I hope this can help for you! I know for shaping and sculpting to not compress as much as support; people will lift the tape up more and compress less to the sides. I know that can be a hassle with a larger chest, as I encountered that myself. I'm sorry to hear about what you're going through; and I hope this can be a help in anyway possible. Please feel free to reply or DM if you have any questions or would like advice with taping. I can't understand what you're going through, but I am happy to help where possible. I had Double Incision with no nipple grafts, minor sculpting (fat redistribution & liposuction to masculinize the chest) & drains for that. The difference for transition is sculpting and that lymph nodes aren't touched. I hope that isn't necessary for you, but I can always be a soundboard for post op recovery questions. While different, I am also always available to talk about Chronic Illness or Chronic Pain; as I've had Chronic Pain for 17 years & been Chronically ill since birth.

Do you have any recommendations on what to do as a smaller person with a large chest in aiding with flattening them with the tape? I've been looking into tape as I have FF cups and binders are kind of uncomfortable for me. I know I wouldn't able to get completely flat but I'm hoping theres some hope in not still being perceived as feminine with the tape. I am nonbinary. Thank you ahead of time!
i was reallyyyy hoping this technique would work for me but unfortunately my chest is still about twice their size 😞 it seems there are no on-testosterone trans masc/nb folks with my chest size, so i'm having a really hard time (i am about 3 months on t so maybe my chest size/shape will change? but i'm not getting my hopes up) if anybody has more tips i would really appreciate it 🥰
i know it might not be the easiest solution and definitely not if youre young or low income, but you could claim on insurance for breast reduction instead of 'top surgery'. even if you have no pain from having a large chest, you can say that it causes back/neck pain, and usually you can get reductions for free (at least in europe) as its a health procedure, not cosmetic. or maybe you could tape with large pieces and use a chest binder aswell. either way, i really hope you can find some sort of way to relieve your dysphoria, sending you all the love :)
I find that binders work better for me. I have an abnormally massive chest with a lot of tissue and binders give me the appearance of moobs at worst, pecs at best lol. A 5x from GC2B usually does the job for me but be prepared to readjust often. Shape Shifters offers custom sizing, but they sell out fast and don't restock often. But some Etsy shops offer custom sizing as well. Best of luck!
I don't know if this sent twice my computer had a blip when I tried sending advice the first time lol. But as always, keep binding down from 6-8 hours a day, wash it a couple times a week BY HAND, and never sleep or work out with it!
No, SpiderTech and TransTape are easy to remove. Just soak in Baby Oil and remove in a shower, honestly most times it can just be peeled off. Some brands can be irritating, and the oil and shower method helps a lot!
Thanks! I'm an older & larger trans man, so I have a fair bit of "overhang", which is annoying. I've been using binders, but the overhang slips down and moves more to center in a more female appearance, which is extremely disturbing for me, especially since I "pass" almost all of the time (which I LOVE). Do you trim any chest hair for your binding? I can't WAIT to get top surgery, but I have to find out how much out-of-pocket I'll have to pay - and I don't have anyone to help me for the first few days; need to make some arrangements. Anyway, great video. Thanks to you - and your brother - for putting this out here; his questions were helpful, too.
Yes, I have had Top Surgery now but used to shave my chest before I taped; I'm fairly hairy tbh. I preferred using a Safety Razor because it's most comfortable on my sensitive skin, but use whatever is best for you! Make sure to give your skin some time to breath and make sure to exfoliate, and it's free of products (i.e. moisturizer, deodorant), etc. I'd wash my skin right before with plain unscented soap before taping.
Does anyone have any recommendations for brands that are easily available in Europe? I can ship from the US if needed, but if I need to do that on a regular basis that is gonna get more expensive then I can afford.
Ty for this!! Question, how do you do the nipple covers? Im worried because i want to try this but mine are sensitive, chap easily and i get cold a lot and it shows ....if youre comfortable, please tell me how itd affect these situations. And how you put them on safely
I use a piece of gauze of tizzue over the nipple then put KT Tape 3"x4" or whatever size works for your chests over top of it. You can also use any sensitive skin bandages that you like. It actually keeps my chest a bit warmer when wearing it and you don't see the nipples come through. It's also nice that it lasts a few days so you don't have to worry about it for a few days at a time. I find the skin under my arms gets more irritated than where I have the nipple covers. If you have sensitive or chapped skin make sure moisturize your skin between applications and if needed take a break to let your skin breath. I usually remove it at night and then moisturize a couple times, shower and shave before reapplying. I can't show it on video without it being flagged, which is why I always have nipple covers on before taping on video. I can make and 18+ video showing the application of the nipple guards but idk how it would affect my overall account.
(Sorry I know this is an old comment) I use some chapstick on the gauze or bandaid pad before putting it on, this keeps it from getting dry and itchy. Do this at your own risk (the product is made with lips in mind, not nips) and if you have any open wounds there, *definitely* disinfect the chapstick first if you've ever used it on your lips.
Hi I’m new to taping my chest, I’m a 42 DDD, I’m currently using KT athletic tape and I got it to go flat, but I still have a lot of under boob, what size tape do you recommend for first time users?
does anyone have a link to the specific size of tape they're using? I have searched everywhere and I don't think I've ever found tape that wide, it would be very helpful.
thanks so much for this vid! just wondering how supportive taping is to your chest? im a bit hesitant to try it as i am semi-active and really need a solution to hiding my boobs that isnt going to make them flap around much more than a wired bra. thanks in advance!
Do your nipples need to be protected from the tape? I'm getting my tape soon and doing some research on applying it. I wasn't planning to double cover my nipples but would it be damaging for them to get stuck to the tape?
It can sometimes cause irritation when removing. If you have sensitive skin, I'd recommend covering your nipples. You can also use bandaids depending on the size, using Transtape and gauze/a tissue is really easy and not harsh on your skin.
Soak it in baby oil for about 5 minutes,. Then jump into a warm shower. Grab soap or bossy wash and run the soap with your hands or a cloth under the edges of the tape. It'll gradually unroll easier, add more soap as needed.
If you shave and find it irritating, trim your hair instead or change us up a sensitive skin razor. I also like to give my chest a day or even just overnight between removing the tape and reapplication.
Is there a certain age you'd suggest to wear transtape? I'm 7-14 and I'm nonbinary, I have a larger chest for my age (DD) and it makes me feel super dysphoric. I want transtape instead of a binder due to my health issues, so is there a certain age you'd suggest to start wearing it? :))
If you don't leave it on too long, remove it properly (slowly and with oil), and remove it if you start to have irritation, that's the most important part. Just like with a binder, there's not specific age that you need to be to start wearing tape. So wear it as soon as it will help you feel comfortable and good about yourself.
i know it may be tempting to go at it immediately after opening the package, but please never skip the test strip with every new brand/formula you try. its much better to have irritation on a 2x2 in piece of skin on your arm or leg for a day than end up with your whole chest irritated by an unexpected reaction to the tape
Ive tried like 10 of these and i still only get down to a C or so, its so fucking frustrating to continually see that surgery really is the only option for me i guess
Gender is a playground, how you experience it and show it is entirely up to the individual. If having a flatter chest makes you happier and more comfortable, then go for it!!
@@agenderbender thank you. I tried to do what you did, each piece just barely too short, but I think my chest is too big😔 all it really did was surround it, not hold it any which way 😕
@@xanderrose162 Sorry for the late reply. You can always adjust the size of the tape. If you need more, add a couple inches. Adjust the pieces to your size chest.
@@xanderrose162 All of the tutorials I've seen recommend '4 lines' as the biggest option, but i have a large chest with firm tissue and couldn't get it to stick with that because the bulge of tissue would get in the way. i tried using '5 lines' and it works great, as well as adding a vertical '4 lines' piece along my ribs to make sure the edges stay down (since using a '5 line' piece will probably end up with it 'finishing' on your ribs - but don't ever wrap trans tape all the way around).
you can wear them for up to a week im pretty sure. thats why its so difficult to take off without proper precautions, its designed to be extremely durable and worn for long periods of time

I think I have a similar cup size to you, but the rest of me is quite bony so I fear the reshaping that tape gives won't be enough to give me the neutral, flat appearance I want. But your demonstration is very helpful and I feel like I can give it a try!
This is super helpful, got my first successful attempt following this :D
Nice thank you Chris.
this vid has been extremely helpful tysm!! can you please do a vid on the removal process?
I appreciate this tutorial so much! Just ordered myself some tape.
Thank you for all the detailed information, Chris. I have F-G cup boobs, so it’s great to see something for those of us with bigger bust.
i'm only a B size chest, but someone told me that transtape doesn't work unless you've got a teeny tiny AA/A chest. But seeing this gave me so much hope, thank you :)
@@alolan-menace I heard that quite a bit too until I saw some tutorials for larger chests. It took a bit of trial and error but this was a huge help.
I've even managed to tape a G-H cup before (I facilitate a peer support group for Trans people & sometimes do in person instructions or even first applications for folks who need help). It had similar results to binding but just required more tape.
GOOD tips! Thank you!
Thank you im gonna try it this way when i get trans tape!
thank u for posting these! its really helpful to have some tips that are catered to having a large chest :))
thanks so much bro im pre-t and 36dd.. binding hurts and im trying trans tape soon.
Thank you so much. I have been struggling trying to figure out how to tape
thank you for this! I'm about to try my first application tonight with a big chest. :]
highly appreciate you doing this
Thanks so much for the tutorial and the tip about spider tech! I'm also from Canada and I just bought my first roll of transtape (which is why I'm here looking for tips lol), and it'll be so nice to save on shipping costs.😂 Tysm❤
Thank you!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I needed this
Such a great video and you’re sound like a very sweet person
Another canadian supplier of binding tape is a brand called URBASICS, they're based in toronto. I can't speak to how good their tape is cause i'm still figuring out what works for me so i might just be applying it wrong for my shape (small frame large chest).
UrBasics also has 6 inch tape. Thanks for the info!
This is SO helpful, thank you! I'm not looking to be flat, just don't want to look fem!
Thank you so much for this! Its is really helpful 💜💜💜
Brilliant tutorial, thank you so much!
Thank you thank you thank you. I'm a natural born old woman who has huge breasts. I've battled breast cancer and now I deal with lymphedema. I'm unable to wear a bra because of the problems with my back. I can't get a boob . I've been looking for ways to compress my breasts to keep the lymphedema down. That was an excellent tutorial even though it's for a different reason. Thank you so very much for doing this. I hope life is going well for you. Be blessed
I have had a Double Mastectomy at this point, and while the procedure is slightly different than for non-transition reasons can also chat about my experience with that.
@@agenderbender Thank you so much for replying to me. I hope your recovery is a successful. I know the pain I live in. I hope you don't face the same thing. Yes I had three lymph nodes removed underneath my left arm. I thought about doing augmentations but now I'm afraid of it because of the pain I live with every day. I have found that the cold really causes a great deal of pain. Thank you for your kindness and your support. I want to return that favor to you. Be blessed
this is fantastic thank you
thank you!
thanks for sharing the brand you use. as a fellow canadian i had Transtape in the cart all ready to check out, and then saw the shipping cost make it almost double,
The price went up recently. 4" Kinesiology or KT Tape is much cheaper elsewhere online. I'm looking for a cheaper replacement.
@@agenderbender if you find a good one let me know 😊
@@haidenwerboweski659 I'm planning on buying this one off Amazon and comparing it.

Also, would I be able to reach out to you personally? I’m actually starting my transitioning journey and your energy was so welcoming!
Thank you chris
Excellent !✌️
Thank thank thank youuuuu sosososo much.
I've used what feels like half of my roll and it just looks like I'm wearing a bra :/ I've been struggling all day to put it on and it's so dysphoric for me to struggle putting it on. My chest is so large. I'll try your method and see how it goes! Thanks for posting!
Hiya Chris - thank you for being soooo caring to show us !
Spidertech no longer Carrie’s 6”. I’m in Canada too. Where’s a good place to order from now ?
Thank you !!
TransTape or from Canada, I'd double up on 4" Tape from GenderGear. I leave 0.5-1" overlap when doubling up.

UrBasics has 6 inch tape now!

Thank you for your video. Where can i buy a large tape like yours ? Thank you so much.

thank you sm for this
i was reallyyyy hoping this technique would work for me but unfortunately my chest is still about twice their size 😞 it seems there are no on-testosterone trans masc/nb folks with my chest size, so i'm having a really hard time (i am about 3 months on t so maybe my chest size/shape will change? but i'm not getting my hopes up) if anybody has more tips i would really appreciate it 🥰
i know it might not be the easiest solution and definitely not if youre young or low income, but you could claim on insurance for breast reduction instead of 'top surgery'. even if you have no pain from having a large chest, you can say that it causes back/neck pain, and usually you can get reductions for free (at least in europe) as its a health procedure, not cosmetic.
or maybe you could tape with large pieces and use a chest binder aswell.
either way, i really hope you can find some sort of way to relieve your dysphoria, sending you all the love :)
Could you shed some light about the binders that worked for you?
thank you!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for this vid, is it hard to remove?
I'd wash my skin right before with plain unscented soap before taping.
also, is that an ace ring? me too!
Yes, it's an Ace ring.
Do you have a link for where you got the tape from because I’m having trouble finding it
Canada: spidertech.com/ca/extra-wide-roll
USA:
spidertech.com/us/extra-wide-roll
I have the same bras!
Is that an ace ring that I just spotted?
Yep! I also now wear an Aro ring (White) on the left hand!
(Sorry I know this is an old comment)
I use some chapstick on the gauze or bandaid pad before putting it on, this keeps it from getting dry and itchy.
I have searched everywhere and I don't think I've ever found tape that wide, it would be very helpful.
spidertech.com/us/extra-wide-roll
thanks so much for this vid! just wondering how supportive taping is to your chest? im a bit hesitant to try it as i am semi-active and really need a solution to hiding my boobs that isnt going to make them flap around much more than a wired bra. thanks in advance!
How does your chest go with stairs and things like that? Do they bounce much. I’m looking into trans tape and want to know how it will work
No bouncing at all. There's no movement, which helps me dysphoria wise as it helps me to not think about or notice my chest.
Necesito ayuda tengo demasiado pecho como usarla por favor 😢
Where did you get tape that big?
any tips on how to take it off without it being painful or leaving the little red bumps? ive tried lots of things and nothing really works for me
Soak it in baby oil for about 5 minutes,.
Me post op watching this
Is there a certain age you'd suggest to wear transtape? I'm 7-14 and I'm nonbinary, I have a larger chest for my age (DD) and it makes me feel super dysphoric. I want transtape instead of a binder due to my health issues, so is there a certain age you'd suggest to start wearing it? :))
If you don't leave it on too long, remove it properly (slowly and with oil), and remove it if you start to have irritation, that's the most important part. Just like with a binder, there's not specific age that you need to be to start wearing tape. So wear it as soon as it will help you feel comfortable and good about yourself.
Any age can do it as long as you make sure to do it safely. If it irritates your skin or is uncomfortable, take a break or try something else.
i know it may be tempting to go at it immediately after opening the package, but please never skip the test strip with every new brand/formula you try. its much better to have irritation on a 2x2 in piece of skin on your arm or leg for a day than end up with your whole chest irritated by an unexpected reaction to the tape
Thank you. I have such big breasts that it depresses me.
Ive tried like 10 of these and i still only get down to a C or so, its so fucking frustrating to continually see that surgery really is the only option for me i guess
If you don’t mind me asking what size chest are you cause I think this might help me cause I’m getting trans tape soon
I'm a 42F.
What's the name of it again
Spidertech Tape (4" or 6" tape, I use 6" tape). Or TransTape (has 4" & 5" tape)
@@agenderbender awesome sauce! Thank You! It is a pain trying to deal with these chesticles. Anything will help. Hope your journey is going well Fam
I know anyone can buy it but do you have to be trans? I’m gay and just want a flatter looking chest to look more masculine
Nope, you don't have to be trans to use this tape at all! If you want to try it, I recommend it!
Gender is a playground, how you experience it and show it is entirely up to the individual. If having a flatter chest makes you happier and more comfortable, then go for it!!
Fカップもあれば大変ですね。肌荒れに気をつけてくださいね。
Looks painful to me
TRANS TAPE LASTS FOR DAYS????
Yep! 4-6 Days for me.
How many inches across are the first pieces?
4.5 Lines or 9"
The next ones are 3.5 to 4 Lines or 7-8"
@@agenderbender thank you.
Who’s wearing anything more than 2 days tho?
you can wear them for up to a week im pretty sure. thats why its so difficult to take off without proper precautions, its designed to be extremely durable and worn for long periods of time
DD chest me thanks you
