People complain this isn't in the game, but it's the opposite for me: it's amazing that Nintendo makes the effort to make such incredible music *JUST* for a trailer.
Plus it's a mashup of several musics of the game :
- new dragons theme
- Zelda's main theme
- diving
- BOTW main theme
- a bit of Tears of the dragon (last tear memory)
- classic Hyrule castle's theme
- Ganondorf's theme
- the "seal" theme
- Zelda's lullaby
All of this themes are both in the game and the trailer, there is just the portion with the saxophone that I don't recognize.
i'm still salty they didn't release that 1 pokemon trailer music for sun/moon.
“Just for a trailer” don’t be oblivious. Trailers are literally supposed to be hooks and make players buy a game, are you kidding me??
@@Wyllowispthe highlighted word is "Just" which in context means this song was made exclusively for the trailer.... Which is amazing on it's own. It's not to shit on Trailers in general.

People keep saying they wish this played somewhere in the game... but like, _where_ would something like this even play?? I feel like it was specifically made to be played in sync with the trailer clips. There's so much variety; so many quiet moments, epic moments, ups and downs, that it wouldn't fit well in anything EXCEPT a trailer. That's part of the reason why it's so good. It just screams "trailer music" to me.
Reusing it in some random cutscene or battle would be a bit awkward IMO.
The same applies for BOTW final trailer. This music only works beautifully in trailer format.
@@UKmike6699 fr I think a remix of the sax part would've gone hard but no way the full thing would fit in game, it's just too... trailery?
@@UKmike6699 I don't get it either, both BOTW and TOTK got flamed for not using their trailer OSTs. Was that ever a thing to begin with? Like where did this come from?
Bro it would be SOOOO AWKWARD 💀
Imagine fighting some menacing boss and then 0:26 plays.. You're all hyped up as the OST blares in your ears.. but then 0:38 hits and the song immediately transitions to a soft peaceful piano.. not fitting for a bossfight at all.
This trailer has so much variety that it wouldn't fit in any one situation... other than a trailer. And that's not a bad thing at all cuz they COOKED 🔥
@@UKmike6699 I just wanted these songs to be in the credits at least. Feels weird that the best songs of both games are purely for marketing lol
I like to imagine 2:00 is Link just hitting a random sax solo before killing Ganondorf.
Well if Ganondorf has his suavemente then it's only fair that Link gets the sax.

Say what you will about Tears of the Kingdom, but the music never misses!
YES!!! Zelda music never disappoints. It takes us amazing adventures wherever we go.
Well, would have been even better if that track was in the actual game.
@@agahnim0196 And where exactly would this fit? Just think about it before complaining.
This is TRAILER MUSIC, it's orchestrated to be put over a TRAILER, not gameplay... There is not a SINGLE moment in the game where something like this would work. It just wouldn't. There are too many epic moments, calm moments, ups and downs in this track for one specific moment in the game. And even if there was, this still SOUNDS like trailer music, you can easily tell when parts are supposed to play over certain scenes in the trailer. It would be so off-putting to reuse it in a new context.
Well it’s my favorite Zelda game, so I stay winning
@@agahnim0196 Impossible. This song cuts between moods like _crazy_ (and that's not a complaint). One moment you're being blasted with bombastic epic music, the next you're listening to a calm serene piano, then suddenly you're blasted with loud and menacing "big bad" type music, then it switches to more quietness and suspense...
No moment in this game (or any game) cuts between moods so constantly or dramatically. This would be out of place.

totk will age fine and in a few years it will be beloved just like botw, ww and skyward sword.
I think it will blend together a bit with botw since they're so similar. Kind of like how people always mention the Oracle games together
It's great now and always will be. Timeline stans just can't get over the fact that these games have been inconsistent since A Link to the Past. These games clearly are part of a multiverse. They just don't shove the multiverse aspect down our throats like say Marvel or DC. Well, expect maybe Hyrule Warriors, but that was the intent as it's a spinoff.
I feel like it will age like skyward sword. People really love it on release, then the cracks start to show, and people realize it wasn’t as good as they thought, then they realize they were too harsh, and although it’s not perfect, it’s still pretty good for what it is. I personally was disappointed by the game and I don’t think that will change, but I can’t deny that mechanically speaking, it’s pretty good, and people will look back on it fondly.
@@gooseguyfilms4460I'm genuinely not trying to be rude, but I'm a little tired of people treating themselves overhyping the game and being disappointed it wasn't what they saw in their head with the game doing something wrong.
Disappointment isn't always the games fault. Give it a bit and go back with fresh eyes, as to me, it was anything but disappointing. The first playthrough was a bit weak, but when I went back for a second, it was one of the greatest gaming experiences of my life.
Give it a proper chance.
@@RenSako No worries, you don’t come across as rude. I didn’t mean to come across overly negative. Totk is a good game, in fact it is a great game, it’s just not a game I liked very much.
I loved playing it the first time, and as I do with every Zelda game I play, I went to do a second play through. For many reasons though, I just couldn’t feel excited for the second play through, and I just never found myself wanting to play it. Every time I thought about playing it my mind would tell me, “no, I’ll get bored in like 10 minutes”. The only things I like about totk are what I liked about botw, which I still really like, but I find myself playing botw way more.
Totk wasn’t just disappointing, I just don’t like its core mechanics or the new content. The sky islands could have been really cool if there were more of them, and they weren’t all that weird plus shape shrine puzzle. The depths were really cool for the first few days before I realized that it was all the same. Similar complaints with the abilities. At first I thought I was crazy, but I was comforted that a few people shared the same opinion with me. The game just wasn’t and still isn’t (no matter how many times I try to play it) my idea of fun.
Botw was only interesting to me because the lore was surprisingly well thought out for a Zelda game, and the story felt more like a history than a one dimensional experience. I have the opposite of a short attention span; things that aren’t really well thought out or explained in depth aren’t interesting to me. The only other quality I liked in botw was the exploration and calming atmosphere. Totk still had that, but I’d already explored Hyrule before so it didn’t feel the same.
I’m not great at understanding why certain people like and don’t like certain things from a psychological standpoint, but I do like hearing when people have different opinions from me, because it gives me a learning opportunity and a chance to listen.
I know for some reason that people have been on a big hate train towards this game lately, but I got to say, it’s great that we can all come together to praise the music no matter what 👍🏻
Loretards just can't be pleased.
Absolutely, I was massively disappointed by the final game but the hype pre-launch was real
I hate how every video about this game now is all negative.
@@Indy921Those of us who didn’t like the game were shut down for voicing our criticisms for a good while after launch. It was only a matter of time before the dam broke and all the pent up frustrations about this game flooded into discussions.
@@yourconscience8018 But there's no positivity left. Literally, every youtube video for half a year has been overwhelmingly negative. There were a few months of nothing but positivity, but we are going on a year of nothing but negativity.

Yes! TOTK has a lot of great music, but so does BOTW. I can fire off many great tracks from that game just off the tip top of my mind. Not having a field theme does not mean a game has no soundtrack.
@@mr.awesome6011 It’s not even that’s there’s not a Field theme, it’s just that people can’t handle change, so their small monkey brains have to cope with not having keys being jangled in front of them the whole game.

After all this time, it's weird to not hear the shield deflect when the sax starts
Yeah lol
I don't get why some people hate on Totk so much.
As far as I'm concerned, it's an almost perfect game.
They really improved upon Botw and my only real complaint is that the Sage's abilities are far more annoying to use than the Champion's abilities from Botw, since you have to walk up to the Sages and interact with them.
I want to do a back to back playthrough of both, maybe in a year or so. The thing is everyone who loved Botw had that feeling where they'd want to play through botw for the first time again and honestly totk nailed that feeling for me while adding more stuff.
@@Alchemist1995 the music and art are phenomenal, the gameplay iffy but good 70% of the time, but the story and world building is so bad it drags it down the whole game
It lacks the secret ingredient:
N O S T A L G I A
Makes most games better and might raise worse games of your childhood into an unreachable god-tier status.
probably one of the reasons is because it was in development for longer than BOTW, it copied everything from BOTW, and they couldn't even make a really good story and good gameplay too, some people said before the game went on sale that it would be like a DLC for BOTW, and I really consider TOTK just as a DLC for BOTW

I don't care if this game is 'bad.'
I played my first Zelda game im 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic, when i wasn't even 10 and i fell in love with this game, playing it nonstop every day for probably a year.
I waited for TOTK to come out. I waited every day, and i remember hoping that this game would be absolutely great.
And when it came out, i had just finished a test and got back home, i swear my soul nearly ascended. My adrenaline was through the roof as i explored the undergrounds of the castle with Zelda. And the 26th of April, a month prior, when the final trailer came out, i had again come out of an even harder test that had been tormenting me since before Easter break. And i did my homework faster than i've ever, knowing the livestream was about to start. I was freaking out as i watched the trailer live, and god the MUSIC.
This game means so much to me, especially the trailer music. I'm nearly 14 now and i love Zelda with all my heart! :)

The game isn't bad, it's not even close to being bad. It's a phenomenal game. Sadly a lot of Zelda fans just want the same thing they've been playing since the '90s and despise BotW and TotK for breaking the mold.
