My 6 year old nephew is loving your channel. We watch 1 episode a night on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He’s having a camp out in his back yard tomorrow and asked his papa to make him some of the hot dogs like girl in the woods. Lol. And he also wants you to know he thinks you’re so funny. Thanks for the great posts!
Just discovered the channel and enjoying the 28-day challenge! I'm always on the lookout for good food ideas. The people I camp with mostly (Boy Scouts) have two objectives: 1) something ... anything, and 2) as fast as possible - don't waste time cooking. To me the beauty of the 28-day challenge is taking time. Thanks for the boost.
Yes!! Brooke, i have tried your pigs in a blanket concoction over a fire a few times now since learning about it from you.. Yes!! We will be eating this in Heaven!! Lord Jesus, will you please pass me some more biscuit dough... Lol!!
Hahaha of course we'll be eating good in heaven.... the Lord knows we love food! He ate food with the disciples after he appeared to them after his resurrection. Pigs in a blanket in heaven... guaranteed!
Now that I’m an old man, I really appreciate you taking the time to make these videos. I was doing this stuff 50 years ago. Good to see some things do not change.
Hey Brook, the fire and hotdog and coffee all look great! I recently took up the ancient hobby of pipe smoking and having a nice pipe while staring at the flames in quiet contemplation sounds absolutely fab to me too! Thanks for posting and best wishes.
Well you caught me,as I was watching the super Bowl lol,but awesome fire 3,food looked delicious and of course the coffee always smells so good, and as for the rain and fog,you took it all away by making fire 3 lol👍😆...
Excellent girl. Congratulations on video and adventure. This beautiful place, full of snow, makes you want to be camping. Greetings from southern Brazil.
Oh, my! Back when I'd get home from a Boy Scout camp out, the scent of the campfire on all my gear was SO strong! Great memories. And the poetry fits. I'd like to finish life knowing I made the most of it, eh? Thanks for sharing :) God Bless
Oh YUM!! Haha! No better way to forget about your troubles, than to stare into a fire. I have enjoyed every fire with you so far. Looking forward to tomorrow’s!
I had a women tell me in the store that I smelled amazing when I walked by her...I said it was smoke from my fire...LOL!!! That is my only source of heat in my cabin. I'm so use to it :)
You got me with that comment "I love the smell of my clothes when I've been around a campfire". I know that! I used to hide a few of my clothes after camping for 3 weeks every summer with my family as a child, just so I could smell them. That pig in a blanket done over fire, wow. Yum. I could taste it from here, and almost 2 years later!
I took your challenge yesterday. Had the dog with me, who promptly let me know she wasn't interested. Lit it up without her and had a bit of fun. Thanks Brooke.
Ah yes, yet another trip to the oasis of bushcraft in the midst of the Mishegas that is the modern world! . Yet another cool, and FUN vid put out by that Whipple girl , Brooke!! Ah yes, wilderness settings, and yummy food! And an occasional refreshing from books of poetry ; Brooke Whipple vids ...are...the..BOMB!! Cool beans. P.s. Haha, I love that doggie! Mazie pup.
My fire today was getting the furnace lit! Hahaha hope to have a real fire ! I too have a belching collie! Shes a black and white 3 year old border collie named Piper
My Dad had a solid white border collie named Winnie for 12 years. He still has her as his background on his smart phone. He says she is the app manager lol i thought that was nice
You and Mazy are beautiful together. Sorry if I spelled her name wrong. I just love how you interact with her. So loving🙏 My Gracie Elizabeth was hit by a car 2 years ago. We did everything together. We were even homeless together. She was the best friend I ever had. Thank you for your videos Brook, They really help me💙You Rock Praise JESUS✝️
I'm looking forward to camping out of my Van again. I do go in winter with a electric heater, but I prefer Summer for camping more than any other time. Fire looks great:)
Hello Brooke. Amazing video again. I find it very beautiful to sit outside next to a fireplace and smell the wood. Your food looks delicious. Super Bowl is a big deal in America, isn't it? Like football in Europe🍀
I just watched your day 2 and 3 videos back to back. Thanks for explaining how you check the wood for moisture. I have gotten my share of strange looks doing this, but it works. I'll show my wife how you made that sausage wrap. I think she will want to try that next time we do a campfire. Thanks.
Sure, I do agree, camp fires are very therapeutic,,, i will try this weekend, no matter, I will be out again soon, to much job commitment at the moment,,, so yes, candles will have to do, cheers.
Hey Brooke good video I really enjoyed it thank you for it and I love the smell of wood burning and I love that cowgirl hat you have on there and I never heard a dog burp that was funny
Love your Fire A Day series! I am watching them backward! Lol any who ... this reminded me of the camp out with one of your friends where you had the Johnsonville jalapeños cheddar hot dogs wrapped in the Crescent Dough and wrapped them up over the fire. I ran out and tried those and they were fantastic! I’m a dipper and ketchup dips put them over the top. Thanks for all you do for us!
Looked sooo good. Tried pigs in a blanket tonight in Hawaii (71 degrees) and the dough melted off the hotdogs. Ended up baking them in the house in our oven. Think the weather has to be, at the warmest, 65 degrees for the dough to stick to the hotdogs.
Brooke, I appreciate your incredible skill in the snowy winter, but have you ever tried survival in summer in South Florida. That takes a whole nuther breed of animule.
I'll take a campfire over any ballgame any day! I too love the smell of a campfire. The dogs & I went for a car camp last night & we & the car all smell like the campfire & I love it!
Hello Brooke, happy day #3 of the of the campfire challenge. Also, use a lighter for the campfire challenge. You did well Brooke, you got the fire started and the food cooked before the Super bowl. Take care, be safe and have fun. 🤗
As a retired vet I do not watch pro ball anymore that is why I am watching beauty and the beast teasing me holding that sausage up to the camera. Thank you Brooke for sharing see you tomorrow.
Hi Brook Watching day 3 of your Fire Challenge and Its my Birthday,Hope to hear Happy Birthday to Looker and giving you a slice of my Birthday Cake . Hugs Love you
Hey Brooke Love your energy, I gotta get it in my head I don’t need someone else to go along . I have a wood burner in my house ,does that count. Lol Naa Craig. Pa Guy. I’m out
Good video Brooke a good fire really soothes the soul I don’t watch NFL no more I don’t watch college football no more they made their choices I made mine
Nothing like talking sports to get people ‘fired up’ about one thing or another. We had the same kind of weather up here in the U.P. today and we got out and found a bunch of chaga. So I had a ‘super bowl’ of chaga tea with honey.
Yeah yummy food made on a camp 🔥 awesome
Daisy gives her compliments to the chef. Burrrrrrrrp!

Biscuit dough and a beef sausage over the coals of a wood fire! What could be better than that on a Super Bowl Sunday?
