I remember when I first went down there. I saw all the SUPPOSEDLY dead Guardians and was immediately suspicious. I cautiously approached a few of them, and when they didn't respond, I slowly went over and opened the chest, still unsure of my safety. And then there were half a dozen laser sights on me, and I was like "I KNEW IT! I KNEW THEY WERE GOING TO ATTACK!" I absolutely BOLTED out of there, let me tell you!
Actually, some of the guardians will come alive if you go right up to them (and that's before opening the chest). So what I did was killed 1 by 1, breaking some of my sheilds in the process because I suck balls at parrying lasers. (I literally still struggle to always parry it right after a year of playing and it makes me want to kill myself). Then when I opened the chest, there weren't so many of them targeting me.
That is terrifying, but not your first time stumbling upon a room full of redead terrifying, or a room full to sprite capacity of wizrobes, likelikes, and bubbles. The redead aren't terribly overpowered, but they shriek like something out of a horror film, stunlock link, then skullf*** him. The wizrobes teleport around and cast a beam that deals insane "guardian" amounts of damage, which can only be blocked by the large shield. You're likely to be knocked into a likelike which eats said shield, and the bubbles(flaming skulls) make it so you can not use your sword. That was Zelda 1. There's a terrifying sequel, which is a platformer with RPG elements, in where something called an iron knuckle, which is like a darknut crossed with a hammer brother is like 90% of every enemy in the game. I think one of the goals of BotW was to make it "Nintendo hard", IIRC the developers literally made a prototype on the NES. How you do that for something nine times the size of Skyrim is beyond me. Maybe it was just so younger programmers could learn to use NES ASM thus culling the herd and releasing a better final product.

Tu Ka'loh didn't intend the guardians here to be pitted against the Hero. The monks built the shrines and died before Ganon corrupted the guardians here (red color). Guardians inside the shrines are uncorrupted (orange color) for training purposes by the Sheika.
Because of the Links Hard Knock Life video I knew exactly what was coming and I just glided myself right to the treasure chest and ollie'd the fuck out. Had I not known, though, I probably would have panicked and not even noticed the chest.

Heres a tip: Close attack: shoot it in the eye so it stops aiming at you and hit it with the most powerful sword you got Ranged attack: hit it in the eye with powerful arrows or parry it Parry tip: when you see that the red laser disappears or its eye glows white or hear a beep sound, press A button "Wait for a second if ur very far away"
Against the bigger ones, chop off the legs then go crazy against it's body and be ready to shoot the eye of you got a low damage weapon, it was thanks to doing all tuo make the guardians easy to defeat now, except those turrets at Hyrule castle, those things suck.
A few of the little ones actually have MORE HEALTH than some of the normal ones. Most normal ones have 500 health, and I've found small ones with 1500 health. That's as much as the flying guardians have.

I remember when I was getting the memory of the knighting ceremony or whatever, the moment the memory finished there was just a single second of silence and BAM! A guardian shot me from the side. Wish I got that on video.
Definitely one of my favorite traps, because I had used Stasis to scan for active Guardians, and carefully took them out one by one, because I was sure opening the Chest would set them off. Except, the decayed ones were Stasis-proof, so the trap still got me anyway. I like that.
The sound design for the Guardians is incredible. The distorted piano hit once the Guardian wakes up followed by the skin crawling music and alarm sounds they make fills me with a sort of existential dread that I can’t describe other than “You are going to die at the hands of an unfeeling, unthinking machine who’s only purpose is to kill you”.

Just in case people consider it a spoiler I won't explicitly say where: but there is a way to reallocate hearts/stamina at a cost. So I was able to revert them back so I could have max stamina again.
I accidentally got myself in this situation. I decided to go back and load old save data and kill the guardians before getting the chest. I truly had no idea it was possible to defeat them after they had all been activated, so kudos to you!!! It was not gonna be possible for me hahaha
Useful tips for people who have trouble fighting and avoiding Guardian Stalkers. - The Guardian shoots more than once if you get too close to it. - Shoot the Guardian's eye to stun it. - Weapons for the past (Like Master Sword or Guardian Sword) will deal damage to Guardians. - If you have the Master Sword, you can seek for Guardians and when a Guardian gets close, the Master Sword will beam up!
This game seems to have invincibility frames, if the guardian repeatedly shoots you, you no longer take damage. So the first thing doesn't really count, does it?
Well, it does. if it shoots you twice, your "ragdoll mode" (invincible, but can't move) lasts longer. which sounds good until you realize that the guardian has been charging up its laser the entire time.
I remember the first time I found this place. Fortunately, I remembered what SomeCallMeJohnny taught me about the shield bash, so now I'm no longer afraid of these things.

Should have used the stasis clip trick. If a destroyed walking guardian hasn't noticed you yet, you can stasis it and it will fall through the ground when the stasis opens back up

When I went here the guardians weren’t even there. Well I think they were but they never activated
this place be like:
"whats in this pit?"
"omg, a chest and a bunch of desactivated guardians!"

Nothing like Guardians pointing there lasers at you at just like in the beginning of Toy Story 2.
Should have used the stasis clip trick. If a destroyed walking guardian hasn't noticed you yet, you can stasis it and it will fall through the ground when the stasis opens back up
I like how it transitions from the decayed guardian song to the guardian stalker song
Absolutely INCREDIBLE. I still haven't played the game more than a few hours, so I had no idea this exists. What a nightmare.
And whatta ending!
I had to get my travel medallion from the room of angry piano music and many death lasers. But at least I don't have to go there ever again. Until I'm brave enough to face master mode.
