      5 seconds wasn’t enough for that. Should have been a stop and go. Also his radio message was disgraceful. Kimi should wait because Max drove off the circuit? He’s such a twat

    • @Excludos
      @Excludos 5 лет назад +19

      +Gopr311 Yes, he should have waited. It's not that fucking easy to control a car coming off of the grass. Verstappen did his best to leave space but simply couldn't. If he hadn't rejoined the track then, he would have been at the back of the pack. Kimi could have waited half a second to see where Verstappen's car was headed and gone the other way, instead he tried to push on the outside without knowing.
      Don't get me wrong, it's still Verstappens fault, but it wasn't malicious and Kimi could have helped avoiding the incident. Therefore a 5 second penalty is plenty.

    • @MrLolx2u
      @MrLolx2u 5 лет назад +10

      He wasn't at fault though. Both party was wrong. He may sound like a prick asking Kimi to wait but Kimi himself acknowledges that it was partly his fault for being too eager which caused him to mount Verstappen's RB. Both sides were wrong in technical sense but because it was Max that caused the accident, Max got the penalty, which is fair.

      MinigunGaming Well maybe that is due to ferrari. Kimi has had many retirements because of ferrari and has had the role of a speed bumb for mercedes by ferrari not allowing Kimi to pit. Ferrari is so focused on their golden boy, they've stopped giving a fuck about Kimi. Put Kimi on the 1st driver spot and the championship will be much closer.

    • @jamesshunt5123
      @jamesshunt5123 5 лет назад +4

      It's simply a matter of a contract. Vettel already has one which means he is set to stay at Ferrari until 2020 - and I have a feeling Ferrari regrets that now. Vettel signed this three year contract in August 2017 and back then he was leading the 2017 championship by 14 points and looked as if he would be 2017 champion. Turns out he lost the 2017 title. Now he has all but lost the 2018 title too and mostly through his own errors.
      Ferrari can't fire Vettel because he has a contract until 2020. Kimi didn't have a contract for 2019 so he simply had to be sacrificed to let the new guy Leclerc drive for the team. Had Vettel not had a contract for 2019 then I believe he'd have to go too or they'd keep Kimi as a mentor to Leclerc.
      Here's why I wouldn't want to be Vettel the next two years. Ferrari probably are disillusioned by him by now and will probably give Leclerc the blessing to race him freely. Should Leclerc come out on top then Vettel will find himself in experiencing the same support role Raikkonen has for the last seasons at Ferrari.

    • @yewisemountaingoat528
      @yewisemountaingoat528 5 лет назад +2

      True, they did terminate Kimi Raikkonen's contract for 2010 and paid him as if he was still driving for them. They also fired Prost before the 1991 season was over, this is one of the reasons for his 1992 sabbatical since all good seats were already taken. Vettel will really be under pressure for 2019 because if he keeps making mistakes they won't just let that pass. They'll focus on Leclerc, providing he's any good, and try to muscle Vettel out.
      It's also quite possible Vettel has a performance related contracted claiming he can break the contract at will should the car turn out to be bad. Right now he hasn't had that excuse for two straight seasons.

      So disappointing...Ferrari had the advantage for the majority of the season, but so many mistakes one after another, race after race, both strategic errors from the team, and driver errors that do not befit a 4-times world champion. I think after this year, Ferrari's managementi will have serious doubt about Vettel's ability. There was already a speck of suspicion about that when Marchionne was alive, that's why he lined up Leclerc for Kimi's seat, so I don't think Vettel would automatically get the No.1 status.
