I wish I could forget the story and play through it again. God it was so magical.. it’s like nothing I’ve ever seen before. So glad they’re making a sequel.. love this game.
Weirdly enough, this theme didn't leave a mark on me when I played through the game. But now, a few months after I beat it, man the chills down my spine. So beautiful and nostalgic, I couldn't put a name in the mood that this theme expresses... The joy to be alive, the remembrance of a past that is no longer?
It's probably because it's a score and not really a 'theme'. Themes usually have a melodic element to them that is catchy. It captures the cinematic nature of what BOTW is.
I adore Tears of the Kingdom with my soul. But it’s main theme will never be able to top this. The BoTW main theme will forever touch me harder than any other Zelda main theme.
I remember when botw first came out, i was really struggling mentally, but I Got myself a switch and this game and it really helped me get through it All. I really wish i could play this absolute masterpiece of a game again for the first time.
Botw is such a beautiful game with so many amazing things that you can do and see. Until a yiga clan brute shows up and tries to kill you and while you were dodging another yiga clan member comes in and decides to shoot you with a bow and arrow. Then while all that is happening, a bunch of skeleton lizards show up and keeps screwing up your dodges with the yiga clan brute. 10/10 game
came back to this theme now that tears of the kingdom's has been revealed, and it's crazy how complementary they are while having a completely different vibe. this one feels like contemplating nature, the new one feels like an epic battle
Botw is showing the resilience of nature and Hyrule. You failed to save everyone in the Calamity, and all you're left with are the ruins of the kingdom, but even then, all tribes prevailed. In totk however, you already saved hyrule and zelda, and the kingdom is being rebuilt. But now ganondorf came back and changed everything with the upheaval, so it's time to rally everyone and stop him once and for all
Four years later. I graduated high school. I’m working a good job. I almost didn’t make it, there were so many times I wanted to give up, but simple enjoyments like this game kept me going. It’s never been about the end, it’s about the journey. Making it day by day, taking small moments to appreciate the finer details. Im only 18, so there’s much more to learn as I continue through this strange life, but things like this game will always stick with me :)
I'm crying. I dont think people understand how much this game means to me. I've been playing it for about three years now, and I've beaten it many times. It is the game that reintroduced me to zelda, and it helped me through a lot. Whenever I'm having a bad day, I just sit down and play this game and get lost in its world. I would do anything to experience this masterpiece all over again. The nostalgia I have for it now is crazy, and thinking what it will be like in the future it unimaginable.
Luis Aleman I can say the same thing, BotW is the first serious Zelda game I played (the others are Minish Cap and Triforce Heroes but I didn't took many time for those) and, as a Super Mario fan, I can say that BotW is way better than Oddysey
there's actually a vid of the Princess Mononoke trailer that had this as the sound and I have to say, the pacing on both the vid and the music are uncanny
Words cannot describe what this game does to me. It was the first time since I was a small child that I went into a game blind, having no idea what to expect, with no clue what to do. Feeling my way through it and understanding the beautiful world it encapsulated was absolutely magical.
The decision to use a completely new theme as opposed to the classic Zelda theme really sets BotW apart from the other games thematically. This isn’t about the ultimate conflict between Link and Ganon, this game is about the eternal and enduring Hyrule. BotW’s Hyrule is a vast, beautiful, broken land. To reflect this, her theme is melancholy and noble in its own soft way.
Also this is so far ahead in the zelda timeline it might aswell be the end of it. So far in the future literally all 3 timelines converged by sheer chance. Not done yet with TOTK, but I feel like we are gonna see demise again and finish his curse once and for all, ending the cycle of incarnations forever and letting hyrule move on without the main trio
This song gives me chills. I remember hearing it for the first time. It represented a lot to me. Not only was the open world game about to be reinvented, but this was the comeback of Zelda, the comeback of Nintendo, and ushering into a new era of videos games. And one of the best video games of all time. A true GOAT moment.
Literally when I first got the game, I had to take a moment to prepare myself for what was coming. I’ve never been so amazed by any game. Sadly my family was watching and they got mad at me for taking so long
this theme makes me tear up every time i hear it… there’s just something so magical about it. i would give anything to go back in time and play this game for the first time.
The theme is so simple yet so many different themes you go to an A theme then a B and so on. Reflects the game so well, a simple idea but so many parts.
This song fully encapsulates the emotions you feel when playing this game! Simple that turns into something more complex, a bit more fun, enjoyment, then it gets more epic, then it starts to turn sad, it ramps up, then the climax hits and bam! It’s so sad, fun, energetic, hopeful all at the same time! This was my first Zelda game ever, and I already feel so nolstagic for this game and this song.
I remember when I got this game for my 21st birthday from my grandma. She and my grandpa bought it for me, and it was my first ever Zelda game. It took me an entire year from start to finish, I remember looking out onto Hyrule and hearing this beautiful song, and about a year later on my 22nd birthday, I spent it with my grandparents, aunt and uncle, cousins, and my dad. Me and my grandma share the same birthday, so I spent 4 days with everyone for our special day. I brought my Switch and since I finished both the ENTIRE game and the DLC before the final fight with Ganon, I gathered everyone together to watch me save Hyrule. I fought both Ganon and Dark Beast Ganon with great applause at the end, and it's something I'll never forget. Now for the emotional part... Little did I know, just a few short weeks later after Christmas 2020, my grandparents were in the hospital with Covid. My grandpa made it through... But my grandma passed away in the first week in January... Every time I play Breath of the Wild, I think of my grandma and how she bought this game for me... I'm grateful for everything she's done for me in my 22 years on this planet with me... And I know I'll see her again one day. At least she got to see me finish the game she bought for me...
@@hoppipolla0 Oh she was... The last words she said to me was, "I love you bubba", I'll never forget her, and I know we'll see each other again one day
I don't care whatchu people say 1:06 will forever give me EXTREMMEE nostalgia. like when i completed botw the first time it was playing all the champions themes and town themes and stuff I just sat and looked at my roof with sadness because the game was already over.. then that part started playing and BOOOOM a freaking train hit me and I started crying like damn I've never been that emotional before..
0:23 when that soft somber sound comes through a tear come to my eyes and it's at that moment I realize why Zelda is my most beloved series in all of gaming truly great how a small part of a composition can bring back all memories of my memories of this franchise in one single instance.
At first I was never really in to the Zelda series, in fact, I had never heard of this series. Then in 2017 I got a Nintendo and botw came with it. 2 years later I beat the game for the first time and now I’m obbsessed with it, probably the best game I’ve ever played.
Man, 7 whole years, huh? Time sure went by fast. I'll never forget this game for being one of the first games i played on my switch, right next to splatoon 2 and mario Odyssey.
non botw players will never understand that feeling of running out of that shrine for the first time... looking at the vast landscape listening to beautiful music... I dont remember when I got the game exactly but it was late 2017-early 2018. only about 4-5 years of playing this game and its already nostalgic.
Totk is literally botw with more and better features that improved on botw's weak sides(mostly) While it's quite a far from and absolutely perfect, it is much better than botw. Some people have the same opinion as you, because you are judging it based on nostalgia, and the fact that you've already played Botw, and after years of its existance, you will obviously be more critical of Totk and newer games in this series. I've played around 200 hours of each games, and i prefer Totk, and i'm not basing it off opinion, like i said, there are lots of things that would make it better, but it doesnt change the fact that its got much better content that makes it superior to botw.
I just love how Breath of the Wild's theme symbolizes both discovery and bonding while Tears of the Kingdom harkens back to something more progressive, like a hero's triumph over something greater.
Easily Game of the Year for me. Nay, Game of the Decade! There's rarely been a game out there that boasts not only beautiful environments or gorgeous music, but also rich with personality, brilliant characters and just so much good content in it to shake a Korok Leaf at! There's been a couple of hyped up releases, but none that gets me so excited or satisfied than playing Breath of the Wild.
I wouldnt say game of the decade cuz we got another zelda coming in about 4 years, so it is possible to be better than breath of the wild, and i really hope thats the case. Can u imagine a game better than botw? I cant but nintendo always surprises me

Not just a sequel.... THE SEQUEL 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Did you enjoy the sequel? I loved it tbh
What i love about this song is that if you dont listen to even a single second, it sounds unfinished.
What?
Dinojengi ja Kumi-Kalle_139 he’s saying the song has to be listened in its entirety because it’s perfection
@Jhonney your not just wrong your stupid
Finally the song was ripped and not just the trailer put behind a picture.
Nintendo Nation That was the best thing available before this.
Xoreign Besides the trailer itself
Weirdly enough, this theme didn't leave a mark on me when I played through the game.
But now, a few months after I beat it, man the chills down my spine.
So beautiful and nostalgic, I couldn't put a name in the mood that this theme expresses...
The joy to be alive, the remembrance of a past that is no longer?
Exactly how I feel! First time I played it I didnt think much of the music, but listening to it now gives me chills.
could not have been more on the nose.
It's probably because it's a score and not really a 'theme'. Themes usually have a melodic element to them that is catchy. It captures the cinematic nature of what BOTW is.
Who's ready to hear the botw 2 theme?
I bet it's going to be an epic re-orcestra with CHOIR!
Can’t wait to hear it, couldn’t be too long
It's probably going to be a bombastic remake of the of main theme.
Maybe it would sound like tp or ss themes
MEEEEEEE
This song makes the real world sound boring
Hyrule would probably feel more like home to me than the real world. Goddamn it Nintendo you've done it again.
@@meking1808 yea i feel the same, i think Its the amount of pressure this modern world put on you
But in hyrule i feel like i have no pressure
Petition to get rid of boring jobs, mediocre schools and politics in exchange to have the world be like breath of the wild.
@@lewis9s we will live in a post apocalyptic world soon enough. Dont worry.
JamesB00n Scary but true...
I adore Tears of the Kingdom with my soul. But it’s main theme will never be able to top this. The BoTW main theme will forever touch me harder than any other Zelda main theme.
Same, this theme is just legendary
Fair. Along with TP this is my favorite one
I still can't decide if Tears of the Kingdom is better than Breath of the Wild because of my bias towards Breath of the Wild 😅

As beautiful as this piece is, 1:06 through the end is just so fucking good. Gives me chills, hyped up and tears.

This song hits different after watching the new tears of the kingdom trailer.
Yeah but imo the totk is way better
Yep came here for the same reason🤣
@Nibras somehow yes, it's so epic
@@nabroosi nah dawg imo botw theme is better than totk but still both are fire
@@doomslayer8985 lmfao yeah botw has that notstalgic and epic feel that gives me goosepumps even after so long
that last minute tho. had me in a trance. was so moved
1:21 is so stunning to me. I feel so many emotions in that part of the song in particular. The beginning is also amazing, of course.
10/10 game
Then the Guardian music kicks in...
I should've known...
Just scream ZA WARUDO and the stasis them
And then you get that satisfying moment when you’re centered on one enemy and do a backflip and end up flurry rushing a different one
@@marco-dv3ld haahahahahhaa lmao i get so scared lmao
came back to this theme now that tears of the kingdom's has been revealed, and it's crazy how complementary they are while having a completely different vibe. this one feels like contemplating nature, the new one feels like an epic battle
But now ganondorf came back and changed everything with the upheaval, so it's time to rally everyone and stop him once and for all
It's dangerous to go alone! Take this

When I'm 30 and I look back at this game, ima get that nostalgic feel
And I'm gonna love it
@@moose2023 Bro, this is a reminder for you to think about this game. Let the nostalgia pour through you. I can't believe it's been 3 whole years
Four years later.
I can't decide which is better between this and the totk theme. Both are absolutely amazing and make me cry every time I listen to them
Both of them tell parts of the same story, so none of theme could be completed without each other
This one still takes the cake for me, but it's close.
I would argue botw still has the better theme

its almost been two years...and this theme never fails to get at least one tear from me, just from how beautiful this theme is.
lol its still breathtaking for me... even now
It's so serene and beautiful :')

Yeah, I agree Instinct!
Yeah the use of Erhu there is like, totally unexpected, and so freaking good
Nintendo never ceases to amaze me with the music. Absolutely amazing
@Charlie Ackley that's good to hear 😌
GAME OF THE YEAR!!
Im a mario fan, but id say breath of the wild even beat odyssey.
Luis Aleman I can say the same thing, BotW is the first serious Zelda game I played (the others are Minish Cap and Triforce Heroes but I didn't took many time for those) and, as a Super Mario fan, I can say that BotW is way better than Oddysey
GAME OF CENTURY!!
Game Of The Century - GOTC
Without a doubt
Sounds like something from a Ghibli film, love it :D
OMG SO TRUE
EXACTLY
there's actually a vid of the Princess Mononoke trailer that had this as the sound and I have to say, the pacing on both the vid and the music are uncanny
OH MY GOD I WAS LISTENING TO A TRACK FROM SPIRITED AWAY AND REMEMBERED THIS THEME FOR SOME REASON
TeddytehBear Everytime I hear this song, Princess Mononoke comes to my mind
Just finished the game, One of the most immersive games ive ever stumbled to
So majestic and beautiful, one of my favourite Zelda theme songs
goodness 7 years ago i wanna cry
Its been four years, and yes, this does bring back some serious nostalgia.
I don't know about anyone else, but this theme makes me tear up every time I hear it. It's just so beautiful. Every aspect of it, just excellent.
Words cannot describe what this game does to me. It was the first time since I was a small child that I went into a game blind, having no idea what to expect, with no clue what to do. Feeling my way through it and understanding the beautiful world it encapsulated was absolutely magical.
I get chills literally every time I listen to this, like everytime
I do too especially in the first line of piano.
DUDE FINALLY THANK YOU SO MUCH
he is a god
didn't expect to see you here...
Ayy
This song gives me chills. I remember hearing it for the first time.
It represented a lot to me.
Not only was the open world game about to be reinvented, but this was the comeback of Zelda, the comeback of Nintendo, and ushering into a new era of videos games.
And one of the best video games of all time. A true GOAT moment.

@@S1syph_s ENJOY THE GAME MY FRIEND
The theme is so simple yet so many different themes you go to an A theme then a B and so on. Reflects the game so well, a simple idea but so many parts.
This song fully encapsulates the emotions you feel when playing this game! Simple that turns into something more complex, a bit more fun, enjoyment, then it gets more epic, then it starts to turn sad, it ramps up, then the climax hits and bam! It’s so sad, fun, energetic, hopeful all at the same time! This was my first Zelda game ever, and I already feel so nolstagic for this game and this song.
This game was the reason I even bought the Switch. Was awesome.
Dang, I’ll never forget this theme kicking in as I was met with a beautiful view of Hyrule. This game is such an experience.
This is beautiful... I’m so sorry for your loss, she sounds like she was amazing

I'm so in love with the change the song has at 1:07, my god
i dont know if it is just me but this zelda ost have the same feel as studio ghibli music feel And i really like it :D
That's so .. JAPANESE
The main theme is so nice, especially when you hear it play for the first time during the intro cutecene
When you feel nostalgia for a game thats only 3 years old you know that now is one of the classics.
0:23 when that soft somber sound comes through a tear come to my eyes and it's at that moment I realize why Zelda is my most beloved series in all of gaming truly great how a small part of a composition can bring back all memories of my memories of this franchise in one single instance.
I have not the single clue as to why, but the end with the violin just brings me to tears.
Omg the switch around 1:06 actually gives me goosebumps every time even after the 100th or so time hearing this.
At first I was never really in to the Zelda series, in fact, I had never heard of this series. Then in 2017 I got a Nintendo and botw came with it. 2 years later I beat the game for the first time and now I’m obbsessed with it, probably the best game I’ve ever played.
This will be one of the most nostalgic songs of this era, without a doubt.
So after 3 years of waiting to play this game. I finally got it, and I'm so glad I held out for so long, truly one of the best things ever
This was the greatest game i ever played! I cant say how much i love it such a great story....great soundtrack...great animation! It's a masterpice
Man, 7 whole years, huh? Time sure went by fast. I'll never forget this game for being one of the first games i played on my switch, right next to splatoon 2 and mario Odyssey.
We fr pulled out the master sword and went 7 years forward
Also W games, those are the same as mine, on my lil switch lite lol
non botw players will never understand that feeling of running out of that shrine for the first time... looking at the vast landscape listening to beautiful music... I dont remember when I got the game exactly but it was late 2017-early 2018. only about 4-5 years of playing this game and its already nostalgic.
This is gonna trigger some people, but while both games are certified masterpieces, Breath of the Wild comes out on top.
Totk is literally botw with more and better features that improved on botw's weak sides(mostly)
While it's quite a far from and absolutely perfect, it is much better than botw.
It's amazing how quickly this song has become one of the most nostalgic pieces of zelda music
This games gonna be frikin amazing
Trickster Cat it is
it most definitely is.
It’s the BGE we were waiting for
Update it was I loved it
@2wayflipz 2brogamz idk, lego star wars was a blast
I just love how Breath of the Wild's theme symbolizes both discovery and bonding while Tears of the Kingdom harkens back to something more progressive, like a hero's triumph over something greater.
Damn… BOTW’s soundtrack is still amazing, even 7 years later!
