I love all your videos, Brooke Whipple 💕 💗 ❤ 💖 I have done a lot of sleeping under the 🌟, in cold wet tents, no tent just on the ground , alone with my two young children and our dog Snoopy watching over us as we slept. These times were the happiest times!!!
Yum and double yum! So glad when you pray over your food. Always so touched by how loving, thoughtful , and kind you and your hubby are to the animals. Loved hearing the little bird. And poems. Mmmm. Verbal music. Yes...... less news.....more outside and some gentle fires. Thanks, Brooke.
I'm always blessed to hear you say grace over your food. Ham & cheese over toast that's been soaked in butter is my favorite breakfast sandwich too. Loved that poem, best one I've heard yet. God's love & blessings to you. Bill in Fla.
I drove out to a nearby trail with my dog. it's the Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin. I was going to do the fire challenge for today, but turned out under all that snow was nothing but ice. My dog jumps out of the car and goes down on all fours. He could barely stand up. I had micro spikes on and it was even slippery for me. He tried and tried to move around and I tried to get him to the trail, but to no avail. I put him back in the car and walk down the trail a bit to see how it was and it was solid ice all the way. So I called it a day and took him home. I'll have to give it another try next week with just myself maybe. Lots more snow in the forecast for this week so will see how it goes. Love you fire challenge and your attitude. I like the poetry too!.
We did it!! We had our first fire on our DIY cat stove. I boiled water in my tiny pot for coffee (french press), tea for my travel mug and fried eggs and sausage in my tiny fry pan. Because of the ice storm we are having here in souther Ontario, I made my fire at home in my kitchen. Good to always try your equipment out for the first time at home...learned a lot the first time through. Love the poetry you are adding to your fires each day. Thx for the encouragement to start a fire, cause its hard waiting for spring to get out
This is a fun series...what a good idea...love campfires...really good breakfast ideas, for when I go camping and love the poetry!!! I’ll have to take my Solo stove out on the patio and make myself a nice breakfast and coffee this weekend!!!
Congratulations on your fur hat Brooke, I couldn't believe it when you said you had made it yourself. It is brilliant! There has to be a ready market for handmade fur hats like yours! My youngest daughter, aged 16, is trying to be a vegan so it wouldn't do for her though, she has to have fake fur. When you were reading today's poem I thought that you should be a teacher for elementary school children with your love of nature, poetry and pure heart they would be inspired and remember you all their lives like an outdoor Miss Jean Brodie! Thank you for posting and best wishes.
The breakfast ham, egg, cheese muffin looked darn good. You sure aren't afraid of that hot sauce either. It's encouraging to see you(and some other youtubers as well) giving thanks to our Lord in your videos. Good luck tomorrow. I'm getting the snowblower all gassed up and ready.
Sweet ham steak , and an egg over medium, all cooked in butter, on a butter browned English muffin with melted cheddar cheese, and hot sauce?...Whaaat!? Talk about good! Another most excellent adventure with Girl in the Woods, and DA Woof! Cool beans. P.s. Yeah, you could walk into that vision like poem, and see mama bear getting stung up whilst lapping up all that golden honey; only to stagger away; falling like a drunkard into a honey suckle filled meadow. Mary Oliver is/was the bomb. (She definitely wrote well,) cool man .
Hey Brooke, Callie in the house! I'm so grateful to you because through all your videos I've learned to start a fire and I specially have noticed that you used birch bark most of the time. you've also taught me how to make a fire with other things as well like a cotton ball and a Swatch of alcohol pad. I'm so grateful to you I even bought as a gift for my daughter and son-in-laws birthday a ferro rod and striker set that's unique. I also bought you a very cool ferro rod, which I can't wait to send you! But I'm waiting for other things that I ordered as well. Might take a while. but anyhow I just wanted to tell you how super cool it is to have learned these things when I had no idea how to start a fire in the first place other than use pure matches. But now I know you could use a ferro rod and a striker or the other side of your knife to start a fire. Anyway I wanted to express my gratitude to you for that! Thanks Brooke! 👍😁 OMG... That breakfast sandwich looks delicious!! And I just had a hamburger that my daddy cooked for me before I went to work. It's 12:36 am California time. My daddy's a good cook too!👍 Callie from Apple Valley California 🍎
@@therealgirlinthewoods Aww ... Lol yeah dad is! Thanks Brooke! 🙂👍 PS I sent you more still pictures of you and Maizie from your episodes of Girl in the woods on your Instagram. That 11th day breakfast was the best with ketchup. Your videos are so enjoyable. Safe journey home🔥🤗🇨🇦. Still looking forward to the rest of February fire chats...
So peaceful looking. I can imagine myself sitting there looking at the trees, listening to the birds and just enjoying the silence and beauty. Well, I did something I've never done before. I put hot sauce on my scrambled eggs. All because of you. And guess what? I liked it! I thought why haven't I ever tried this before? Thank you. Now I'm wondering what else I can put hot sauce on to give it that extra zing. The ham looks delicious. Can't wait to see what you cook up next.
Hello Brooke, happy day #11 dear. I turned off the depressing political news. All of our politicians NEED to get out in the woods and get happy. It is a real treat to see your video today. What an awesome breakfast, yummy. You take care out there, be safe and don't forget to have fun. 🤗
I love your fire challenge and cooking the food on the fire!! You are such an inspiration for me! I'm 48 years old ,and I've never gotten into poetry, but I'm willing to give it a try since I heard poems that don't rhyme. I love how the poet paints a picture of whatever she is describing in my mind. So cool!! Oh, also, I'd love to see the fire more so I could stare into it! LOL!! I can't really make a fire right now, but I'd love to enjoy the campfires you make. Can you make a video of a campfire for us to meditate with. Thank you for being you!! You're awesome and quirky... like me.
awesome video and what a delicious breakfast, thats one of my favs too. snowing good here right now when its all said and done we could be looking at 6 to 10 inches and as it is ending the winds are to pick up to 30 to 40 mph. what a great day for a fire.
It was so good Texas toast with butter and garlic with fried spam and egg with hot sauce on it yummy never had that before I loved it thank Brooke for your repice
