Thank you all so much for watching! I recently released some merch through teespring and it would mean a lot if you could check it out and comment to let me know what you think. Also if you have any suggestions feel free to reply as well. Link: builds-with-v.myteespring.co
I also just orderd these to my GPU and and the 24-pin to my new build cuz of your video, great to know that you dont ”have” to plug it into the motherboard but instead just run it with the little controller that came with it, cuz my motherboard would’nt have had enough RGB-Headers:)) so thx alot, i owe you a subscription :P
Thanks for the super video. You’re a lifesaver. This is one of the best RGB installation videos that I have ever seen, so thanks again...... keep up the great work.
You gained a sub simply because no PC build tutorial could help me find where to connect my SATA cable 😂 but your random video that showed up in my recommendations did !!
You saved me with your video, I'm Brazilian, I was looking for videos like yours in several places, you taught that if we use the board vertically, we should invert the RGB side, and that's what I was looking for, thanks, I already liked it !
Thank you so much for this video! It’s extremely well-made. I had two quick questions: 1. Can you skip the ARGB cable and only have the SATA plugged in if your motherboard does not support ARGB? 2. If your GPU has a single 8-pin port, can you remove half of the cables and reposition the remaining to be in the center of the LED strips? Thanks!
Thanks so much. Yes you can plug in only the sata cable and everything will work and yes you can move the 8-pin to be centered and only use half of it.
I just got these and installed them today. Thanks for making this video as it helped me flip around the RGB cable for my GPU. I had no trouble getting the 24 pin to work, but couldn't figure out why my triple 8 pin cable was backwards and how to fix it without breaking anything. It's all back together and looks awesome. Good luck to anyone else installing these, it's worth it if you are an RGB enthusiast.
@@spawn7899 It has all the standard LED colors and several different patterns. White is an option and for each color you can choose a pattern, the speed of that pattern and the brightness. This is if you use the controller that comes with the strimers. You can also connect it to your motherboard and control it through software which should allow you to make your own custom color, although at the cost of using the excellent patterns that are designed explicitly for the strimers.
THANK YOU! I didn’t know the rgb came off of the cables! know thinking back i’m dumb, but sitting here at nearly 1 AM trying to figure out if 180 degree adapters are the move. i have an EVGA 3080 and it has a 24 pin, but lian li has a 24 pin one, but ever since i got it i had to make it weird since it has standard pins the have the clip at the bottom. thank you sir!
Most detailed and informative video, yet simple to understand. Amazing job, mate. Thank you for showing both the controller and software side of thigs.
Thanks for the help. Everyone else just shows them working, we know what they look like and bought them because of that. Its nice to see how they hook up and options of hooking them up..
Amazing video, however with the controller being inside my case, hard to access it for the buttons so even though it is better, I can imagine using the MOBO software would be far more convenient.
Thanks for the video guide of flipping the connectors - made me realise i want to get this working with my factory PSU Cables so i can avoid extensions but keep the lighting :D
Another great video, now, don’t slow down 😁 I am a little confused. You stated that you can simply connect the SATA for power, and you made it seem like there was no need to connect ANY of the RGB cables. But, if you did not, you would not be able to control any of the lights/colours, right? Or would that simply be done via the controller?
Thank you 🙏 so the only cable needed is the sata power cable. The lighting is controlled with the controller. Optionally you can also connect the addressable RGB cable so you can switch from controller to software control (if you wanna mess with more lighting effects).
Hello! Thanks for your video, very helpfull! That extra cable you showed for the 8-pin cable was the answer I was looking for haha I'm getting the 8-pin only. Thanks!
Hey man, dude video! I recieved the cables aswell today for my build in the Lian Li o11 xl my case when the gpu connectors x3 8pin working? (waiting 3090)
Man I swear during the whole video I though Matt Daemon was explaining to me how to plug strimer plus V2 😂😂 Your voice and the way you talk is just exactly the same it's crazy
Bro thanks for the video! I bought the products LITERALLY after finishing you video. I had a lot of doubt about the compatibility, but thanks to your efforts on this video, I have 0 questions in my mind right now. Also horizontal vs vertical cpu cable part was very useful, i will change my vertical gpu to the horizontal one. Thanks again!
the laugh on the end when says ; i know allot of people dont care for rgbs but (then the laugh) i do , had me laughing so hard cuz i can relate 100% to that xD thx for the vid and information :)
Great video ! I’m going to buy some ASAP. I just bought 1,000 dollars worth of RGB Corsair QL Fans and now I need these cables. Your Build looks good. Mine’s gonna have 14 case fans with a mix of 120mm,140mm & 200mm RGB Fans. It’s going to look like the Sun. I have an Aorus z590 Mobo with 9 fan headers so will use splitters or whatever it takes to put all these fans inside. Push pull on the NZXT 360 Radiator. View 51 TG Snow case has tons of room and lots of space in the back to hide the cables.
That’s going to look amazing! Thanks for sharing and if you don’t mind sharing a photo of the build when it’s setup feel free to dm me on Instagram @buildswithv
I came here hoping you’d demonstrate flipping the cables. Thanks man. I have these on my Strix OC 2080ti that has the clips facing up. On my other rig I have a EVGA 3080ti and it has the clips facing down. Now I know how to to flip it. I wish I could control these with iCue.
Great vid, wanted to double check to see where I had to put the controller because I think it’s annoying that you have to take your case panel off to change the color
On my most recent build I stuck it inside my case with some adhesive. It’s easier than taking the back panel off since I don’t have to move the pc to take the front panel off but i can’t find a better spot
Great video man! FYI Lian li do have their own software for the strimmer and fans called L-Connect 3. You can control all cables and fans through that software,
Another side note is if you hooked both the 24 pin and dual 8 pin into the controller from the 24pin, then plug that controller into your motherboard head, and then hold M1, or maybe M2... or one of the buttons, itll sync both with your motherboard
Thank you all so much for watching! I recently released some merch through teespring and it would mean a lot if you could check it out and comment to let me know what you think. Also if you have any suggestions feel free to reply as well. Link: builds-with-v.myteespring.co
Did you buy 2 lian li RGB just like in this video ?
@Haziq Kel don't buy it bc it's junk bc it's doesn't ever work on Asus motherboards
@@justinedge5061 I’ve used it on Asus motherboard and it worked just fine

"These cables come with the cables"
*hmm yes, the cable here is made of cable*
(Not hating btw this vid was good)
😂😂😂 Made my day. Thanks for watching 😊🙏

Bruh I thought the exact same thing... haha awesome. Nice video though, ofc I'm watching my pc on the desk. Looks cool xD
perhaps the most detailed and clearly explained video I came across in pc building
Nive work V keep it up :)
Thank you so much 😊
Don't get around much?
Thank you for the vertical GPU instructions, the in box slip doesn’t do that great a job!!
Wow I been looking on how to install these. Didn’t know you can just plug them into the PSU cables. Thank you so much for making this video! I subbed!
Glad this helped. Thank you for watching and the sub 😊
Does that mean they don’t need the sata cables?
Thanks for the super video. You’re a lifesaver. This is one of the best RGB installation videos that I have ever seen, so thanks again...... keep up the great work.
probably the only video that shows how its properly installed.

If your mobo doesnt support argb then.... whats the point of buying an argb cable extension? you will pay premium for a simple cable extension
@@ravell2854some mobos don’t have the 5v argb plug, only the 12v which is what he probably means , I have the same issue.

Where I'm kinda confused is the rgb splitter.. do i need that to get the strimmer plus to work?
