Thank you for this extraordinary contemporary document. The great scenes and the music make everything seem like memories of a long lost world.
Thank you very much for this wonderful contemporary document and for showing it to the public. Seeing it felt like a dream to me, back to the time when I was 8 years old. I already knew Stralsund, Berlin - Lichtenberg, Berlin-Grünau at that time and everything that travelled around there because I paid attention to these things as a child. Because I had a mum who took me to the living room window on New Year's Eve, opened it at midnight and we heard all the steam locomotives from Köpenick to Wuhlheide and Rummelsburg greet the New Year with a loooong whistle. Thanks for the time, thanks for the film!
at 4.12 shed scene still looks the same in 2022 !!!! Amazing .-* Pure nostalgia live , thank you for posting !!!!
A journey in time to a country, that vanished without trace. The tranquility of it all is overwhelming. Thank you for sharing it!
A great document of old times. My childhood and youth. Overwhelming! Thank you!
This video is on the RCTS of GB official tour of the GDR in July 1967. The first organised visit by UK railway enthuasists to the GDR
Music adds a real air of poignancy to these scenes.
Brand new Taigatrommel1:22!
Thx for Sharing, i am from Spreewald and I have never seen videos of the narrow-gauge railway called the Spreewaldbahn, only photos❤
It's very rare to see footage of the GDR in this era. Remarkable how well kept everything was.
Nice to see the Br93 and unrebuilt Br52, these would be missed out by enthusiasts in the 1980s, like the variety of classes on Rügen and other narrow gauge lines.
Wow, wow, wow, what a fantastic movie! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for resisting the temptation to tinker with this historical footage. Very interesting....
Ganz ganz tolle Aufnahmen. Danke fürs bewahren.
Lovely to see the Spreewaldbahn.
Wunderschöne Bilder von Cottbus und der Spreewaldbahn.
Danke fürs Zeigen.
Danke für das hochladen dieses beeindruckenden Zeitdokuments - Gruss aus Wattenscheid
Beautiful and astounding impressions of the GDR in the late years of Walter Ulbricht. The summer of 1967 was also the time when a traumatic railway disaster happened in Langenweddingen.

Das ist aber WUNDERBAR!!! Danke fürs zeigen!!
Bezaubernd. Vielen, vielen Dank.
Fantastic! Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you for posting, a fascinating glimpse into the past. Love the every day street scenes too!
Wonderful 😊 thank you for these extraordinary impressions 🤗 Grüße from the vanished - but with same trace.... part of Deutschland
Some
Wonderful!😍
Einfach schön
Thank you! Very impressive scenes! All typical for this time.
Wunderbare Aufnahmen!!!
Quite a contrast to modern Germany and the DB.
Real amazing footages of steam locomotives in the former GDR. I think , the camera man had much luck for not been arrested. At that time it was forbidden to film Railways...😮
amazing. Please the second Part

@AWOL 11 you also took photos of the V200 001?
Ich bin 1967 geboren. Genau in diesem Staat! Dankeschön 😍👍👍
Please add to the headline: in eastern Germany(GDR)
SEHR SCHÖNE AUFNAHMEN AUS EINER LANG VERGANGENEN ZEITDORT WAR ICH OFT ALS KIND- MACHT WEHMÜTIG DANKE SEHR GRU? DAMPFLOKUDO

The title is misleading. It is not a German railway, itis a railway in east Germany 😊
Und wirklich alles auf KODAK Film festgehalten?
Das war Eisenbahn in einem passenden Umfeld. Danach ging es auch mit der DDR bergab
👍👍
