Thank you for the straightforward lectures regarding the vital elements in the fundamentals of nursing. I use to listen to you and Miss Cathy’s videos while doing chores and repeat it over again in preparation to any of my ATI/HESI assessment. It helps and it works! Sharing your study tips and experiences enhance better understanding of the topic. Again, thank you and more power!
Yes!!! I love incorporating listening to videos into chores. It really really helps expose you to the material over and over again. I’m so glad we could help you! -Meris
For a moment I thought my eyes were going bad😂. So much look a like though. I am already a BSN but I still watch Cathy parkes videos for reference. Good job.
All of your videos have been very helpful in my proctored ATI exams. I enjoy listening to you instead of reading my book. You break it down very nicely and you explain it so that I am able to remember and apply it when I take the exams! Thank you!
I start nursing school in August, I've purchased the dosage calculation workbook and the ultimate nursing school bundle. I feel more than prepared for whats to come. Thank you.
Great video !! Finally understand seizure precautions. Always here implement seizure precautions but the details of what that consist of is never provided till now
Hi, you should not brush denture with toothpaste because most toothpastes can be abrasive when brushed directly onto dentures. Instead, be sure to use a denture cleanser or water when they are out of your mouth to effectively clean them.
Meris, I really appreciate you inclusive language in this video. I am a trans and non binary nursing student, just starting my first semester. I am constantly overwhelmed with gendered language that I do not feel is necessarily medically accurate . Gender and reproductive anatomy are used interchangeably often when there really should not be. When you referred to giving someone a bedbath with a 'Vulva", it was very refreshing. The anatomy is what I need to know in this case, to care for the individual, not the perceived gender. This video made me feel seen as a trans nursing student. Thanks
Oh my gosh, this brought tears to my eyes. I'm also a member of the LGBT+ community, and I know how unbelievably important it is to use inclusive language and avoid gendered language whenever possible. It means so much to me to make you feel seen. Please know that in the maternity series I do my best to use genderless language as well, and it is a HUGE part of the culture of our company to be advocates for diversity, equity, and inclusivity. Thank you so, so much for this comment. I can't wait for you to join the nursing profession! --Meris
@Level Up RN I appreciate all your efforts towards inclusion. I am excited to tell you that I got permission to put pronoun stickers on my name badge for my first clinical rotation, which starts in 3 weeks. I got that idea from another video of yours.
You said something about not putting anything on a patient who has seizure, and I have seen some of them bit their tongue during their ictal period. What do we do then in such scenarios?
Yes, we never want to put anything in the mouth of a patient who is seizing. If they should bite their tongues, we would want to suction the airway as possible, position the patient as best as we can to prevent aspiration (left lateral recumbent after the seizure ends), and the tongue may require repair with suture afterwards. Hope that helps! -Meris
Thank you so much for the respect to transgender patients not calling people with a vulva women. This is much appreciated as a friend to several transgender men.
Absolutely! LGBT+ inclusive care is so important and a huge passion of mine and the entire nurse squad here at Level Up RN. Thank you for your kind comment! --Meris :)

Yes it does, thank you ☺️
Hello what temperature of water is used
Tepid water. Hot water can warp the dentures.
you are amazing
Thank you!
Where do we buy cards?
At LevelUpRN.com! 👍
RNs, you can make beds, empty bed pans etc. too. It is all patient care. You are not too educated to do those tasks.
💯
