You could take a "direct" train to Leningrad, now st Petersburg, then, at least there was a trough sleeper car. Now you can't get to st Petersburg at all, and the journey from Hoek of Holland to Tallinn will take more than 2,5 days, no wonder everyone flies. By the way, ST43=class 47, same engine and power, but the locomotives were built in Romania to a design made by SLM, ABB and Sulzer from Switzerland, they run on similar bogies as the Swiss Ae6/6 electrics.
