It's just the satin handle. Pushes up or down to open.

Should you have taken the brick moulding off?

I had no brick molding. It's a concrete foundation surrounded by a wood casement and wood trim.

The wood trim casing is called brick mould

@@diytito8165 if it was replaced it could possibly be used to cover the frame and screws of the storm?

@@diytito8165 absolutely no need to remove the brick molding. Your door would be recessed in further and the handles may even hit the inside door.
