28 Day Fire Challenge!
Whew! Busy couple of days with all the new snow! Loving it! This is probably one of my favorite breakfasts to cook, because it does take a little finesse. And to enjoy an omelette over a campfire on a cold snowy winter day.... SO AWESOME! So join me on this day 13 campfire cookout, or go out and have a campfire of your own and cook some good vittles! Maysie Daisy sure liked the omelette too!

I agree with you completely about Mary Oliver’s lovely poem being perfect to sum up in a few words the feel of your 28 days of February camp fires. “The snow began slowly.....let the fire now put on its red hat and sing to us” with a big smile I say thank you again. I just love your videos so much, your campsites, debris shelters & awesome canvas tents, YOU! and Mazie Daisy! ♥️

I been snow camping in Yosemite National Park before for a weekend in the past, plus a couple other times in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. On one time my son a a couple of his friends built a snow shelter, they had learned to do it in the Order of The Arrow, a group within Boy Scouts, they built shelves in the enter walls to sleep on, it was very warm and nice sleeping in there they said. We always did the Boy Scout Council sled races to each winter. I love sitting around a fire when it's snowing ❣️🌲🏞️

Hell yeah! Ticked a lot of the boxes with this one Brooke. Never even thought about doing omelets over the fire, good one! Love making them and eating them as well. Any day is a great day to get out and get happy. Started getting my sister out on Saturday mornings and showing her ways to start fires, checkin for fatwood, pointing out mushrooms or ramps, anything that's out there and she's enjoying it all. Thanks for the videos and I hope they motivate others to get out there.

That red, and black striped parka, mit the Nanuk of the North fur cap that hole outfit is the BOMB! That bacon, homefries, cheddar , pepper, onion , and mushroom omelet made with those piece de resistance: fresh free range eggies all topped mit red hot sauce ..is..the 100 megaton BOMBAY! ...And Da Woof got half of it! She spoiled! No,it's all good I love Maisie daisy! ...

Wow that smelled great. I have done it before on the fire but not when it was snowing. next time take your coffee filter and put the grounds in and staple shut, then when your water is heating you throw in the coffee/filter and heat together. When it is heated just pour into your mug. It's like a larger tea bag and you just fish it out and burn on the fire. I just bought a house in the Ozarks that is backed by a state forest so now I can do the same challenges. Keep rocking girl, love it.

OMG that omelet , when you sauteed the onions, mushrooms, and peppers my appetite alarm went of. And then a drink of hot coffee in the cold outdoors, it's to much, I am having sensory overload. LoL Keep up the fires contemplation is good for the soul. Liked the Old Chinese Poet. so simple but says so much.
i know this was a huge undertaking for you, as you have said many times, and you'll probably never attempt anything like it again, BUT...I am glad you did! These 28 day videos are relaxing to me even more so than your other vids! love watching them and I'm glad we have the "record" of the 28 days. :)
I have enjoyed every fire episode you filmed during your 28 day challenge. Great food you cooked on your fire....you get awesome snowy winters where you live, REAL winter. I grew up in Seattle and hoped for snow every winter but it never stayed long.....now Im on the Oregon Coast. Love your beautiful dog and those forests.....

The only amazing things I saw in this video is Mazie & you. Mazie is so neat & you have the best attitude of anyone I have ever seen in person, in a movie or a video. You are one of a kind & your son has some of your uniqueness & he is becoming his own self because you encourage him to do what makes him become himself. Yesterday my son, my 2 puppies & myself got outside & went to Gramby & Estespark, CO to try & find a moose or bear to no avail. I did get to see a hawk, elk & deer. I was out on Trail ridge road & shot pictures of the sunset which was amazing. Like you I enjoy being outside. Keep enjoying your life!!!!!

I think you need to write a book on breakfast on a fire. Call it “The Grub Pit” 😁
I just recently bought 32 ounces of powdered Cayenne pepper, and more than half of it's gone! When I order pizza, I like to make sure my mushroom topping is fresh, and not canned; and that determines if I'll get another pizza from said pizzeria. However, most of the places round here serve jarred hot peppers. I cook my own sliced jalapenos in olive oil at the highest temp possible in my oven ; whilst waiting for my pizza delivery , and then I top it myself! So, I do love hot! But in regard to hot sauce? I like it sometimes in soups, and even salad dressings, sometimes. But I always love it with my chili con carne, (or without meat!)
A sauteed bell pepper, onion, mushroom , Canadian bacon, hash brown , cheddar cheese , campfire Farmer's omelet on a freezing cold day washing it all down with piping hot coffee! Whaaat!? Talk about good! ......Cool beans.
