I know he said the whole thing about "I'll just look at you and nod" but he didn't even seem that surprised. More emotional shock in his face would've sold it for me. For whoever is wondering about when did Batman get off the Bat, right before the jet reaches the coastline of Gotham, there's an explosion (caused by Batman himself). That is just a deception, right after that, the auto-pilot is activated and Batman enters another vehicle to scape unnoticed.
I think Alfred takes out his credit card to pay but sees Bruce and just puts the card back in his wallet. Which means Bruce’ll take care of the bill. Which means he’s actually there, not being a dream. Unless everything is a dream.
He escape the explosion drop the bomb into the water and left with Selena being done with Batman but john blake aka robin was going to take the mantel of Batman protect Gotham
October 6, 2022: met Christian Bale while I was in the Marine Corps when he came to Camp Pendleton, CA to do a meet & greet/promote Amsterdam at the base theater… I was shocked AF when he started talking cuz I never knew he was English 😅 and that was my first time hearing him speak as himself and not a movie character lol
One thing thats always pointed to it being real is the fact that when they're going over Bruce's Will at the end, it's mentioned that they can't leave a string of pearls missing from the will. When we skip to the cafe scene, we can see Selena wearing the pearls. Bruce also had a tracker in the pearls. It's how he found Selena earlier in the movie and could explain how Alfred found him at that specific cafe.
Movie is amazing and ik it probably wouldnt make sense but if they made robin's character terry from batman beyond ohh shit that would be crazier and even better cause then years later after the movie if they wanted they can make live action batman beyond
