  • Lian Li finally released the 12vhpwr adapter for the Strimer series.
    Overview and installation -
    TLDR: Actual adapter cable is HUGE and THICK, be aware before purchasing this that the adapter will fit in your case. Cases that have a smaller width will have difficulty fitting this. Actual RGB cable is very long too, which depending on your needs can be a good/bad thing.

    Nvidea really took the piss with this cable and how big these GPUs are getting, I would deffo get a 90 degree adapter but of course it depends whether or not that’ll fit on said gpus

    • @Mdntech3000
      @Mdntech3000  Год назад +1

      Yea it’s really annoying, In hindsight I was lucky enough to go with a bigger case. It’s definitely shitty that the majority of the adapter cables are gigantic.

  • @chyhart
    @chyhart 10 месяцев назад +2

    They didn't F up the strimmer orientation, if you were running the strimmer up over the top of your GPU then it would be oriented right. You have the option to flip it so you can choose which direction you want to install the strimmer....

    • @Mdntech3000
      @Mdntech3000  10 месяцев назад

      I know, it’s mostly a comment in jest. In this case the way Asus orients the gpu connection is the issue lol.

    I have the vertical GPU mount, same case Lian Li Lancool 3 and an Asus TUF Gaming 4070TI. With the vertical GPU mount you have a lot better choices for good esthetics for setting the Streamer Plus GPU cable. I think you should consider getting the GPU Vertical kit. Cooling is also better with a vertical GPU

    • @user-qb1nk1ey2d
      @user-qb1nk1ey2d 7 месяцев назад

      @@MaxOwnez you need a 12vh to 3 8 pin, then you can just use 2 of the 3 8 pins since 300w are enough power for a 4070 ti.
      By the way, vertical mounting is presumably worse for cooling than hotizontal. Your bottom fans throw fresh air directly at the gpu intakes, helping with refreshing.

      The last build I did including a 4070ti has (zotac) had 3 x 8. If the one you have only has 2 x 8, then what you said should be fine…I’m not entirely sure though….you could get the 12+4 to 12+4 if your psu has that cable already though.
