  • Pan FRIED FRESH APPLE in 10 minutes!! Easy to make, yet so deliciously fresh!! Recipe below...
    PAN FRIED APPLES
    3-4 (1-1/2 pounds) tart red apples such as Gala, Honeycrisp, or Fuji, peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2-inch wedges
    2-4 Tablespoons butter, cubed
    3 tablespoons brown sugar
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg, optional
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    1 Tablespoon cornstarch
    1. In a large nonstick skillet, over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add sliced apples. Cook for 8 minutes or until tender. Stirring occasionally.
    2. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Cook while stirring for an additional 1 minute or until apple slices are glazed. Reduce heat to medium-low. Sprinkle in cornstarch and toss until well blended.
    3. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes for glaze to thicken. Stir again before serving immediately.

    Oh my, those look absolutely amazing, we're trying those tonight, and I have to comment on how beautifully that cast iron is seasoned, maybe make a video on showing how you did that ? I know there's a bunch but haven't seen many that look that good.

      This is a really good recipe! I made it a few months ago and looked back to make it agin. I was thinking the same thing about the frying pan, would love to know how she seasons it!

      I don't think thickening the sauce is all that important. That's all it was for as far as I know
