Correction: The Snowmobiles are used year-round by the First Nations, not just seasonally!
    Adapter needed: NEMA 5-20/14-30 & TT-30.
Justin & Rafa donated Wall Connectors now (48Amps) so you can make the trip in a more efficient timeline - PlugShare App

Watch out with the tt-30, make sure it’s EV rated most won’t work due to the same ground fault you experienced with the 110v outlet.

I saw another guy in a PLAID take a Honda 2200 Generator with him and charge at night while he slept in his car. Food for thought.

Your video made my heart so happy. I recently lost my dad as well. My deepest condolences on your loss.
As an old man of 55 who has less life in front of me than behind, it gives me great hope that a young man would strike out on his own to have an adventure. I see so many young, unmarried people with no real obligations who are afraid to do something like this. Your journey was a quest that you succeed in. I hope you have many more to come. Go see amazing and even ordinary things! Live life to the fullest! I know I'm just some random commenter on RUclips and this may not mean much but I'm going to type it anyway; I'm very proud of you. LOL with how expensive these cars are youd never catch me taking my Model 3 out there, let alone a Model X. Thanks for giving me inspiration, its on my bucket list to make this journey one day. Ill have to make the drive from southern Ontario. I've never seen the Ocean either, so I really do hope I'd manage this journey well and get there without hiccups. Heart touching story, I might consider taking my dad there with me (assuming whatever vehicle i take has enough space for us both).
Actually if I ever stumble on the money I plan to make this journey in a camper van. My biggest fear is breaking down on the side of the road though.
For food, did you carry it with you or did you stop at diners along the way for most of it?

Great video, great fun, or so. it seems. I understand why you did not take an internal combustion generator, but I would have expected you to take about 1 kW worth of solar panels, so electronics, external power banks, &c., could be simultaneously charged while your EV was charging from the grid. Did you do that and just not tell us? I was very interested in your clearing the ground fault by piping the electrons through one of your power banks. Will you tell us exactly what sort of power banks you had, including model numbers? I might have more adapters than you, but I have not driven to the Arctic Ocean. Did you use a dashboard holder for the videos while driving, or did your companion serve as a steadicam?

Hitting the undercarriage on a porthole/rock risks potential battery damage, possible shut down. I suggest you only use "very low" ride height on good paved roads.
I know, because I worked at Tesla service remanufacturing, saw the inside guts, results of many road damaged batteries.
The low height is to get optimum aerodynamic efficiency at higher speeds.
Your low speed on those gravel roads, aerodynamic of the vehicle body design was good enough.
Your first charging fault might have been an outlet without proper grounding, or inconsistent quality line voltage/amperage. Especially because you stated their power was from a generator, which sometimes is not as stable as a grid service.
Now you now know, add a few more power cable adapters to the frunk before the next eoad trip.
What tires made that expedition? Without a flat or rim damage? Nice.
Future, maybe Tesla adds a few supercharger stations with Megapack support.

    • @EverydaySandro

Hey Clark! Thanks for this thorough response, as you are so right! The generator are a life-line in Eagle Plains, but grounding was definitely an issue.
