Agreed. I think TotK does good at making the experience fun and adding new elements to the game, but I think they really faced some growing pains when trying to make this real bombastic story. Personally thought some emotional beats were real hard to sell and overall could be disjointed and downright ruined due to how different people play the game. While people really criticized BotW’s story I think it drove home the sad portions much better through showing, not telling. You didn’t need to see that something crazy happened that could’ve been a large sacrifice, you were living in it. Everything left of the world rested upon Link and he didn’t even know who he was; driven home by the broken themes for the temple of time and a bulk of the soundtrack. TOTK theme it’s good but it’s just something about BOTW theme that holds a special place it my heart. Probably because it has you in the feels? Like it really portrays the feeling of Link finally opening his eyes again after a 100 year slumber. Like he got a second chance in life, now born into a different Hyrule, but destroyed, everything around you just feels depressing. Knowing that he and Zelda are the only survivors left after the Calamity 100 years ago… Now Link has to journey on his own. Out by himself with amnesia, slowly recovering memories of the princess, the champions, the king, the sheikah tribe, and his old friends. He has to free both Zelda and Hyrule from this century of pain. TOTK theme is different. It’s sounds more confident, Link journeys to save Hyrule once again. Ehhhh I’d recommend some more critical reviews of the game for ya. Try “Tears of the Kingdom broke me” by skittybitty and you’ll understand what I mean. I honestly do think BotW has better story because of how much TotK straight up ruins in its non-linear storytelling and many other things. But don’t let that ruin the game for you, if you think Tears is great and better than Breath of the Wild then more power to you. I personally thought Spiderman 2 for PS5 last fall was way better than anyone was giving it credit for, even with the poor story, but I could see why people thought that way. I still think of it as one of my all time favorite games though, so don’t let anyone influence your opinion but keep in mind people are entitled to think differently about games and think other games are better for reasons you may not agree with.

3:39 OMGOSH THE TRUMPETS
The breath of the wild hits so hard and brings me nostalgia
Bro 3:38 put shivers into my soul
If The Legend of Zelda has an opening, TOTK theme is the opening while BOTW theme is the closing
fine, ill go back to totk
I just got goosebumps from the BOTW main theme holy shit
Both themes are awesome godamn
This is criminally underrated 😭
Master piece of the game history...
Now you have 200 suscribers
Holy crap, I do! 😂 mostly from this video alone
1:07 this might be the best part of any soundtrack ever
@@Screentalker12 Agreed. Absolutely beautiful
The botw theme gives me way to much nostalgia 😢 botw has one of the best osts but totk is so cool
one is much more beautiful than the other and you can hear it
Thank you for leaving the silence in. I'm very much not a huge fan when uploaders treat it like it's not supposed to be there
I really like TOTK's one but there is just some magic in BOTW's theme that is emphasized so well.

yahaha
Yahaha
Yahaahah
Breath of the Wild hit different though. Maybe because it was a whole new world.
One thing I really *FUCKING* hate is when youtubers are like: "Oh BoTw iS BeTtEr BeCUaSe It HaS BeTteR StOrY TeLlING EleManTs AnD ToTk dOeSn'T DoEsn'T HaVe ThE sAmE" (I like them both dont get me wrong)
And I'm screaming at the screen like: "Totk doesn't have the same story telling elements..... BECAUSE IT'S NOT THE SAME *FUCKING* STORY!"
Botw in a nutshell: wakey wakey you slept in, “omg guys it’s king roam bosphoromus hyrule”-Eric pointcrow, go talk to your grandma, do the same dungeon over and over again basically, oo a lightsaber, 1v1 me spider lookin ass, links crossbow training
Totk in a nutshell: no more sword lol, stop sleeping in, no more arm (kinda), furry simulator, fortnite, find mommy- sorry, purah, WIND WAKER MOTIF INTENSIFIES, is he saying “why’d you do it”, or “fight me through it”, or…, yo did they put the dungeon boss before the dungeon like what 😭😭😭, wow what a useless ability when splash fruit and throwing mechanic exists, oo a lightsaber but its weaker this time because Nintendo hates us :’), fortnight 2.0, Age of calamity simulator, bro ate a red shrimp, omg guys it’s a dragon- 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥, wait omg zelda = dragon-NO WAY THE WATER BROKE THAT FALL BRO 😭😭😭
😅 lol, okay.
“Mommy-sorry, purah”- me, 2024@@yicklemypickle8716
with the totk theme included the sax like the 3rd trailer
the perfection
This is the music we played at my grandfather's funeral
I have to say: Botw > Totk 😌
Totk is still one of the best games ever made but for me it fails to give the player the atmosphere of it's predecessor..
This song makes me gyatt in my skibidi toilet am i right, the youth?
ToTK would be so good if we can fend off the gloom with guardian technology and the champions aren't forgotten
both peak asf
I’m glad someone else noticed the connection
Connection? What do you mean?
@@yicklemypickle8716 the 2 theme compliment each other perfectly as if they were ment tk be put together
BotW is just diffrent. dont get me wrong i love the Totk music but the Botw is truely astonishing
hey that’s me in the first part
BotW is beautiful, yes. But TotK gets my blood flowing!
i need the images, is so cool
im crying
Bruh the TotK theme goes so hard at first and then the erhu 😭😭😭 2:40
(Edit) 💀 I didn't mean to be disrespectful, I don't think it sounds bad. I was just pointing it out because I thought it was funny. I still think the song is a total masterpiece.
that's one of my favorite parts because it's so cheerful.
and the instrument is called erhu
@@musicaldoodles9615 I mean it is nice it's just unexpected
It is an erhu which is basically a Chinese fiddle. And it is gorgeous
@@TheBlindRaven I do agree it sounds nice I just thought it was funny as it caught me off guard
Ngl I don’t remember ever hearing any music in these games
Its was mostly used in trailers
@@-Brick-head- makes more sense
I started to really care about Zelda when totk came out, to me the theme song means this universe that i'm discovering (even knowing some basic things about the franchise before), so to me it really has a huge impact
