I completely agree with your statement about gameplay. That is why I had so much fun with Gotham Knights even though everyone dumped on that game, I spent many hours just running around busting up thugs and having a blast. I just downloaded the demo to ROTR and I'm really getting into the combat, plus the deluxe edition just went on sale too, so perfect timing.
I was hyped for this one to be honest even more than Dragon's Dogma 2 (They came out nearly the same day) since I am a massive Nioh fan. However, it being a PS5 exclusive quickly killed the hype for me.
@theghoulshow no, Ninja Gaiden isn't a genre, it was part of the character action genre, but Rise of the Ronin is a semi open world action RPG with some light soulslike elements, but it's part of the action RPG genre, just like most soulslikes, they are mostly just 3rd person action RPGs with a certain set of mechanics, it actually has nothing to do with difficulty
@@mathewhosier9739 no soulslike elements in the game. soulslike is used a tag to attract players. stop washing out the genre comparing games just because you lose progress after death. thats been a thing before souls ever existed. FromSoft revamped the difficulty that was present in the 90s and gained a town of popularity with DarkSouls by doing so
Bruh don’t worry people think they know art , they dont know how to shut up in their heads enough actually learn later on in life lol Yes you lot that shyt on the graphics are lacking imagination fluidity.
@@Kayjay-pNative lol that’s your opinion. When I made that comment in the vid I meant how people hated the story in the game and gave it a 0/10. Gameplay and graphics alone bump it higher than that. The point is to show that people have ignorant biases. Like with this game I saw 4/10 and lower because of graphics. Meanwhile gameplay etc makes this game better than that. That was the point of that comment. The fact that it’s rare for anything to be that low unless u ignore everything else these things offer
@@Kayjay-pNative lol yessir sorry. I think it def had its pacing issues and some other problems. Wonder how that’ll correlate in the tv show. Heard they are gonna milk it 3 season for part 2
I mean the last of us 1 and 2, all the uncharted games, and Ghost of Tsushima were all exclusive games up until they got released on pc and being exclusive didn’t kill them at all.
Their console is $500 one of the most affordable entries to gaming at the moment. If you can afford a bloated PC you can afford a PS5 and an exclusive. Rōnin is fun as hell
@@MrChocolateReviews Combat wise, yeah you're right. But the big selling point of this game opposed to previous games from Team Ninja is that it's open world, right? Every single thing about the world by design is Assassin Creed, literally everything. Have you played any of the last 3 big AC games?
@@Mmachine88 yep every one. Idk maybe because it doesn’t feel like a slog like those games. I felt like if something was on a map it was at least decent to look at meanwhile the newer ac games seems to just have busy work to grind levels etc
@@MrChocolateReviews well, I'll certainly agree with you and say there is for sure a chunk of content in AC games , especially now adays that does feel like filler (a slog, as you said) but do you really genuinely feel like everything in Ronin, in terms of the world and things to do in it are better than AC ? I respect your view and opinion of the game! A lot of what I played of the game and heard from folks who enjoy both games/ genres and IP, seem to have the opinion that Ronin feeling like a "check-box open world, with TeamNinjas combat more or less" and what I've seen from many is also mention how Rise of The Ronins open world is probably the worst part of the game (whether they enjoyed the game or like the open worldness, that part of the game still seemed to be the least best thing about it, if that makes sense) .
@@Mmachine88yeah I definitely agree that’s why one of my complaints was the story etc because the side stories are decent but not decent enough for me to do a lot of them but atp I think it’s all open world games and fatigue. honestly, the demo is what sold it for me purchasing it very soon lmao
I did the same and do not regret it
I really wanna play it I am just waiting for a price drop :)

Understandable. Hopefully it’ll come to other platforms in the future
aight, i'll play it
I have Elding ring and sekiro to finish. I'll wait for a great sale on this
This is not a souls-like. This is a Ninja Gaiden game.

I'm returning my Dragons Dogma 2 and getting this instead. DD2 is boring rn. I'll wait for DLC and updates
The graphics are insane.
Insanely MID

TLOU2 story was really good 9/10. Most of y’all are just kids don’t have much substance to your opinions yet.
Sadly, Sony loves to make things exclusive thus basically killing their games.

That’s fine. You should always have a PlayStation honestly that’s all u need the game on

We already have Assassins Creed at home. This is a worse AC game in every way
Not really. I guess open world wise yeah but combat not really and that was the highlight for me
