The roadtrip of all roadtrips. How difficult is it actually to drive a Tesla to Alaska, all the while living inside of it?

Visiting the Most Remote Town in America (Outside Alaska)
ruclips.net/video/mtAlsJPcuRo/видео.html
That takes a lot of determination to take a tesla that far… ive done the alcan before in a gas truck and that alone was nerve wrecking at times… i really do miss alaska and cant wait to go back… thanks for reminding me how beautiful that place is…
@@rudeboy1127 this place is truly underrated! Awesome you did this journey too! While this journey was remote, I drove to the Arctic Circle without a spare 😝 - Surviving the Arctic | Tesla Expedition Dempster Highway

This is great man, really hope to see more videos of your current travels ! Congratulations on making it to the Arctic Circle 🎉 almost there ! Cheers
Thanks mate! Love your videos too
Mad respect for taking this trip. You have the perfect attitude to make it work. I wish Tesla would build out the network into Alaska the next few years.
Thank you for watching and sharing! Me too, as of now, there isn't enough demand for EV's to go up there, so maybe sometime soon it might happen. Soldotna SC is powerd by Tesla Megapack!
Thanks for the update. Been waiting to hear how it’s going. Happy to see you doing well and you got through the dead zone.
Yes thank you. This trip took a lot of work, but turned out better than I thought it ever could
What a great channel watching from Australia and subscribed
@@Davida50795 cheers mate. Appreciate you being here🐻❤️
I so love your journeys. Just started to watch your videos. I hope I can do this soon as well. 😍 I love nature, and I love camping, long drives and seeing the world 😍
Thank you for sharing and watching! Safe travels! Anything travel recommendations?
Please don’t change!❤
What you're doing is awesome! Something I haven't seen in your videos is how you finance this lifestyle, a video with cost breakdowns would be interesting to see.
Best of luck in Alaska!
Thank you! For sure in the future a video will come out! I did make a finance video with my M3 - ruclips.net/video/YJZQv6BMyO8/видео.html
Brave and awesome are you! I can't imagine doing this myself but the experience in seeing so many things can't be beat. Thanks for sharing this adventure with us, Sandro. :)
Thanks for watching! The most scenic drive I have done by far!
fantastic trip man, keep it going!
Thank you!
AmaIng bro. Glad you made it
Great vid. Enjoy! Looks awesome
thank you!
Okay I watched. I don’t understand the charger but I’ll be looking into it
Thank you for watching. What particularly about the charging, CCS?
Amazing Sandro!☺️
Thank you! 😃
$84 dollars on a 2,174 mile trip, yea if you are in america you have to use the correct conversion, you probably spend way more travel 2,174 miles in a gas power car. i am retired, i also travel all america, never been to canada, i hope you liked it.
Its awesome to travel so cheap honestly! Happy retirement :)
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Really have been looking forward to this update. And I can tell it's more than I could ever expect. To hear about how you manage the charging and getting yourself around in that vast country is amazing. Than the best parts. The stunning views, the animals and the wonderful people you meet. Can't wait for your next report from "out of nowhere". Drive safely and stay away from those big animals liking to take a bite of you. And finally I'm about joining the Tesla family. Put in an order on the new Model 3 Highland last week.. Estimated delivery November - December.
Awesome! That’s exciting! Who’s referral did you use? Haha😉
@@EverydaySandro unfortunately it wasn’t possible to use any referral code for ordering the Highland. I tried both American and European codes but none of them worked. So unfortunately I couldn’t be a good sport giving you any points
@@mrexcet that’s interesting! Thank you for considering me though!
@@EverydaySandro my pleasure 🤩
amazing travel so far, stay safe..
Thank you!
Nice video! I am missing an introduction in your Model X' setup (all the stuff in your trunk) 😉
Thank you! A lot has changed too since my initial build! Might do a new update!
Awesome video!
Thank you! What’s something you enjoyed the most about it?
Had a little chuckle to myself when you said your car is called Beluga. I have a midnight grey Model Y which I've named Orca :-) . Anyway, thanks for the video. I want to make the trip from Washington to Alaska and was wondering if it was possible. (I actually live in Colorado and also just waiting for my green card - any day now).
SICK! Cute nickname! Do the drive, so worth the views
Banger!
Should have joined me!
Very useful information.. how many times did you need to use CCS charger?
Thank you for watching. Total of 9 times, some 50 Kw and 25 Kw public chargers, and Ofcourse level 2!
That’s an impressive road trip without the peace of mind that the Tesla Supercharger network gives. I’m glad that I get to watch you do the because I wouldn’t. 😆 I can’t wait for your next video
It was sweet drive for sure! Forgot to mention that I even drove 45mph in a 65mph to be as sufficient as possible! Thanks for watching!
Congratulations Sandro! Keep up the courage and remember your inspiration ✨🙌
@@mimistone2309 will do! Thank you!
Which campground was that with the hot springs across the street?
Thats Liard Hotsprings Lodge. They were the only RV site open late September. There camping spots close after first snow fall but you can pay for charging to use their engine block heaters
Love it!
Thank you!
Just watched this video. Could you comment a bit more about the overland tires you used? Do you think they were necessary? I saw that you used the same tires on the trip to the Arctic Ocean. How did these tires affect your range?
Yes, the wheels I have are the T-Sportline Adventure & Overlanding Package (Available for MY & MX) 19” inch rims and on Falken All-Terrains. All-Terrains have thicker side walls, meaning less chance of puncturing and can be deflated for off-road trips to increase surface area. Already put almost 30K miles on them, rotate and balance them regularly. Cannot recommend them enough! On range overall - 5% loss or so, but nothing significant! For the Alcan, highly recommended and for the Dempster Highway is a must because no all season tires will survive!

@@EverydaySandro Helpful! Am definitely thinking about getting a set before cross country trip. (Don’t tell my wife… you are inspiring me to drive the Alaska Highway.) Are all four of your tires/wheels the same size? Currently my rear tires that came on my Model X are wider than the front. I didn’t know it is alright to change that. ??
@@mmerwin2294 yes it’s fine with this wheel set. They aren’t staggered like OEM that comes with the car, no issue. Just makes sure to rotate them regularly! I won’t tell!
Shoot me a DM on insta if you have more questions
Are you able to get by with just Tesla chargers and show chargers as you sleep or do you use a CCS adapter occasionally?
More often I use level 2, j1172 adapter. I only supercharge when I have a long road-trips. CCS is a great backup to have and there is free CCS charging to be found in some cities. CCS made this trip possible in a 10 day span! Thanks for watching!
@@EverydaySandro I didn't know that there were free CCS chargers. I'll try to time a low battery with when I want to sleep so I can change at slow free chargers. Hopefully I won't anger people if I'm full before I wake up.
Bro, try adding “everything, but the bagel” seasoning on avocado toast with the chili flakes. :D
I usually do but ran out while driving up and everything 30% more expensive in AK so couldn’t afford it😉
Would this work in a standard range model Y?
Potentially. Just drive slow and have great music haha
Wow actually some dirt on baluga
Not dirty enough :/
very cool
Stressful for sure! But thanks for watching
where is the hot spring
Hot springs - Liard River Hot Springs in BC
@@EverydaySandro thanks i figured it out, i too have a tesla m3 but i think it would be easier for me to use my camry then sell it in alaska. just a thought.
@@talkswithhandswhisper744 are you planning to drive up North?
