Thanks again for sharing "The Flames", Prayer, Pancakes, Poems, Pooch and Personality. Love your videos. Will miss seeing you every day when it's all done. Thanks also for the "first bite". Continued Blessings on you and your family. :)
Omg. Those look amazing. I have all of the ingredients to make this... Except your homemade syrup. You have been killing these videos. Is it weird that I have come to love the sound of your coffee dripping into your coffee mug? I don't even drink coffee!
Dear Girl in the Woods, I must admit that today an excellent cooking lesson is hidden in the video. I will certainly treasure it in my next outing. Hello from Italy . . .
Hi there Brooke you certainly live for the moment and it’s great to watch you enjoy everything, so good to watch you and Maisie together having some outdoor fun, Take care Love from Scotland.XX🏴💕
Yummy, yum, yum...gimme, gimme, gimme! Roarsum breakfast. Thanks for this series. God bless you with many, many more yummy outdoors breakfasts. Gary in New Zealand
Oh my.....the maple syrup😋 Another great video Brooke and of course the other star Maysie(sp)? Thanks again for doing these videos for all of us to enjoy!!!!
So nice. Beautiful snowy scenery in the forest and of course the breakfast of weenies and the corn pancakes with home-made Maple Syrup. Wow, sounds yummy! Thanks for bringing us along on your fun adventures! I appreciate all you do!
oh i had this problem a couple weeks ago i wish i had just a little bit of pancake mix and it would have been solved. now i have both on hand and if one starts to get low its a national emergency and off to the store i go. thank Brooke and thanks Mike for bringing up this recipe.
Those "Corn Cakes" look really good! I'm going to try adding both corn meal and creamed corn to the cornbread/pancake mixes. Yum! Maybe butter 'n local honey to top it off ... great idea, Brooke :) Thanks for sharing ... God Bless
Interesting idea on the pancakes, Brooke. I might have to try that one sometime. Thanks for all of your effort and your hard work in putting together these videos. You always do a great job!
Hi Brooke, Hope you are doing well! This past 2 years and a bit, I have been having difficulty just trying to be... one day I happened to discover you on YT and started watching you more and more. You are so down to earth and unasummingly humble, I realized that life is not as hard as we make it in our own minds, thank you for that! I would just like to thank you for being there for me. I love your prayers and I thank you for them too! And your poems! You have given me hope and a sense of me feeling better about myself more and more everyday. Mentally and physicaliy (sorry wrong spelling there, ha ha) May God Bless you and your family as you open up your life stories to us on your journey. I feel like I know part of you, the kind and caring person that you are. Thank you, Love and Blessings, Liz Gray, Ottawa, Canada
Brooke. Thanks I've gained 15 pounds getting hungry watching you having fun cooking Ur yummy meals outside. I know U getting happy in the woods. I do enjoy all your videos especially your spirit. Please keep em commin.
Nice video as always. I usually add 2 or 3 types of grains to pancake mix to increase fibre content and make it more healthy. A few frozen blueberries or strawberries improves the taste......best pancakes in town at my house :)
That looked yummy! I made an oyster omelette this morning with celery, onions, garlic and green peppers. I ate it but I don't think I'll make it again. I love oysters and wasn't bad but once was enough :) Maybe I'll try some of these pancakes tomorrow. Thanks for sharing!!
I love oysters too, but an oyster omelet is a little out there. Glad to hear the review though. Oyster stew on a rainy day, yes. Lots of pepper. I like corn as much as Brooke does. I was raised on corn. Sometimes I can do creamed corn and sometimes I can't. Canned veggies are funny; I love canned asparagus(althought, I like campfire better), I can tolerate green beens and of course corn. But, canned peas, no way(we had big dinner time fights). If a case washed up on the desert island, I'd push them back out.
Love to watch your video, praying before eating, your sweet dog, your fire making, your cooking, even smell your delicious coffee😋..... Be Safe🙏 My mother always made corn fritters on Friday way back in the 1950’s! 😋😋
Hello Brooke, it's good to see you and Maysie out and about. Corn pancakes, I will have to give that a try at home before I try it on the trail. It looks good in your skillet. Take care, have fun and get happy.
"Smells like the fair". I cherish the smell and the wonderful Midwestern county fairs. We don't have fairs like that in my neck of the woods anymore. Spent summers in NW Ohio as a child. Yah.. the smell of those fairs and fair food!
Just two more days of daily fires to go! Its been a journey.... While I was watching the quiet part at the beginning of this video, I was reflecting back over my February. It's been an interesting month. There's been many good things, a few bad, and also some very sad. There definitely have been a lot of things that have happened during this shortest month of the year! Thanks for being inspiring, and thanks for putting in the big effort of pull this daily fire video project off! I know that it was a big time and effort commitment!
This one really messed us up. I watched it, loved it, and now I am starving. I am starving and I want to go for a hike...but it is one O'Clock in the am. You are such a motivator.
Oh how I love your videos. So comforting. Beautiful to create a perfect campfire in snow. I’m making the corn pancakes right now - for lunch! Yum! That looked awesome! Much love from Arizona! ❤
Loved the video and music and Da woof. Those pancakes looked mighty awesome👍🏻👏🏻that syrup is exactly the way I like it. Nice and dark and strong maple taste!
thanks Lonnie! Mmmmm. Hey, if you take a Jiffy corn bread mix and add a can of creamed corn to it, and add a 1/4 more sugar, you have the BEST cornbread muffins you'll ever taste! Try it!
Thanks, Brooke for the interesting videos. Mazie is a sweet, pretty Collie. You are a joy to watch and your enthusiasm for life is refreshing. It is a blessing to hear you thank the Lord for life's blessings. Corn fritters is one of my favorites.
Beautiful fire. Beautiful fragrance. Beautiful Coffee. We think & ACT alike. Beautiful Snow on the PINES. Enjoy Ur Pancakes. Makin' me So hungry. I like cornmeal mixed in w Lil oatmeal..Some Flour.. Take it from there.
corn cakes,,yum........xx.........tv cooking show on camping outdoor foods,,,be a big hit yogi,,,lol, move over rachea ray..lol,,bless you brookey...........
I make corn fritters. It's Bisquick and regular corn. I think the recipe came from Bisquick. You make it kinda thick because your dropping tablespoon into a pot of hot grease. Like deep frying the corn fritter balls. I've always eaten them with maple syrup, it's so good!. Thanks for reminding me of them. My kids are grown adults with their families and I live alone now so I don't cook a lot anymore. You've got me thinking it's time to heat up the skillets again and cook little things I like. Your giving me good ideas of small meals just for me. Thank You! ☺♥️
Saw this at breakfast time. I’m skipping breakfasts as part of a fasting program. So you’re killing me. Gonna make these for lunch sometime with my grandson, Noah. He’s four. He has a brand new little sister named...Maisy! So glad your videos are kid friendly, too.
We have pancakes made with Pamelas mix a couple times a week. The 3 pups know those days and wait for one cut up and shared when we finish ours. Love that cornbread made in a cast iron pan in the oven. Real maple syrup only kind!
well they looked delish, especially with the maple syrup. they would be nice to make them savoury too like fried mushrooms onions etc on top. loving these ideas.. yeah its 2021 now but still great info.. 👍💜✨🙏
So much work for you...so much pleasure for us. Ever made potato pancakes? Good with syrup or sour cream. Could be a sweet thing or opposite. Weirdly good. Very ethnic. My grandmother used to make them. These videos have made this February much more bearable. Thank you!
My amazon affiliate store for the grate and the coffee filter, my etsy store for the fire starter. (not the ferro rod but fire starter). Links in description!
Love the Woof’s lime green booties🌝🌝! I am tasting this yummy breakfast with you. Well, today as I started the yard clean up for spring I made small piles of varied sizes of twigs and small branches to use for at least one or two quick fires. Thanks to you. Not really supposed to burn in town, but the ground is damp and with bricks around it maybe just 15 minutes will make me feel like I am in the mountains again. So glad you weathered the storm (bad pun). Are the schools still closed? Stay safe and happy.
I am glad you tried out the Skillet Corn Bread. Instead of putting in cream corn, try adding a lot of finely chopped onions and make onion patties. Taste like onion rings but easier to make.
mmmmm thanks mike! It was you- I couldn't remember your last name in the moment! But yeah, that one sounds good too! Thanks so much for the recipe idea!
There is nothing like the peace and quiet found in nature.
Thanks again for sharing "The Flames", Prayer, Pancakes, Poems, Pooch and Personality. Love your videos. Will miss seeing you every day when it's all done. Thanks also for the "first bite". Continued Blessings on you and your family. :)
I love the muted sounds of the forest when it is covered in snow. So peaceful. I am going to miss the daily fire challenges!
It's so nice to see a campfire starting from scratch. A cold patch of snow becoming something beautiful, useful and comforting.
It's the sound of a beautiful woman spreading her wings and taking flight May the peace of Christ be with you
Omg. Those look amazing. I have all of the ingredients to make this... Except your homemade syrup. You have been killing these videos. Is it weird that I have come to love the sound of your coffee dripping into your coffee mug? I don't even drink coffee!
love that sound!
Dear Girl in the Woods, I must admit that today an excellent cooking lesson is hidden in the video. I will certainly treasure it in my next outing. Hello from Italy . . .
its always nice to see, a few sparks..smoke...a little breakable flame....growing up...to a small dancing flame....up to a warming and strong fire....
