COT got so much shit in my opinion because they kept changing it, making teams have to start over every year. I thought the ones with the wings had great racing even though they were super dangerous and looked horrible
This was amazing. I'm a Jeff Gordon fan but damn that was awesome racing! THAT how an All-Star race should be! And I LOVE the commentary ...thats why I love Fox. They get so into it!
That was nobody's fault. Just some really exciting 3-wide racing. I'm a Gordon fan and I wasn't even mad at Kyle or Ryan. When there's one million dollars on the line, anything goes.
*KEEP YOU FOOT IN IT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH*
Not much debate. Only debate there'd be room for is Jeff possibly got aero loose off the corner, in which case was only racing. Just 3 guys who refused to lose.
@Nate Allen. That would involve digging up the concrete beams supporting that wall, moving the catchfence back, (and then the grandstands would be dangerously close to tge catchfence),and then re-doing that whole process. The return on investment wouldn't be worth it, considering the drivers are only getting another 4-6 feet of space
DW almost sh*t himself. I mean this is the best racing I've seen in a NASCAR race in a very long time!!! Jeff clearly had the best car in that segment, but ohwell I'm excited for the 600.
i was watching this and my heart was pumping like a freakin engine although i am aJeff Gordon fan- and i saw him wreck- i admit this race was pretty dramatic
This is why Shannon McGlamery lost his job as Gordon's spotter - he didn't tell Gordon that it was 3-wide and Newman was up top, Gordon thought it was just Kyle above him.
I tell you what man, I am a huge Jeff Gordon fan. But damn, i dont care he wrecked. Since when does Kyle Busch or Newman or even Gordon have to give room going for a million dollars. SHit happens, thats what you call racing for a million dollars. I'd rather see Gordon crash because of hard racing than see Gordon win in a snoozefest. AWESOME RACING!
@nascarandjeff123 i agree with u. im a jeff gordon fan and i was devastated when he crashed, but i love, i mean LOVE how come he was more aggresive. he should race like that EVERY weekend.
Yeah, if you watch the replay, Kyle actually comes DOWN the track coming out of turn 4. I have no idea why he did that if he knew there was someone below him. A good race car driver gives the guy below you room.
Because Newman was up high? A good race car driver doesn’t wreck himself into the wall when someone is clearly high. Good way to get right-reared into the wall. Gordon drifted up the track. Spotter should’ve said three-wide, you’re on the bottom. Honestly, it was just good hard racing for a million bucks.
This was not Jeff's fault. He didn't know it was 3 wide because his spotter didn't tell him, AND, Kyle Busch could have given him more room. Just wild, 3-wide racing, and a wreck was waiting to happen.
@ConsumingFire39 Troll, How can Gordon cause the wreck, he was trying to clear kyle busch but he was stuck to Gordon's outside and newman shoved his way in up top to make it 3 wide and that pushed kyle busch into Gordon and the way he goes down the apron, so Gordon did not cause nothing, it was all Newman who started it
it was no ones fault, gordon got lose and tried to correct it but unfortunatley busch and newman were there, newman bounced off the wall and hit busch and gordon was there, its racing, on to the 600
this is one of those moments that the commentators stop being commentators and start being true race fans
"Keep your foot in it AAAAAAAAAAAARGH" Best part ever
WildWeaselNASCAR pow
Mike Joy: powl!!!
Yes
@@stefano11584 ñ
I’ve probably watched this 500 times in my life.
People won't admit it but the COT made for some good racing.
@GN exactly
ochobinco they’re to busy comparing shit
ochobinco nostalgia
It had its high points and its low points like every gen car but it did have some good racing especially towards the end of its era
COT got so much shit in my opinion because they kept changing it, making teams have to start over every year. I thought the ones with the wings had great racing even though they were super dangerous and looked horrible
The reactions of Darrell ,Larry, and Mike..>>>>>>>>>
"3 WIDE IN TWO!!!"
THERE STILL THREE WIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Promise 77 PAAAW
POW!
The speed, the sound of the engines at 9000+ rpm...things we took for granted. Have yet to see anything like this from the next gen car.
The new gen is a damn joke
This was amazing. I'm a Jeff Gordon fan but damn that was awesome racing! THAT how an All-Star race should be! And I LOVE the commentary ...thats why I love Fox. They get so into it!
Now it's a shit show
That was nobody's fault. Just some really exciting 3-wide racing. I'm a Gordon fan and I wasn't even mad at Kyle or Ryan. When there's one million dollars on the line, anything goes.
Bro I was pissed at Newman doin that I mean come on but that commentary!!!!
That bump draft is probably one of my favorite clips to watch
that was some good racing right there
to me, as a Kyle Busch, Ryan Newman, and Jeff Gordon fan, they all raced hard right there.
If the racing was THIS GREAT then NASCAR would be great again.
It just did
The pit stop 48 Productions Lol. The open was crazy too. The finishes to stage one and two were wild.
Have you seen the past 'Dega race?, that was a cool race, in a 2005-ish style.
@@HirokaAkita No one ever wants to acknowledge that race for some reason. It was one of the best races of the year.
@@StormSliders It's because of the shitty finish.
what a shame! Jeff had the best car by far. Although there was not much anyone could do to avoid that wreck. PLUS $1,000,000 was on the line
NASCAR is the only Motorsport that has an All star race.
''Have you Ever?'' ''No I have never!!!''
WOW i loved the commentary it was insane. i love the excitement!
Last good all star race
2010 was good
the final segment of 2016 was good
I think 2018 was the last great one
I'm not a NASCAR fan but I screamed when watching this. 🤣
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
We love you Darrell Waltrip :)
KEEP YA FOOT IN IT! AHHHHHHH!
*Pow*
Agreed. No one on TV does it better than Mike, D.W., and Larry Mac.
*KEEP YOU FOOT IN IT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH*

one of the best pieces of racing commentary ever
Man this is easily one of the most exciting finishes of the year.
THIS WAS SOME AWESOME RACING! I think it's safe to say this year's all star race was a great improvement from last year's disaster.
0:58
1:01 sounds like Mike Breen
So glad I get to say I was at that race
How did you feel
This was one of the best races I ever saw
Not much debate. Only debate there'd be room for is Jeff possibly got aero loose off the corner, in which case was only racing. Just 3 guys who refused to lose.
loose?? no, jeff was losing the nose off of 4 there, definitely not loose. pushed up into kyle. tight racing.
Bring back the COT. Makes damn good racin.
Awesome racing. The All-Star Race is awesome, in that drivers do things on the track they would never do in points races.
THAT WAS SOME GOOOOOOOD RACING THERE. Too bad Jeff wrecked though...
And The Commentary Was A Classic!!!!!
I flipping love Darrel and Larry! They freaked out sooo much in this race and I pissed myself with laughter!
I was so hoping Ryan would have pushed Jeff and not Kyle since they were kind of teammates and were both Chevy.
I just LOVE the commentary. They're so excited they can barely speak!
I wish i could see D.W.'s face while he yelled
That was an amazing race.
I was at that race
Liar
LeBron James you have no proof

@111cados111, you cant go three wide in that corner. jeff would have been fine but there was 3 cars there.
i love this commentary
Keep Your Foot In It Aaaaaaaaaargh

How’d they gonna all miss him?
DW almost sh*t himself. I mean this is the best racing I've seen in a NASCAR race in a very long time!!! Jeff clearly had the best car in that segment, but ohwell I'm excited for the 600.
The best race I've ever been to.
i was watching this and my heart was pumping like a freakin engine

I MISS THIS
You've obviously never heard Murray Walker before.
I hear it too. I have never noticed that
Darrell Waltrip: AHHHHHHHH!
As a Jeff Gordon fan, that sucked. But that's the kind of racing I'd want to see every weekend.
This is why Shannon McGlamery lost his job as Gordon's spotter - he didn't tell Gordon that it was 3-wide and Newman was up top, Gordon thought it was just Kyle above him.
We need these engines again
I'm a huge Jeff Gordon fan, but it didn't bother me at all to see him wreck because this race was so exciting :D
it was such a great battle
The Goat did his thing.
They were still 3 wide!
2010 all star race tonight!
This is All-Star Racing at it's Best!
Damn it Ryan...
Jeff Gordon actually had a chance to save this car if he would have kept it turned to the left
AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
@nascarandjeff123 i agree with u. im a jeff gordon fan and i was devastated when he crashed, but i love, i mean LOVE how come he was more aggresive. he should race like that EVERY weekend.
looked like short track racing at 185 mph! i love it! if only gordons spotter was a little faster at saying 3 wide then it would have been awsome
wow, dw excitted. hope he gets that happy sunday
What happened to the great all star racing :(
I was so frustrated after that I cried!!
It's a joke since last year. 2010 and 2011 weren't terrible, but 2012 was clearly set up for JJ to win, as was 2013.
@steelernaitiondlr46 Your Right about the Busch part.
Wow DW .... Just wow.... thats excitement
That was one of the best All Star Races.
Not because Gordon wrecked (I like Gordon), but because the racing was EPIC.
Honestly, it was just good hard racing for a million bucks.
stop with the thumbs down. Ive liked snce i was 4 and i agree with you. I think he will get another champion before he ritires
jeff gordon is the only reason why i watch nascar
thats crazy how fast newmans car became after being nearly 2 laps down, too bad he had to go to the garage after that contact
This was not Jeff's fault. He didn't know it was 3 wide because his spotter didn't tell him, AND, Kyle Busch could have given him more room. Just wild, 3-wide racing, and a wreck was waiting to happen.
man I like FOX, they are the best! So much energy they have! To ban Gordon Wrecked. :(
@ConsumingFire39 Troll, How can Gordon cause the wreck, he was trying to clear kyle busch but he was stuck to Gordon's outside and newman shoved his way in up top to make it 3 wide and that pushed kyle busch into Gordon and the way he goes down the apron, so Gordon did not cause nothing, it was all Newman who started it
Darrells yell
Keep your foot in it AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
Pow
TNTMan93 has brought me here.
he meant if we still had the old point system
I was so tense in this race that the wreck happened and it scared me
I also agree with you, Chihuahuaman2.
its the all-star race with 8 laps to go...newman saw an opening and went for it. its prolly why tony wanted newman to race for him
sure, list them for me, it sure wont take long...
one of the best races ever
@TheRooster94 that's true
to the best of my knowledge, they cant get over the fact that Jeff Gordon was kicking Dale Sr's ass before he tragicly passed away
pause it at 0:55... that is beautiful.
this is how it should be at every race
@DaveyMurray1 he wouldnt have back off. there was over 1 million reasons that told him not to back off
I was in the infield at the first turn crying when this happened😂
did u watch texas ?
it was no ones fault, gordon got lose and tried to correct it but unfortunatley busch and newman were there, newman bounced off the wall and hit busch and gordon was there, its racing, on to the 600
Agreed. But years before this it was even better! Man Brian... LOL
