable straps! Put it on, fold it in half, and adjust to your liking! In my opinion, it’s very comfortable and easy to wear, and hides my chest pretty alright! Even if you’d like, try a size lower than your size! Not sure if it would be comfortable as I haven’t tried, but I’d love to hear! :D
bro my sibling literally came into the room at the end just to ask me what the song was!! entranced bc it was so pretty gahhh. also tysm for this video
As a non-binary teenager who gets their first binders tomorrow I'm so thankful for this video! It helped me so much with my body dysmorphia today, especially because I see that I'm not alone! Even in a transphobic and homophobic town i started to feel more comfortable with my identity! Still working on the confidence but your videos help me so much 🖤
Another good binder option is Tomscout, it’s made in my country which is known for being pretty hot and humid (30 Celsius average temp) so it’s good for summer weather. I was kind of disappointed because I thought my chest would be completely flat as a board, but ig with my size that’s just not realistic. It’s a pretty comfy binder and the fabric is nice and breathable
I have to mention that binding tape also exists and can be used, even for bigger chests. It's less restrictive/hot than a binder and easier to hide under clothes. It's not as flat as a binder but leaves your chest looking much more like pecs. Your mileage may vary, of course. I find it makes wearing tank/muscle tops so much easier for me because the feeling of bras and binders drew my attention to my chest way too much.
I’ve been putting two sports bras. The first one normal and the second one turned around. It works pretty well and my chest is not that noticeable. My parents and friends probably would accept me if I actually asked for a binder, so this works well.
Kinetology(?) tape is great too and cheaper than transtape. I personally use that and i never had issues with it. I think there are also some biodegradable versions but its more expensive.
After also having my initial discomfort with a gc2b binder, Shapeshifters was my upgrade. Liked the customizeability of the size/cut and options for zipper placement (I put it on the side to I could unzip it without anything showing, as I also wear it like a shirt with nothing over/under it).
I have a skin issue that disallows me from wearing clothes that create friction - thanks so much for some tips without binders! The cut off actually disguises my chest :D
This is incredibly helpful! I can't safely wear a binder (connective tissue disorder makes my ribs dislocate too easily, even some sports bras do the same thing so I have to be very careful) and binding with tape, while more comfortable, is expensive and I get friction blisters so easily even if I do everything right. So seeing different ideas for disguising my chest is very helpful!
yo this is awesome! I don't bind for sensory reasons (or bra) so the distracting tip is going to be super helpful! any tips on styling or whatever in a way to alleviate hip/leg (?thigh?) dysphoria perchance
Have you ever tried binding tape? Bras and binders were too much for me but binding tape feels much better when I apply it correctly. Also, for the pants: you can't minimise hips so instead try to create a straight line from hip to ankle (or hip to knee for shorts). Think wide, straight-cut pants. Your curves will be swallowed up.
i call mine "the boys". my biggest tip for binding is to go actually look at people's naked chests and internalize the idea that a vast majority of chests on people whose nipples aren't illegal on youtube are rounded outward more than most think. my next tip is: learn some upper body yoga and do them habitually (pretend it's your a video game character and that's your idol animation!) im a fat person with c-cups (d on my period), and my most recent breakthrough in comfortable binding is the humble ribbed a-frame undershirt. i wear them tucked into my pants under my shirts. theres something about the stretch fabric linking my stomach and chest together. in combination with my own associations with that specific type of shirt and buch/masc identity. like there's something so euphoric about being part of a clothing tradition that my grand-dad's grand-dad would understand. (light undershirts were standard parts of men's underwear for a long time until laundry and clothing were made so very convenient.) and while it may be counter-intuitive- adding a plant-based layer inbetween my skin and the plastic clothing gives the sweat somewhere to collect and evaporate which keeps me cooler longer. instead of when i would wear anything else (including just a shirt) because the sweat would be trapped underneith the polyester/acrylic/lycra/spandex/microplastic/ fabric and just make me wet and hot(derogatory) all day. also shirts that are stiff in the front are fantastic to help with that resting-to-drop-off transition at the top of your chest. whether that's a thick blocky graphic, a large patch or applique, or a pressed button up, it can help smooth over that area.
Recently I read welcome to st hells had a binder tip was the front panel for a binder in a normal vest top because Lewis found normal binders uncomfy and I'm definitely going to try it with my old one that's too small now
As someone who wears trans tape a lot (usually to exercise + move) and has a lot of sensory issues I would definitely recommend, just make sure you buy baby oil and read the instructions thoroughly many many times - also cover the sensitive areas of your chest because the tape can damage them if not properly covered
actually i can wear a binder in the summer but my parents found it and burned it... so i couldn't wear some clothes that i didn't feel comfortable in without binder so i had to find ways to hide my chest so this video is very helpful
Thank you so much for the tips, I’m kind of agender myself so this comes as really helpful ❤ I also love your hair, it’s very similar to mine, but yours is the correct version ✨
The algorithm was on its top game with showing me this video. ❤ I super appreciate the way the side by side examples were set up and how this covered specific ways that different articles were for sensory issues and why it helps with better shaping.
Schools starting and our uniforms are so bad. Plain T-shirts that are very hugging and there are no bigger size options they are just longer. Being overweight and not being able to bind is just so bad when you are forced to wear tight tops but your videos really help and maybe I'll be able to convince my mom to buy a sports bra!
Instead of slouching i wear things that create a barrier between someone's eyes and a side view of my chest. (e.g. Unzipped zip up sweatshirts) and i also cross my arms (usually not hugging the bottom of my chesticles) and that makes it seem smaller in most outfits. (plus i wear a lot of oversized shirts with stiff fabric so that helps with making my chest seem flatter when i cross my arms)
Great video! Love the tips! I've hated my chest since puberty due to assault and have always been interested in, yet intimidated by, finding a good binder. Currently i just have a few sports bras that are super comfy and somewhat reducing. But they're old and i can't even read the brand name so soon I have to do some shopping. I love the zipper one the most. So easy to get on and off and looks comfy as heck.
Thankfully I’m comfortable in both my binder and sports bra and even with a normal bra that doesn’t hide my chest cus I’m so comfortable in my body and identity I don’t always mind. But I am still very happy to watch this video and get tips and more ideas If needed, thank you!
Thank you so much for the tips!! As a closted enby this means a lot to me!! I already do a lot of styling to make myself more comfortable and I hadnt thought about minimizing the way the fabric lays around the side-boob area- thanks again
Your tips are amazing thank you so much for them!!!! I do have a question, sorry if its annoying but I dont really have anyone else in real life to ask about this. Basically I had a rib injury a while ago (2 years) and I haven't been able to bind since as my rib is now very sensitive to stuff like pressure, but I was wondering if it would be good to eventually try binding again? I am facing problems in my new work and school because of my appearance being fem and my name being masc.
I’ve been avoiding wearing a binder or any kind of bra at all like this! (Tho I’m more on the smaller side thankfully, otherwise I would probably not be able to pull it off). It feels so much less dysphoric. I get sensory issues from binders so I kind of have no choice. I second all of this advice about shirt choices and stuff (tho I haven’t tried the cutting up shirts thing). I love your accessories btw, especially that choker with the spikes, it looks really cool!! (Also I tend to call them “chest things”, calling them anything like “boobs” would feel way too dysphoric. Another one I’ve seen that I find really funny is “chesticles” XD) Edit: I almost forgot to say this but another piece of advice about shirt choices is avoiding very regular, geometric patterns, especially ones with straight lines like checkered patterns! Though it’s sometimes worth it to try something on regardless to see if it really has that effect. Patterns like that emphasize curves. Actually, playing with more messy patterns can sometimes help if you like patterns. I personally like camo, it really hides shapes like that which makes sense since it was designed to hide shapes and make people blend into the background in forests and stuff. But plain black or otherwise dark fabric is also ofc a safe option.
OH MY GOD TYSM FOR THIS, i live in a really hot country so even just wearing a bra under my clothes is nearly unbearable, but i still want ways to make my chest look flatter
Tips for trans tape! Spend the money to get good tape, ive used cheap and expensive tape, the cheap stuff always blisters, and hurts. Wider tape will last longer bc you don't have to use as many strips if you use more than one of smaller tape Make sure the stuff anchoring the tape to your skin is not stretched, that can cause blisters as well

You have to be VERY careful to never let slouching become part of your daily routine. It's surprisingly common for transmasculine people to end up with some kind of spinal issue due to the poor posture from hiding their chests this way
@@acespades2387 ye I got scoliosis lmao
Yeah, don’t do that. My neck and shoulders are fucked up from slouching most of my life
@@lyeondoe4990 lmao same
A really useful thing for me (Trans boy, very much a minor, no T, no op, no binder, all improvised) Is wearing a tank top underneath you shirt and tucking it TIGHT into your waistline, if you get it to lay right it can pull taut and not only hide a lot of the shape of the pointy mfing honkers but also kinda flatten them out if they aren’t already compressed. And for those wondering about heat, it is noticeably hotter and more humid but so long as you aren’t running a marathon in full sun you should be fine, note that I am from a southern state in America, so other countries may have hotter summers or weaker people idk
thank u for sharing!! 💌
“Weaker people” is so funny 💀 yeah no it gets probably about as hot as the southern US here in South Africa, but it gets fucking cold in winter so usually I’m wearing so many layers that I can get away with not wearing a binder at all
And tank top under the skirt and other top cloths it or atleast was verry normal for all cis men before. Also protect the overtop from sweet
thank you so much, im a 16yo tgirl who started diy hrt a few months ago and am gonna have to start binding around my family because they're transphobic and i have no knowledge of binders so this is extremely helpful
Ty!! I'm a 26DDD (yes 26!!) and it's literally the most awkward size ever. I feel like I have such limited options when it comes to hiding my chest 😭
Because sure it’s uncomfortable as hell to wear to but it should go over your head fine and you should still be able to breathe
as a 34H its fr so hard to bind because the way im built lol
Mood, 38 DD ;;-;; yeh sure im also not exactly thin but ah man i want top surgery so bad that way i can be the bear i was made to be u-u
That’s actually really useful for the heat wave my city is currently in, so thanks for the tips iris!
🙏❤️
I don’t hate feminine looks, I just think my boobs get in the way sometimes wearing those bras😂
@@Sirawxy RIGHT???? 👀
stopp your voice is actually so beautiful WHAT
hehe thank u!
As someone studying personal stylist in a country where summer is the 80% of the year. I like this!
trans tape has been my lifeline this summer, i recommend urbasics so so highly it’s the only tape i’ve tried that doesn’t give me any blistering at all (and i have super sensitive skin), no redness just remove it in the shower under warm water and you’re set. it’s so comfy and breathable and soooo much nicer than a binder especially in the heat
If this helps give anyone ideas or anything I'm glad I could help.
oh my god i did this exact same thing to get my first binder lmao. great minds think alike fr
When I do wear a binder I wear my old one that's kind of stretched out so it's more comfortable.
the second you mentioned the slouch, I felt called out 😂

yessss, they r so underrated
I don’t have enough chest to need a binder (sometimes yay, sometimes sad). You bet I’m gonna watch the vid and drop a comment, they’re a really good resource and super cool!
my gender is basically girl/boy with a hint of enby, and i have no idea what that falls umder but i genuinely do not care about labeling my gender
even though i love presenting feminine, i want to bring out my masculine side more (and even if im presenting very fem, i still want a flat chest). i very much need this video
(hopefully one day i can get a hysterectomy and top surgery otherwise i will lose my mind)
real!!!
just an important note: non-binary doesn't mean just having no gender. it's an umbrella term for anyone who isn't 100% male and only male 100% of the time, or 100% female and only female 100% of the time.
having no gender, being male but only sometimes, being male AND female, your gender changing, and anything else are ALL non-binary identities!
I unfortunately am not allowed to get a binder, and I’m struggling with telling my parents and friends. Thank you for these tips, I really appreciate it :)
Thank you for this! I’m a cis woman but I don’t have much of an attachment to my chest and would rather squish them down and not worry about them
If they won't love you no matter where your transition may end up, they don't truly love you🎉
So I’m a trans woman who is currently working on growing breasts through HRT! I can’t relate to this video much, but it’s nice to see what other people do for gender affirmation. Thanks for sharing!
i have a lot of sensory issues and i do want to hype up trans tape, its my favorite binding method! it takes some time to perfect (i have a larger chest as well) but its the most comfortable for me from a sensory perspective, like i literally forget that its there!
I've been straightening my back these days even though I really want to slouch 😔
You are stopping long term back hurt!!! (I would know)
@@Starl1ng.real, I have neck and shoulder pain constantly and ik it’s because I slouch😭
i'm so glad i found ur channel, covering actual topics i struggle w, of which nobody in my life is even fully aware/supportive
im just gonna share a little tip i have, as a person that binds by wearing multiple sports bras because my parents cannot know i’m enby (theyre unsupportive) when getting new shirts i pay attention to how loose they are around the the neck and shoulders. often times my shirts slip and slide and it’s very easy to see i’m not wearing only one bra so it’s important for that area of my shirt to be firm and not move. be safe guys!
This is.. exactly what I needed, I'm shocked that YT knew because this isn't usually the content I watch lol. Thank you for this!! New sub
thanks for watching!! ❤️
OMG I HAVE NEVER BEEN THIS EARLYBON ONE OF YOUR VIDEOS!! Hi iris!! Your first binder video was really helpful to me because I'm just starting to get my chest and it gives me super dysphoria, so THANK YOU OMG YOU SAVED MY SANITY
yayyy thanks for watching!
Loved the video, especially the tip about cutting up your shirts is great, I always forget that I can diy my clothing
I am transfem, however the video was interesting, and the thing at the end, wearing things that just make you happy, even if it isn't gender euphoria does still rly help, as just being in a better mood abt sth makes dysphoria way less, that's sth i realised recently as i was rly stressed over sth irl and for 2 days my dysphoria got worse than it had been in more than 3 years (currently 2 years on hrt, overall i'm really happy with my body/the changes, just external stuff influenced my mental health and the dysphoria that was still there felt like it was "zoomed in")
Your singing is beautiful 😭❤
thank u!
mix of ketchup mustard and bbq sauce for fries!!! needed this video i’ve been having a lot of dysphoria n ur my comfort youtuber tbh. hope you are doing well and sending all the love!!! 🍟❤️

i’m not trans (i’m a demigirl) but sometimes i wanna embrace my inner adam sandler so this is very helpful!!
demigirl is in the enby & trans umbrella, so you're trans
@@Hann551 ohh thank you!!
shoulder pads hide chest size too! this works great for me cause 1. i already have broad shoulders and 2. i wear lots of 80s & 90s stuff
im not even trans i just absoulutley hate having visible boobs idk why😭and always wanted want my chest to be smaller even when its already kind of small your videos are so helpful xx
A binding method that I use without a binder! :D
Get a tank top bra, preferably with adjustable straps! :D
This ia gonna be so useful
although i do not have body dysmorphia, i am she/her, this is really interesting and i will definitely be watching more of their videos ✨✨
now THIS is what i want to agorythm to show me; thank you so much Iris
bro my sibling literally came into the room at the end just to ask me what the song was!! entranced bc it was so pretty gahhh. also tysm for this video
As a non-binary teenager who gets their first binders tomorrow I'm so thankful for this video! It helped me so much with my body dysmorphia today, especially because I see that I'm not alone! Even in a transphobic and homophobic town i started to feel more comfortable with my identity! Still working on the confidence but your videos help me so much 🖤
ngl youre my comfort person rn
they're so pretty omg
Another good binder option is Tomscout, it’s made in my country which is known for being pretty hot and humid (30 Celsius average temp) so it’s good for summer weather. I was kind of disappointed because I thought my chest would be completely flat as a board, but ig with my size that’s just not realistic. It’s a pretty comfy binder and the fabric is nice and breathable
i dont have much dysphoria(enby, btw), but it(yk what) has been bugging me SO MUCH these past few years and i appriciate this so much!!!!
i love your hair sm bro 😭
you are literally a life saver oh my god thank you
no but like, why are you so prettyyyyy???? N THANK YOU!!!
you're so pretty?? 😭😭TYSM BTW
I can recommend Transtape if binders or even sportbras feel uncomfortable on your ribs , because it doesn’t give tension on your ribs
love hearing your singing! I always rock out to your end song too, would love to hear a full version if it exists ☺️
I can't safely wear a binder (connective tissue disorder makes my ribs dislocate too easily, even some sports bras do the same thing so I have to be very careful)
and binding with tape, while more comfortable, is expensive and I get friction blisters so easily even if I do everything right.
So seeing different ideas for disguising my chest is very helpful!
i love the realness and just overall honesty of this video! thanks so much!!!🥺🥺💝
Always appriciate your advice in these videos 🙏
yo this is awesome! I don't bind for sensory reasons (or bra) so the distracting tip is going to be super helpful! any tips on styling or whatever in a way to alleviate hip/leg (?thigh?) dysphoria perchance
I have pretty narrow hips, so I don't experience this often, but I recommend sticking to veryyyy baggy jeans
Your curves will be swallowed up.
i call mine "the boys".
my biggest tip for binding is to go actually look at people's naked chests and internalize the idea that a vast majority of chests on people whose nipples aren't illegal on youtube are rounded outward more than most think.
my next tip is: learn some upper body yoga and do them habitually (pretend it's your a video game character and that's your idol animation!)
im a fat person with c-cups (d on my period), and my most recent breakthrough in comfortable binding is the humble ribbed a-frame undershirt. i wear them tucked into my pants under my shirts. theres something about the stretch fabric linking my stomach and chest together. in combination with my own associations with that specific type of shirt and buch/masc identity. like there's something so euphoric about being part of a clothing tradition that my grand-dad's grand-dad would understand. (light undershirts were standard parts of men's underwear for a long time until laundry and clothing were made so very convenient.)
and while it may be counter-intuitive- adding a plant-based layer inbetween my skin and the plastic clothing gives the sweat somewhere to collect and evaporate which keeps me cooler longer. instead of when i would wear anything else (including just a shirt) because the sweat would be trapped underneith the polyester/acrylic/lycra/spandex/microplastic/ fabric and just make me wet and hot(derogatory) all day.
also shirts that are stiff in the front are fantastic to help with that resting-to-drop-off transition at the top of your chest. whether that's a thick blocky graphic, a large patch or applique, or a pressed button up, it can help smooth over that area.
Recently I read welcome to st hells had a binder tip was the front panel for a binder in a normal vest top because Lewis found normal binders uncomfy and I'm definitely going to try it with my old one that's too small now
I'm unsure about your comment, but please don't wear a binder that's much too small.
@@JustAHarmlessSoph no yeah that's why it's just sitting in my draw and I might use it for this hack because it only requires half a binder
Okay speaking of binders my actual favourite binder is CB01 print edition. It's comfortable and binds well and the pattern is fun to wear :)
Thank you so much for the tips, I’m kind of agender myself so this comes as really helpful ❤ I also love your hair, it’s very similar to mine, but yours is the correct version ✨
The algorithm was on its top game with showing me this video. ❤ I super appreciate the way the side by side examples were set up and how this covered specific ways that different articles were for sensory issues and why it helps with better shaping.
this helped a ton!!! thank you so much iris! :D
omg this right before school season TYYYY IRISSS💕💕‼️‼️
😇❤️
You are good at singing!
Thank you for this! I’ve almost had heat stroke 3 times from layering/wearing hoodies in hot weather :(
Thankfully I’m comfortable in both my binder and sports bra and even with a normal bra that doesn’t hide my chest cus I’m so comfortable in my body and identity I don’t always mind.
But I am still very happy to watch this video and get tips and more ideas If needed, thank you!
Im so exciteddddddddd :3
Thank you so much for the tips!! As a closted enby this means a lot to me!! I already do a lot of styling to make myself more comfortable and I hadnt thought about minimizing the way the fabric lays around the side-boob area- thanks again
Love the idea of cutting shirts! So many neck lines are too tight!
Thank you really, I send your video to my friend and brother that's gonna really help both of them ^^
Your tips are amazing thank you so much for them!!!!
You're amazing! This is so helpful and I liked your song at the end
ty hehe
RAHHH thank you so much I would luv to buy a binder but I haven’t come out yet and it’s just scary (I subscribed)
Your hair looks awesome :o
i love your videos you're a life saver iris 😢
Another one I’ve seen that I find really funny is “chesticles” XD)
Edit: I almost forgot to say this but another piece of advice about shirt choices is avoiding very regular, geometric patterns, especially ones with straight lines like checkered patterns!
I never saw fhis kind of advice this is SO helpful omg thank youuu!!
Wider tape will last longer bc you don't have to use as many strips if you use more than one of smaller tape
Make sure the stuff anchoring the tape to your skin is not stretched, that can cause blisters as well
TY ONCE AGAIN BIG BROTHER IRIS
