I find it interesting how each of these games could represent one part of the triforce. Age of Calamity features a lot of red in its promotional art, and the game is all about giving the player a feeling of immense power as you single handedly wipe out hundreds of monsters. Botw features a lot of blue imagery and has a massive focus on the shiekah technology, which represents wisdom. And totk features a lot of green imagery with the zonai energy and such, and its all about bravely going to new and uncharted territory, including essentially to the depths of hell to confront the being that has terrorized hyrule for millenia. Courage.
This sounds like a finale or a verge of Hyrule ending. With flashbacks from all 3 games and significant characters and scenes playing. And link and Zelda grow powerful and stand their ground against a very powerful Ganondorf.
every time I listen to this I want to continue playing breath of the wild (haven't finished yet), which is a problem because I listen to this while I am doing homework.
this trilogy has been my favorite game trilogy, ever. Breath of the wild stole my heart as soon as I loaded in. It was my first time on my switch in years, it was my first Zelda game and I had no clue what I was doing. Playing Breath of the wild was the best thing I've ever done. (in terms of video games) I got AoC sometime close after it came out, not knowing anything about. I saw no trailers, no gameplay, I didn't even play the demo. And I'm glad I didn't, because I don't think I would've gotten it if I knew the gameplay at the time. (since I've only played BoTW and I'm not a huge fan of those type of games) I'm so glad that I got it though, since I'm a huge fan of stories. Then of course, May 11 2023, i went with my friend to GameStop at midnight for the midnight release, and got my copy of ToTK. anyways thanks for reading my tedtalk or something like that. It is official. Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity, and Tears of the Kingdom are my most favorite Zelda games. Although AoC is separate from BotW and TotK, they all exist in the same era, a collection of games in the distant future of the Zelda timeline that I would call: The Era of the Wilds Trilogy. And this song harmonizes them as a legacy of all that came before.
Just making another comment real quick, the first notes of the main theme at 1:25 are *insane*, we need a full version of this someday. Heck, do that to celebrate the 10K you'll eventually get but please this is SO good

This was a fantastic piece, the Wild trilogy of games is so important to me and I love them so much, you really conveyed the music of all three beautifully.
This is a flipping masterpiece! All of the different themes are blended together so well! And it is so grand too! It’s just soooo good I am screaming! Just know that when you see a fan mod/game of BotW called Era of Heroes in the somewhat distant future and hear music that is a mashup of all of the wild games, this is what it is based off of (although I already had the idea to combine all of the themes which is how I found this, but I just mean to say that this does it so well that I will probably use it or take parts of it in terms of the musical ideas that you used to blend them for my own, with credit of course!).
Watching and listening to this reminded me that I miss being happy. It has felt so distant, but if Zelda could wait 100 years for us, I can wait another few months for the release of Tears of the Kingdom to distract me from the pain for a few moments.
All three of these games mean so much to me (EVEN IF ONE HASN'T EVEN BEEN RELEASED YET) BOTW was so fun and it brings back so many memories, blowing up a bokoblin camp with bombs, freezing on a mountain until I found the peppers, leaving the plateau, taking on all sorts of bosses, entering the divine beasts, taking on the blights, completing the map, getting the master sword, getting destroyed by Lynels and then destroying those lynels on my 100th try, the final ride on my horse as we sprinted toward Hyrule castle, storming Hyrule castle and battling Calamity Ganon, landing the final blow on Dark beast Ganon. I could name so many other moments that had immersed me in this wonder of a world, I enjoyed playing every second of it. AOC was pretty interesting when it got announced, we all thought it was gonna be accurate to the actual events of the calamity but when the game came it turned out to be a winning timeline which people weren't exactly happy about. whatever you think about AOC's story is alright, I was okay with how it turned out and still enjoyed Terrako and all the new additions. When TOTK was revealed I leaped from my chair and started bawling my eyes out, having had such a good time with BOTW it was warranted and afterward, I just remember sitting there smiling from ear to ear. Then as time just passed and passed, I'd wait for a trailer and be so ready for an event like E3 or the game awards, and then when we finally got the trailer I was so happy. then we got the delay announcement and I waited longer and longer and then we got the next trailer and then later the 10 minutes of gameplay. and now... We're getting TOTK's final trailer tomorrow and the game is only 30 days away 3 LONG YEARS I HAVE WAITED FOR THIS.
Am I the only one thinking of crying because of this beautiful mix of the these games music? it just so pleasing to hear an orchestra play such a heavenly but also intense melody!!
