u are amazing! I love watching your videos. You do an awesome job. Very inspiring. You make it seems so simple and that wec an try. it Your videos inspire us to search the yarn isle of Joanns for our next project! LOL
Thank you for your videos, very well explained and easy to follow. This is the type of pattern that should be centered so that for 2 also stars with P2 K4, granted this works with flat knitting.
I love this stich! thanks for making the video. Ihave a question. I want to do this beautiful stitch in the round loom for a hat. Since the pattern is in multiple of 6, the number of pegs in the loom should be too right?
Not necessarily. Just add or subtract a knit stitch to accommodate your peg count. The only thing that matters is how you "stack" your stitches. Hope that helps if not let me know
Now? - no I've been using it for years. I use all kinds of looms but I try to stick to the inexpensive mass produced looms that you can find at your local store, Amazon or eBay. This makes the patterns accessible to most people. The large gauge help keep the amount of time invested in projects to a minimum. However some patterns require small gauge looms to look right. This stitch is one of those patterns.
That's sooo beautiful... So R1 from left to right is K4-P2 And R2 from right to to left is P2-K4. Did I understand that correctly?? And this happens to all the other rows right?? I mean we have to reverse the rows. Thank you 💕
TheJannaR Even would be easier - but you can use an add number loom.. Note that the stitch is in multiples of 6 is a loom that is say 24 0r 36 would be you complete stitch patterns - but don't sweat that you can always end with half a stitch - it's not as much of a biggy as folks make it out to be... when the item is complete you can even notice that one part has half a stitch pattern... Here is a link to the blog post for this stitch pattern - I think it will be VERY helpful !
Hi! How are you?Can you two colours on Diagonal Stitch? If so, when you can introduce the other colour? Is that after 12 rows? Thanks for your videos. They are so easy to follow.
Beautiful pattern. Could this be used for a scarf? Also, I'm a bit confused. When you say the first four rows, do you mean each set of six stitches is a row or do you mean all the way across to the last peg as 1 row?
Hi Judy this is a stitch pattern only. Projects not Stitches determine how you cast on and cast off. But there is a link in the description for a video that explains how I start my swatch for a stitch patterns.
+Mixgirl h (Mixgirl28) Yes - will be beautiful but, you must use a small gauge loom, will take a lot of time and you really need to focus - this pattern is not very forgiving when it comes to mistakes
I clearly don't understand something. I'm not new to loom knitting but I can't seem to get this stitch. I have tried about 5 times with 3 different sizes of yarn and it never looks like what you have done. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I followed you on the video and then tried just using the pattern from your website. Mine looks nothing like what you've done.
Could you please state that in your videos and what size yarn your using. It will help cut down on a lot of frustration and waisted time. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
Your written instructions for flat panels are not the same as round loom; as well as the left & right diagonals (whether flat or round) are the same directions. No difference between right or left angles. I'm bummed.
+chantal parthenais This stitch pattern is not a good place to start if you're not familiar with loom knitting. Best to start with a hat. :) .... try it - you'll like it ! Guaranteed or your money back.. just playin with you ... but really ... try it. You like what I like because we both like dots ......... denise

can this be done on a infinity loom? can 6ply yarn be also used?
Yes but only 1 rake and the lighter yarn helps show off the stitch detail much better
What size yarn do you recommend for this stitch?
Hola!!! Me encantan los puntos que enseñas! Pero no comprendo el Inglés. Habrá alguna forma de subtitular los al español??
Denise, are you casting on in multiples of 6+1? 6+2? Thank you.
Oh...just saw your response from 1 year ago to JannaR...just multiples of 6, yes?
Yes + edges. Here is the basic pattern for all my stitch patterns: www.loomahat.com/start-my-stitch-patterns/
Hi I see you;re using the KB loom now. I have the really old long loom wiht metal pins. Do you prefer this one over the other ones you had been using?

What peg count is used on the round loom....even number, or odd?

Hi! How are you?Can you two colours on Diagonal Stitch? If so, when you can introduce the other colour? Is that after 12 rows? Thanks for your videos. They are so easy to follow.
+jjfattah You can just use self stripping yarn - or Yes change it every 12 - after completing the stitch pattern
Beautiful pattern. Could this be used for a scarf? Also, I'm a bit confused. When you say the first four rows, do you mean each set of six stitches is a row or do you mean all the way across to the last peg as 1 row?
+Barbara Greer All the way across is counted as a row
Barbara Greer she means all the way around (or across)
How do you start the first row? In the video you have yarn already on the loom

Do you have a video showing how to do the Figure 8 stitch?
Adgurl Oone HI, I do not yet - but there are several - Try this search link: ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=figure+8+stitch+on+round+loom
Thank you!

Veola - what loom are you using and by the way, thick yarn will not show the stitch pattern well
24 peg Knifty Knitter loom with size 4 worsted weight yarn. I wish I could send you a picture of what I'm getting.
Yea - right yarn - wrong loom. Unfortunately, this stitch is only going to show up on a small gauge loom like this KB or a Cindwood.
Could you please state that in your videos and what size yarn your using. It will help cut down on a lot of frustration and waisted time. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
Thanks for the feedback - I'll do that
new sub here

Some stitch patterns are the same in the round and flat - others are not
ok this could be confusing..........for me new to stitching... far more complicated then plastic canvas........but very good explaining :)
