    Amazing job! The fly-by was perfect. Walk cycles are the most difficult to get right, but I think you did a great job! And I noticed the sparkly scales on his model before, but I never realized how beautiful they'd be at night :D Kind of reminds me of a Nightwing from Wings of Fire, actually.

      Oooh, Wings of Fire's dragons would be cool to give a shot at modeling with! I think I saw you did an Ice Wing before, so maybe that'll be my next study 😁
      The walk cycle was definitely the trickiest to make believably realistic/alive, especially for a quadruped, but I'm glad it and the other shots turned out well in the end! The only thing I was having a little trouble with so far was making clean movement out of the tail, so the loop isn't too obvious or stiff 🤔
      And I'm definitely obsessed with the sparkles, yup XD Echo just might make a great Night Wing!

      @@PlutoniumElysio Ooo I got a pin! :D
      I haven't actually made an Icewing, but I have done a Nightwing (not my favorite model haha) and a Rainwing (Glory, to be specific). I was going to do an Icewing, Sandwing and Seawing, too. But they're not at the top of my list right now.
      Oh yes, tails are the hardest and yet most fun to animate for me. The correct movement is difficult to get but, when you do, it's SO rewarding. It's the follow-through principle, I believe, that applies to the tail. I'm still trying to figure it out, myself.

      @Fulonimation Studios Ahh! You can tell I haven't been able to read WoF since the pandemic began 😂 Should totally refresh my memory on the dragon types when I get access to a public library again. Although, I do think a SeaWing would look gorgeous with their bioluminescent stripes, even if I currently fear to imagine how a swimming animation would go at my current skill level, haha (or maybe it's just something akin to horizontal "flying")
      As for tails, makes sense! I think the slowness of movement at the beginning/end of each loop was what kept throwing me off, especially since- as I've mentioned before- my computer is not the fastest; it would just as likely if not sooner blow up at me for rendering like yours might lol. Definitely all rewarding work when everything comes together and finally cooperates though!

      @@PlutoniumElysio Oh man, it's been a while for me too. They aren't really my favorite books, but I do like the first 5. I think the different tribes are neat, and their abilities are cool, like the Seawing Morse-code language and Sandwing tail stingers.
      If we were going to compare dragon books, I'd say the "Dragon Slippers" trilogy is at the top for me. And I haven't even read the third book XD
      Hmm, if you want to make the ending and beginning of your loop less sluggish, you could change the beginning and end Keys' interpolation mode (select them, right click and choose an interpolation mode; I would experiment with the different choices). Or you could get technical and try working with the Graph editor. I personally have not tried that....

      @Fulonimation Studios I'll have to check those books out then! And I'll give those tinkering suggestions a look-see too, thanks 😄

    I know this is a Night Fury, but the sparkly scales would make for such a cool Night Light concept. Since Light Furies have glimmering scales, would look like stars on a black dragon... Very awesome, love the animation, this is a very creative concept.

    I like your subtle camera movements at 0:37 really ties everything together! I’ll to have to remember that for my future projects XD (write that down, write that down!)

      Glad you liked it! 😄 I have a feeling camera movement will be something I can easily forget lol; but messing around more with the dynamics of it would be handy, as I keep practicing/experimenting. Cameras can really make a scene have that extra polish of immersion!

    Lovely! my only question is in the night shots the purple tail fin glow? isnt it a extension for when their original one is gone?

    • @PlutoniumElysio
      @PlutoniumElysio  3 месяца назад

      Ahh true! While the honest answer would be "Oops" cause I made the sparkles layer in a separate paint program, maybe the tail fin maker put a little glitter or something on to match the sparkly scales 😂
      Good catch though!

    • @PlutoniumElysio
      @PlutoniumElysio  2 года назад +5

      This is actually a compilation of animations that I rendered myself in Blender, rather than a game! The original dragon design is a Night Fury though, from the How to Train Your Dragon trilogy
