- The interview question "What is your greatest weakness?" may be the most famous interview question out there. It presents enough challenges that people stress about it and have trouble answering it.
But, with a proper strategy, you can ace this question. In this video, I give you the three things you need to accomplish: Make it a real weakness, make it not overly problematic for the role you are applying to and show how you have learned from mistakes and are adapting to overcome the weakness.

Love the videos, Ben. Not only is your information spot-on, but I love the enthusiasm you show. In every GOOD sense, you're like a level-headed version of Dick Vitale, in terms of the true passion and knowledge you show. As for being asked my greatest weaknesses, I wonder if these are bad: I try to think of "positive negatives." Like, "I can be my own harshest critic," or "I can come down too hard on myself, at times," or "I need to remember, that I'm not going to learn everything, overnight." How about, "I get frustrated with myself too easily, sometimes."

I usually just answer "Cheesecake" and smile. NOBODY will disagree with this, unless they're not human.

Excellent advice was given for the interview techniques. Can fear of the unknown be a legitimate answer? It is because it can be a weakness of worry about what may come to you without notice, or not knowing what will come next, but it is doable to overcome the problem by preparing for it.
I don't think that's a good answer. We don't always know what is coming. So you must show that you are able to adapt and adjust

Ben, I welcome you, and anybody else, to weigh in on this "greatest weakness" answer: "I tend to err on the side of 'not making waves,' unless something is gravely wrong. I am not the most assertive, in terms of speaking up. However, because I choose not to complain too much, I find that when I DO speak up, my thoughts are usually given more credibility." Maybe, this is great, maybe it's just downright awful. I'm open to anybody's feedback.
I do think it’s important to share your thought but it’s also important to communicate in the right way.
My greatest weakness? Chocolate. Kills my diet every time.
