- This is by far the best priced Direct Drive simracing wheel ever existed ! SimuCube , Fanatec and VRS have awesome wheels but non of them can get even close to what we get from the Simagic Alpha Mini in combination with GT1 for the money ! If they keep that price this can be the bestseller and more people can join the track with high quality force feed back !
Without any quality sacrifices on the build with only Aluminium and carbon materials !
10NM may sound not much but even coming from 25nm SimuCube wheel I was super happy with the fidelity and the clean force feed back which was absolutely enough to feel everything I need !
This bundle is incredible choice for all those who do not want to spend over 2k for the high end wheel bases !

I have a Alpha non mini after my csl dd was delayed so I cancelled all I can say is thanks to fanatec for not shipping products in time. The Alpha is amazing
I’ve tested the CSL briefly and I was happy with the performance but For little extra bugs this is much better choice in my opinion! Obviously if someone want to go on full budget DD the CSL DD and McLaren GT3 wheel will be super happy!

The Simucube 2 Sport is roughly the same price as their Alpha isn't it? And its 17Nm. I think you would be better off with that, although the Alpha is also decent.
@@willielast the sport is £200 more i was looking at it and the mini but the was no minis in stock so I got a good deal with a wheel on the Alpha

And what you think guys about VRS wheelbase? I cant decide between aplha mini and VRS.. VRS have 10nm more…and price is not much different.

@DiogoChannels Hey, sorry, I just saw this. So the Simagic was great. I never had any issues with it, and it worked well across all the sims I played on. But I did end up selling it and going with the Fanatec DD2. Mostly because I have Fanatec pedals and shifter, and just prefer one system for updates and software.

Moved to this base with both GT4 and GT1 wheels from TXSW. Extremely happy with the purchase. Very smooth and precise and the wheels are of a very high quality, the QR system is just amazing too. fell in live after the first few minutes playing ACC and AMS 2 with it

Your videos are awesome as always, when it comes to having visuals and a storyline. I just got my Simagic Alpha Mini with the round GT-1 wheel moving up from a G29 and I couldnt be happier. Its such a high quality product. Theres no cut corners I can find. The wheel feels phenomenal. Its everything I could have hoped for. The buttons feel really nice and the shifters have the most satisfying feeling ever. And honestly the 10Nm is sufficient for 99.9% of people. Personally dont see myself ever needing more as I dont even need to run it on max FFB to feel really solid and smooth and still have great details. If anyones thinking about buying it, I can thoroughly recommend it too.
I wasn’t sure what 10nm really means on track as I use usually high torque and always had 20 nm + bases and after testing this with relatively big diameter wheel “320” I was surprised how much that really is ! For all my endurance races I used exactly those torques I was getting from the Alpha Mini 🤭 I was curious about the software which surprised me too ! This wheel is smooth like butter without sacrificing any speed !
I hope those guys keep those prices and they will be first choice for the most of the Simracing community in few years 😃
@@chepilevski Absolutely agree. Sure theres always stronger bases but I think this is like comparing supercars and hypercars. Both insane performance and im sure the even better bases might could have a slight edge, but even "just" having the supercar of direct drive, feels well suited for me. :) If their other products keep the price strategy and this level of quality, I see myself upgrading the rest of my gear to their ecosystem too. Those simagic pedals that are releasing also look very interesting and cant wait for you, Berry, Laurance, Boosted Media and the like to review them. Really great stuff.

if you by a CSL DD, with 180block for 8nm torque. And also a beautiful wheel with quickrelease and good shiftes. Fanatec also comes close to 1000 euro. 500 + wheel + maybe shifters. So i think this can be a good option for some people
All those must be absolutely personal preferences and Fanatec did great job with the CSL DD ! For those who are already in the Fanatec ecosystem will be much cheaper to just take the base !
The good part is we already have so many choices 😃💪

10 Nm is MUCH stronger than most non-DD wheels. So, it is clear the magnitude of force is sufficient. THE main thing is fidelity. And if what many people say is true, Simagic works REALLY well...

I went with the CSL DD + McLaren Wheel. I was driving with a T300 for years and I was waiting for a budget DD. I couldn't wait anymore. I'm really impressed about the new feeling of the car, I'm in heaven with that combo, but only for not being part of a closed ecosystem, if this video was on YT few months ago, the alpha mini would be a no brainer.
But well, with the price difference I bought a DC Simracing CNC Pedals... not bad.
Again, thank you for your videos, when I lose faith in simracing I come here to renew it. Thx man!

Some iracer developer tested the torque of the mini and it was 13nm not the stated 10nm. That's bonus

I actually went from the DD1 to the Simagic alpha mini and do not regret it one bit! Half the price of the dd1 and I got it pretty to close to the same feeling. Super stocked as I didn't loose money when I sold my dd1 lol.

My pc is on the way, I got the sokani rgb and box and just got my go pro 10 today. Trying to up the content thanks to you for showing me the way. I can't tell you how much proper lighting effects not only video but as you said matching race conditions. I was gonna record last night but I just got lost. I bought the Simagic M10 back in April I think... same price also 10NM slightly bigger package. I love it. I don't think I can ever go back to belt drive. Great review! Now I need to save up for that shifter :) I hope they send you a set of their pedals to review.

I do a lot of work with arduinos and stuff it makes me happy I will actually get to use those skills once I get rid of my wooden cockpit that hurts my knees and back. Personally I am thinking either getting the fanatec podium DD, the carbon fiber blue one, or just skipping and going right to getting a simcube. It might be cheaper for me in the long run to just jump right to getting a simcube instead of upgrading from fanatec after a few years.
Your skills will be very useful for sure and I can only imagine what crazy stuff you can create with the arduinos !
It will be great if you be patient any wait to take the best you can instead of replacing and upgrading! I do this mistake all the time and I have no idea how much money have been thrown trough the window !

Just checked and UK price for pre order is around £890…not much more than the csl dd with power pack and mclaren v2 wheel. This product looks better built in my opinion👍

Great video Steliyan :) I love how you capture the passion. It's exactly what I felt when using the product. I had low low expectations but the alpha mini blew me away and I would happily use it forever. I do think that the GT1 button box can be improved and hopefully we will see a new version of the steering wheel in the future. That said, it's still a great steering wheel for the price. the GT4 rim is GREAT though and also worth testing out. Thanks for sharing your adventures

for 1.049,00 euro price point yea i'm agree that SimuCube is great choice, i would take it too. But fanatec csl DD even with boost kit and cheepest wrc wheel is still only 700 which is much cheaper, and i hope to believe will also give great force feedback.
Oh , definitely CSL DD is great option with the WRC and the McLaren gt3!

At 5:22 you say that you love high torques for maximum understanding of the cars and I give you 100% right.
I always use 15 Nm for Fanatec Podium DD2, can use higher but for longer races it’s just ideal.
BUT I came across many simracers who claim that LOWER TORQUE is better for feeling and understanding the car. I tried 6 Nm, 10 Nm but find it too low, so for me it didn’t worked.
It’s personal taste imo. With higher torque I can correct my slides better and sooner because I feel it immediately.
So I join your club: The High Torque Club 😂👍🏁
Absolutely agree with you , my reaction are much quicker with more torque! Only for the RX cars I use low torques because going from gravel to tarmac the wheel kicks like crazy 🤭

I still really love the accuforce v2 especially for the price. The included Sim Commander software is so powerful and the ability to tune the wheel is endless.
All direct drive wheels are awesome and the differences are very small in use case scenario!
Accuforce software is most detailed one indeed!
Thanks for this vid. I already went with the Accuforce DD. But I love your channel and how you motivate me in sim racing. But if you can afford it, DD is the way to go. And this is a really good bundle price.
After testing many different DD wheels I have to say , the differences in actual feeling is insignificant and the only differences I start to see is how can we take something for more affordable price and how we can get more for the money! Ones we join the DD heaven nothing really matters 😁

I love my SImagic M10 1st. Gen. I have been meaning to do a video on it as I think even with the new version its still very good. I just picked up the button box for it and I use an NRG wheel with it. I have to reach our to Darin over at Simotion.

@@chepilevski Yeah to be honest I only want to try to the version because of the different motor. The stepper motor does have a tiny bit of notch but to try the new one to see if the feel is different would be cool.
Word of advice set your settings to around 100 for all the Game menu stuff and Wheel settings will be lower as well to help with feel.
the feeling when even this is too expensive... i am not poor per se, but other irl commitments don't leave me with much money on the side...one can only dream. until then tm 300 it is

I’m in the market for a DD at the moment and I’ve so far narrowed it down to 2: R9 + GS wheel. Here in Australia the R9 base is $699 and GS $799. The second option is the Simagic Mini + GT4 rim. The Simagic base on sale here is $1000 and the GT4 rim is $850. $1500 Vs $1850. I did think about the cheaper GT rim like you have in the video but I want open style and I need dual clutch.

Honestly they are very even in quality and feeling man !
It is up to personal preference from esthetic point of view and the difference for you there is too big so that must be taken in count too!
Just choose which ecosystem you prefer the most from esthetic choice and you won’t go wrong ether way 🤛

I like the Moza GS wheel and the Simagic mini base haha I’m leaning towards Moza as it’s $350 cheaper here and I much prefer the GS rim and either option will be a stepping stone for my end game base anyway - Simucube 2, VRS type level. May as well put that $350 to the next upgrade!
So how do you think this compares to the CSL DD? A CSL DD with the 8nm PSU and a McLaren wheel for 700€ or the Simagic alpha mini bundled for 1100€?
What do you think are the differences between them in performance and quality? Is it worth the price step up?
Also wondering about the wheels a bit when it comes to the Simagic... I only drive ACC at the moment and I really like the style of the Mclaren wheel. Is a round wheel significantly worse for GT racing? The GT4 wheel looks a little lackluster.
I can’t talk much about the performance difference as I have very limited experience with the Fanatec CSL DD on the expo and I liked the feeling a lot !
I personally believe 20% difference in torque must be noticeable but I have to test that on my rig!
From material quality I would say the jump difference in price is well worth as the McLaren is plastic and the quick release for that price will be plastic too and in the Simagic combo you will get only premium materials with little les buttons of course!
The round wheel you can replace later with cut 300mm wheel for 100-150$ flat rim and you will have GT3 stile rim or you can directly go for the GT4 rim from Simagic!
I personally believe both opinions are very good and very well priced and will be up to you how much you can afford to spend!

Hello, I am between these two combinations and need your opinion / votes :)
a) Simagic Alpha Mini (10Nm) + GT1 Wheel + P2000-R Pedals = $1800 (approx)
b) Moza R9 (9Nm) + GS GT Wheel + CRP Pedals = $1500 (approx)
c) Logitech Pro Racing Wheel (11Nm) + Pro Loadcell Pedals = $1500 (approx) + ready PS5 compatibility with GT7 support for more arcade racing...
For the cockpit, I am thinking to buy the Trak Racer TR8 Pro which is around $650. Or the more fancy Alpine TRX $1300
If you have other suggestions, please post them.

I have budget = but I am a believer in not overspending. This is my first DD setup but I do not want to buy something wrong and after few months to realize is not good enough.
Also, I am 43yrs, a casual racer-mostly weekends. My son is 13yrs and we both want to have great time racing :) If needed I can go for a stronger Nm wheelbase...

The best setup of all 3 choices is the Simagic particularly with those Pedals which are way better then the others but as we can see that will cost more !
You will enjoy all 3 setups for sure and the torque from all choices is absolutely enough and will be perfect for you kid too !

After using the csl dd 8nm I'm currently waiting on the Alpha 15nm with gt1 wheel can't wait to see the difference. Everyone says how much better it is so I have high expectations

@christophersmith8028 absolutely love it its a massive upgrade from the csl dd. The wheels are high end the QR is amazing best of all is the price. When the software gets better it will be just as good as Simucube. Not that it's bad bit still on beta. I'm hoping we can get a similar cloud system for FFB files as the Simucube one people can upload their settings and you can try anything. You can still do that but it's more of a download xml from the Google. Other thing is the power on off switch on the cable for me I just unplug from the base as I don't want to dig down the rig if they made a power button on the base or make an add on for the base would be great. All in all for me it's 95% there for half the price as Simucube. I suggest getting a package like I did making the wheel half price from buying separately. I got the Alpha with leather gt1 rim for 1400$ all in. I since bought their GTC wheel GT4 carbon and for rally I'm using a Sabelt 90mm deepdish with Simcore wired RD22 rally plate and simagic QR. More than enough power since it gets around 19 peak stable 15nm but I run it about half that. What DD you running now?
I'm was wondering how easy will it be to setup the FFB coming from a csl DD? I have the Alpha 15nm coming this month, and there isn't much info on the software and the info out there is before the updated version. I heard the stock files are pretty good and need just a bit of tuning to get it right per user but I remember the Csl DD being such a pain to get right because so many posting their FFB settings and this was more confusing than useful 😆

The crazy think is that in the Rig Tour I found out that you are from Germany. That‘s pretty nice because of your accent I thought, okay, he might be Italian or something like this. What are your roots and for how long are you in Germany?
By the way, really appreciate your Rig and all the stuff. One of my biggest dreams is to effort such an amazing sim racing setup like yours but I think this would become a long way…

I like your content, but you can not draw such a conclusion without thorougly testing the current cheapest direct drive wheel on the market (Fanatec CSL DD). The Simagic Alpha mini with GT1 rim costs in EU 1039 eur, the Fanatec CSL DD with the new Clubsport steering wheel RS (320mm, metal QR, magnetic shifters) bundle costs 480+300=780 eur. That is still a difference of 259 eur! Please make a thoroug comparison between those two direct drive bundles and then state why you should pay 259 eur more for the Simagic.
Lots of people like to buy more rims for their wheelbase, but a Simagic steering wheel costs more than a Fanatec CSL DD with boost kit.

For me was just obvious why this is the best deal from quality point of view!
I still love the CSL as an option and always suggest it to people who really want to safe money!
I own the McLaren GT 3 wheel and even got two of those but but is still plastic!
The quick release is plastic too and the base have 2nm less power!
I don’t want to compare orange with apples and I still believe both options are very good for the price !
It will always be about personal decision how much people are willing to spend and I honestly believe no one on the market can get even close for what quality we get for the money from Simagic !
As I’ve said before, I have been in the situation to try and make something cheap to look and feel quality and I’m so excited we have this product now on the market!
Hope you understand my logic and why I didn’t compare those two wheels !
