Hello @RegisteredNurseRN! I am currently a fulltime Medical Assistant student this Fall semester. I started the MA program a week ago and I am so happy to learn about everything. Yesterday in my Clinical lab skills class, we learned how to take Vital Signs. Everything went great! I only had a hard time when I had to listen for the Apical Pulse on my classmate. Her heart was very faint and I got the numbers wrong a few times. This is something that I really need to practice on at home because it's not always easy to listen. I just like to say thank you for making this video. I found it very informative and helpful. :) I can't wait to start practicing my clinical skills at home.

Personally, as a PCT in nursing school, I’ve saved so many nurses licenses. The lack of communication is insane. They expect you to just know everything, we have to read the patients chart ourselves. I asked one nurse if their patient was a blood sugar. Nurse said she didn’t get report about it 😒. I read the patients chart and saw they were hypoglycemic, checked the patients sugar anyway, the BG was 17! Went straight to the CN bc clearly the nurse was too busy watching Netflix to care about the patient. I’m tired of saving licenses that don’t belong to me.
