That's exactly the reason I watched the video... so I can use it as a Topping on Pancakes and freeze half a Batch for Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal breakfast Smoothies. This Fall, Healthy is gonna taste Good😋🍎
I am a complete beginner at cooking and just tried out this recipe! It was very easy to follow. I clicked on the link in the description for a more detailed recipe after watching the video. I didn’t have corn starch or baking powder, so I used baking soda for thickening and it worked great. I wasn’t sure what temperature to cook on so I started on medium heat until I finished the recipe and then I let it simmer. I also added the extra ingredients in the recipe on the article and it made everything amazingly flavorful and strong(in a good way). Everything turned out fabulous and I paired it with some vanilla ice cream! It was amazing.
Made this recipe tonight with swerve brown sugar and my husband really enjoyed it. He has to watch his sugar, but a good base recipe to tweek to your needs. Thank you!
I bought a bag of apples at Aldi for a good price along with spices to mix my own preferred blend. I'm going to cook the sauce mixture for a couple of minutes, fold in the sliced apples, cover them and then turn off the heat to prevent the fruit from becoming mushy. I like certain fruits to be crisp tender, warmed through but still only partially cooked. Your recipe looks fabulous as a dessert or with oatmeal.
I subscribe because I made it and now everybody's eating it and it tastes so good don't thank me for making it and this is why I subscribed to your RUclips channel cuz you make so much good food

Honestly since I'm on a diet I can't have brown sugar. or butter, or corn starch LOL but I'm sure I can still make this delicious. With olive oil, cinnamon and some other spices I have.
I would use Allulose for my sweetener as it tastes the most like sugar and also browns like sugar does. Allulose is about 70% as sweet as sugar though, just fyi. And I would not use Olive oil as that would not compliment the flavor profile well. I would use either Organic Virgin Coconut Oil or Avocado Oil, myself. Cold-pressed oils, always. And for a thickener opposed to Corn Starch, depending on what dietary needs I may have, I would use either Arrowroot, Xanthan Gum or Agar Agar. Just some friendly tips and suggestions. Have a great day. 😉✌
Looks so good. I just made some but mines doesn't look like this and I followed all the instructions from video. Yours looks lighter mines doesn't And what if you don't wanna use butter can you use an oil like avocado oil which I have And from some videos I've seen some people bake there's. Is it better to bake them or fry them
Yes you can use avocado oil. I am not sure about baking, as I haven't tested it. My guess is it would work to bake, but which is better? For me it's with gently fried in butter in a pan on stove top.
Ingredients - 2 tablespoon butter 4 apples peeled, cored and sliced into 8 thick slices ½ cup light brown sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder ½ teaspoon ginger powder ¼ teaspoon nutmeg powder 1 tablespoon lemon juice ½ teaspoon kosher salt 1 teaspoon corn starch 1 teaspoon water optional It serves 4 as toppings for desserts, pancakes.
Hi, tried the recipe , its come out great , loved the flavour. Small question... what exactly is kocher salt? Will be obliged if you can help me in learning that.
It's a kind of coarse flaked salt preferred by chefs as it is easier to work with. You can use other salt but be careful not to use too much, which might ruin the dish.
The lemon juice and salt are great and all but if this is going’s straight into a pan then why bother with that part? Not like you need them to sit aside while you make a pie crust..
what was unclear? Can you explain. I have shown all steps as clearly as possible in the video and have clear written instructions in my website, link shared in description
This is MY way of cooking cinnamon apples. I always add little salt for some of the sweets. It elevates the taste of the the dish. Lemon juice adds nice tang to the dish, which I love!
Speak 4 yourself! Some of us actually like flavored food! If you're concerned about a pinch of salt, then just stop eating altogether, & get it over with. That way u can stop the lifetime of stressing over it!
INGREDIENTS: 2 tablespoon butter 4 apples peeled, cored and sliced into 8 thick slices ½ cup light brown sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder ½ teaspoon ginger powder ¼ teaspoon nutmeg powder 1 tablespoon lemon juice ½ teaspoon kosher salt 1 teaspoon corn starch 1 teaspoon water optional I will update the video and repost with the ingredients quantity as soon as I can. Until till please check the website for ingredients and measurements - www.currytrail.in/cinnamon-apples/
It's a pinch of salt and I guarantee you, you won't be able to taste salt. Also a pinch of salt in any sweet dish elevates it's taste, just saying! If you are still concerned about adding "pinch of salt" you can use 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice added to apple. Hope this help!

I have to watch my saturated fat intake so i used coconut oil instead of butter
What's swerve sugar ? is it a substitute ? I usually use honey or stevia or truvia, it all depends on what I'm making.
Just made this to top pancakes, and it was perfect. Thank you.
Your video was much more informative than the 4 others that I watched and the results were delicious!

Replace sugar for xylitol, monk fruit sweetener
I wouldn't add olive oil, isn't fitting. Try plant based butter instead.

These came out so good and now my 2 yr old will eat apples 😂

How much lemon juice and salt
Look in the description
Salt and lemon is not needed in apples that are cooked right away plus salt is not healthy
The music is horrible!
PUT IT ON THE HAM!

Instructions unclear I accidentally made caramel
what was unclear? Can you explain. I have shown all steps as clearly as possible in the video and have clear written instructions in my website, link shared in description
@@JyothiRajesh “instructions unclear” is a meme/joke 😭😭 I probably added too much brown sugar or cooked it too long but ya I accidentally made caramel
Lol... Best part of the video is the track skipping
u should remove the lemon acid and salt from apples so it can be brown.
Looks good, not diabetic friendly
Just leave out the sugar. At the end of cooking add sweetener. But you just wait to the end, heating sweetener can make it taste weird.
Maybe jaggery to use
Measurements help, moving on...

@@JyothiRajesh Agree. I add a pinch of salt for sweet oat meal, so with less sugar comes out sweeter. Well, taste differs.
