Hi Kara! So cool you stopped in Arlington. I live in Memphis and you stopped at my dad’s shop. Rusty is my dad! He called me after you came in and asked if I knew who you were and I said Yes, I follow them! Im so glad they were able to help you and get you back on the road so quickly so you can see that sweet baby! Safe travels!
Rusty is your dad?!?!? Wow! So crazy! I think he knew how much it meant to me based on my tears…but be sure to tell him thank you again for me. He did not have to do that but it was a beautiful reminder that one random act of kindness can have such a big impact on someone! I paid it forward and hope it encourages others to do the same!! 🥰❤️

Awwww Kara he’s adorable!! And as a child free 35 year old woman I admire your decision to possibly not have children it makes those of us who are having the same conversations feel so validated!!
Kara, my husband and I were in the same boat as you. There was not a question that we were having kids when we first met. As time went on, with going back to school, long term travel and career changes, having kids became less of a priority. In the end we have decided we will not be having kids. People are always shocked when I tell them this as I love kids and I am good with kids (I have been told). I have many nieces and nephews that fill up my heart up and that is good enough for me!
There's absolutely nothing wrong with loving children yet choosing not to have your own. I am childless by choice and I have never regretted it. It's a decision only Kara and Nate can make. Together.
I love Kara and Nate together but I also love being able to see their personalities outside of their relationship. I can't watch this until after work so my Mom and I can watch together but I'm soo excited for this one!
Just wanted to say, that I had 2 separate flights today to visit family. Because of you guys, I brought a box of chocolates to both flights, and the flight attendants were ecstatic. Thank you guys for giving the advice and letting me make someone's day! Don't ever change, I watch your videos religiously and hope to travel one day to even half the places that you guys have been!
Kara, I can just imagine you saying "they're not going to want to watch me drive across the country after you just climbed a whole mountain in Africa" but literally YOU MAKE THE VIDEOS. Nate does too, and you have your magic together, but YOU are so wonderful and entertaining and such a good storyteller that I think we'd all watch you do anything!
“I’m not against it, but right now I’m not FOR it” perfectly sums up how I feel about having kids too! We have the option, and can live fulfilling fantastic lives without them 🙌
I am so proud of you for speaking truthfully about not being sure you want to have kids. Every time a woman is brave enough to say that out loud, especially a woman with a big platform, it's one more step away from people seeing women as baby making machines and being horrified if we decide having children isn't the right thing for us or the potential child. Not every woman wants to be a mother, not every woman can be a mother, not every woman should be a mother, and it's about time people stopped judging us for having freedom of choice just because we are women.
It's a VERY mature realization to recognize having children isn't everyone's destiny. That's awesome that Kara and Nate are weighing that option very seriously.
Peggy is a sweetheart!! She called just to check in on you! Look at that kind of kindness, I love it!! See that is the kind of people that make a difference in the world.
Yesssss 😭🤦🏼♀️ or when you just need to call & complain, my dads the best though hands down. Sorry ladies 🤷🏼♀️😂 my dads handicap & has been handicap since a accident & what makes my dad different than yours is he’s only got one 🦵 leg… enough said 🤪💁🏼♀️
Kara, I validate your thoughts and feelings for whether to have a baby or not. I was certain that we would change our minds when we turned 30 and then again at 35 but… the older I got, the more I saw my friends struggle with their kids, money, relationships… and I had be strong in my decision that not having a baby was the right choice despite pressure from society. Hold strong and listen to your gut! I have had a life of freedom, independence, travel, love and not regretting not having a baby at all. I’m now 45. You will know what’s right for you!
Kara's dad🥺 The tire shop guy🥺 Peggy🥺 And Hank🥺 Loved seeing so many beautiful and kind people in this world! 🌎And the video overall was just wholesome🥰
I've never realised this as you're always together in your vlogs, but Kara is definitely the funny one 😂 I have laughed more than usual at this episode
i love that Kara’s accent comes out when she talks to people, it’s adorbs. and the way she cried when Rusty wouldn’t let her pay, she’s such an beautifully kind soul
Man I have never laughed so hard until I watched Kara try to dress and act like Nate for the J.crew portion. I think she nailed it. LOL and then I cried so hard that that sweet man would not take Karas money for her tire. Then there was Peggy who just had to check up on Kara. There are so many nice people out there. Sending all the best wishes to your sister and her precious family.
Also, as someone your same age trying to figure out if I should have kids it's really refreshing to hear someone not be sure, bc I'm not sure. So thank you for being open about that!
This was THE vlog of them all. All of them! Kara you are so heartwarming, thankful and cheerful. You made me smile and laugh at the same time. It was also so awesome seeing you on your own doing you and all the planning and doing finally after so many years. Please more of these. I am going to smile the rest of the day for sure. Congratulations also of course.
I love seeing Kara just being herself. I can relate being emotional when it comes to emotional things lol. I can hardly talk about anything sad, or happy without crying, and her dad is super adorable too! Both when he went there to take care of her tire "Now don't cry Kara" and when she called about the guy not having her pay for her fixed tire "Did you cry?" they were all in comments filled with love. He knows his daughter is just extra in tune with her emotions and supports her for it
girl, i know i'm a year behind 🤣🤣🤣 but watching you doing your solo tour entertainment vlog was absolutely refreshing. and you did a fantastic job and met so many nice and kind people... because you deserve it with your positive attitude. keep on rockin' ✌️🫶
My husband just peeked over my shoulder as I was watching this and said 'she's drinking and driving and talking" with a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face. Oh Kara, I am crying right along with you!!! God is watching over you! Actually having a baby is a personal decision and honestly no one's business but yours and Nate's. I loved going on this trip with you!!
YES! Nothing wrong with choosing to be child free. When I was younger, I thought, sure, yes, I will do the whole kid thing. As I got older (late teens, early 20's, and so on-I'll be 37 in 2 months) I realized while I enjoy other people's kids (I LOVE my nieces and nephew not to mention my non-bio ones), I enjoy my life too much to add my own kid into the mix. There's nothing wrong with choosing to have kids versus choosing not to have kids. It's a personal choice and NO ONE should have to defend said choice. And while I do not feel the need to defend myself, I do offer that I am rewarded enough hearing that my nieces/nephew/friends' kids love spending time with me/us. We're fun. We let kids do what they want (within reason). We talk to them as if they are adults (this is something my husband remembers from his childhood so he's made it a point to never let kids feel like we treat them as just kids). Despite what some people say (I have heard it countless times), your life can be completely fulfilling without having kids. Just do you. If you and Nate are happy with your life as-is, know that that is okay. If you both decide it's time to have kids, that's fine too. Don't let anyone ever make you feel bad about what you decide!
I was having a really bad day until this video, and it’s so nice to see others spreading positivity and light! I love your uploads more than anything but this one was truly special!! Rusty and Peggy’s kindness really put a smile on my face❤️❤️
Great video! And as someone who just celebrated her 20th anniversary in a childfree marriage, we can verify that it's a wonderful, loving life choice of its own, and my husband and I don't "miss" a thing. Based on what I've seen of you as a regular viewer over the last 4 years or so, I'm confident you two will know what's right when it's right.
I completely agree with you, Sarah. My husband and I also decided not to have children. There are lots of children in our lives (a nephew, children of friends) and we don’t feel like we’re missing anything. I’m glad that, more and more, we are living in a time when people’s personal choices are respected. Kara: whatever choice you and Nate will be the right for you and we’ll support it.
Yep, 14 years no kids and it works for us. We are basically obsessed with our niece and nephew but it just didn't ever feel like something we wanted enough and kids deserve to be wanted.
kara ur relationship with ur dad makes me so emotional. he honestly sounds like the most loving man any daughter could ask for. i never got that personally, but seeing other people relationships fills my heart. sending love
Your daddy is the absolute best.. From picking the van up,helping 5mins into your trip, always answering the phone,to just being encouraging no matter the circumstances ❤❤ Mr.Rusty thank you for being a great person and taking care of Kara❤ Ans sheesh Mrs.Peggy wow she called to check on you,you can tell she's a mom and grandma she's got your best interest at heart❤
Just had my first baby at 36 after YEARS of not knowing if I wanted a baby. The only thing I can say is that I have absolutely no regrets about taking my time and traveling the world first. Also, I’m glad I was a solid yes before deciding to become a parent because this is the most challenging phase of life I’ve ever gone through. That being true I have zero regrets. Long story short take your time and wait until it’s a solid yes for you and Nate. If you never get there that’s cool too! Not everyone needs to parent. Nieces and nephews are magic. Congrats to you and your sister 🥰
Wait until teenagehood... I was thinking, "Why you little entitled &%$#@... I could drop kick you for complaining about the internet not being fast enough when I had to go to the library to read actual books for school!" Then I call up my parents and apologize for complaining that they wouldn't drive me to the library when I had a perfectly good bike...
Moments of kindness like you experienced mean so much more these days when everyone seems to be so cold and keep to themselves. Loved seeing you take this trip on with such a positive attitude. Keep it up, Kara!!
Aunties who don't have their own children are the best in my book! I grew up with a couple and so did my children. Throughout all phases of life they have just been the best support and friends!
I feel like we get to know the two of you more personally and hear more of what's inside your head when you're alone, since now we're the other person with you. It's an interesting change and I like it! Keep the videos coming!
Aww Kara!! Such a beautiful vlog, we were smiling so hard at the end of it. You make us laugh 😂Hank is a BEAUTY! And well done for spending the night alone, i know how scary it can be when you've done every other night with Nate! Trooper ❤️🙌🏻
I’m really glad to see Kara being independent and experiencing some solo trips. I always get a lil anxious doing trips alone. But afterwards, makes me feel so strong.
How much do we love Kara's dad?! I can't recall if Kara has brother(s) but LOVE how he handles (potential) tears in reaction to anything. Good man, but we knew that...
I never comment on videos, but I just want to thank you for being vulnerable in talking about being okay not having kids. As someone who is also in the same boat it’s refreshing to see! Keep on thriving ❤️
Kara, I'm very proud of you. You didn't "skip a beat"...You took this stretch of this adventure by yourself. I'm so glad your dad was there when you discovered your tire was low...to that very kind and generous man in the Arlington tire store and finally Peggy, just " checking on you" on that dark road heading to your night stay. ( You were surrounded by love and sweet angels along your route.- ) Awesome!!♥️♥️♥️
Thank you Kara for being so sensitieve and showing us that crying is okay, even if it's about little things in life. Representation is so important. So from the bottom of sobbing heart, thank you ❤
The modeling of the clothes, acting in place of Nate was hilarious. Congrats on your cute nephew. You guys would be awesome parents but love you no matter what your decision is.
The fact that that random man wouldn't let you pay, shows you being a genuinely good person "pays off" only reason I quote that is because if you are, you don't have to try! Beautiful moment ❤
Kara.... I want you to know how much I appreciate you saying that you are not sure you want children. Sooo many people just assume everyone does or should, and that's wrong. It's OK to not want kids. The hardest part, to me, is the stigma that people put on those of us who don't want to be parents. It's not selfish to not have children. It's responsible if that's the best option for you. I applaud you and Nate considering all the things. It's ok to love other people's children, but send them home when you've had your fill. lol
Aw your dad is amazing, "don't cry," he knows you and it is so apparent he loves his baby girl! Great video! Sending love from Denton TX! Ahhh! I had to edit this comment; what a blessing you found in that shop that fixed your wheel! I love seeing the good in the world through your eyes! I'd cry too. Wow!
Kara your dad sounds like the sweetest person on the planet, also I definitely would've cried as much or more than you if I was solo so very relatable. Can't wait to watch the episode on Nate's first marathon!!
i've always been a firm believer in "everything you put out into the universe comes back to you" and you always are so sweet and caring and kind to everyone you meet, and it came back to you in the form of arlington & peggy
Being overwhelmed by kindness is the best way to be overwhelmed. I’m so glad they helped you out and were so nice. You deserve all the kindness in the world Kara!
Ryan and Aylyn in Colorado here! 13 Years together and happily child free by choice! Loving your series! We have watched every episode from the beginning and are now finally caught up with you in real time. Congrats on your nephew! He's a cutie! We love being the cool aunt and uncle.
Me and my husband have been together for nearly eleven years and we’re one of the final members of each of our families to not have children and sometimes our families get more offended that we don’t want to have children. We’ve been watching your guys channel from the beginning for the last two months and it’s really inspired us to make going and traveling a priority instead of something we just talked about and thought would happen one day. Even if that’s traveling to a city in the US we’ve never been to is making all the hard work we do worthwhile. With those dreams of traveling coming to fruition having children is becoming an even distant thought than ever before. It’s a great thing we enjoy each other’s company and can’t wait to keeping every day of the rest of our lives together.
Oh Kara this is the most emotional video, the angels are watching you during this trip. Those amazing people you met just made me cry and seeing you alone made me more emotional but you did amazing..
I lost my daddy four years ago. I'd call him for everything....when you said 'hey daddy' it just made me lose it. I'm so glad your tire was fixed by honest people. Cherish the folks you love! 💕
Been watching for a long time but my first comment. Love your adventures The kindness of strangers warms my heart. If we all pass along the kindness, this world would definitely be a better place. Congratulations to the addition of a new baby to your family. Merry Christmas
I love seeing the solo travels. I’ve been in my relationship with my boyfriend for almost 5 years now and am doing mini solo trips in the U.S. Learning to be independent and be in a relationship is strange but I absolutely love it. I’m learning stuff about myself I never knew before. And it’s so amazing to watch Kara also go on solo trips. It makes me feel less alone and that I can be a strong woman and solo travel!
Kara your dad seems like the sweetest man on earth, loved hearing you guys interact. So much kindness in this video is sure to inspiring so many! I believe God had a plan with that tire! I felt the same way about kids until my sister made me a aunt and I started to see it more for myself. If its now, in 5 years or never trust in Gods plan for you and Nate. Children are truly a gift from God and what a blessing little Hank is!
The childfree life has been perfect for us. So much more freedom for travel, experiences, sports cars, early retirement, early paid off house, the list goes on. Definitely enjoying just being the cool aunt and uncle.
Kara and her dad? Oh hell yea, your dad is awesome Kara. Congrats for the newlyweds and new baby. Best wishes and health. God bless that tire shop, I would have cried too. Shocked the first shop didn't notice.
I already knew I liked Kara but seeing you travel alone my fan girl status went just that much higher. Your dad is precious, the tire man is gold and Peggy is a saint and of course that cute baby is heaven. Loved everything about this trip!!
Aw, the pure joy on your face when you saw your nephew was just wonderful. I'm so glad your road trip gave you encounters with such generous, thoughtful people. Thanks for sharing.
Kara, I have been watching your channel FOR YEARS and seriously, this video makes me feel like I have gotten to know you so much better, like I gained a years worth of knowledge about you. It was great! You are such a fun, funny, and sweet person!
Kara, you are an absolute inspiration. I have so many goals in life (full time travel being a huge one!), but I've always felt that my time to achieve them has been limited, that I'd have to squeeze all these plans into a few short years before settling down to start a family. Only a few months ago did I come to the realisation that I don't have to; I can live my life, for myself, for as long as I want. It's been the biggest relief, recognising that (contrary to popular belief) I don't have some biological timeframe counting down the days until I have to give these dreams up. There is so much stigma around women choosing not to have children, so hearing you speak up about it as even a possibility for you and Nate is so inspiring. Thank you for speaking about it so openly.
As a travel nurse also from the southeast who travels by myself all the time, it’s so nice to see another woman struggling but succeeding to do it all by herself! Also, I wish nothing but the best for youuuuu lyrics go perfectly here 😂
I think a lot of people have learned in this pandemic that space is essential for a couple to be able to provide their relationship with the rejuvenation and reinvention it needs from time to time. It's like a reboot. Hope the absence made the heart grow even fonder!
Thank you so much for saying what you did about kids. Knowing you have a huge platform and that it will get across to some people is wonderful for people like myself who doesn't want children. CONGRATS ON BEING AN AUNTY! I just became one last month too! Flying to England from Canada to meet her THIS SATURDAY!
This was just what I needed today. Started the day grouchy with a long list of complaints to deal with at work but the guys at the tire shop, sweet Peggy, your amazing Dad, and that adorable Hank turned my frown upside down. Thanks for a great video, Kara!
I just stopped in because I saw you were heading from Nashville. I don’t have any intention or desire to travel alone, but I have daughters that do so I will pass to you the #1 advice a friend of mine gave me that he instills in his Daughter as well. Ever since then I have Always made sure that I keep nitrogen in my tires instead of air. You don’t ever have to worry about the tires fluctuating air pressure (in cold and warm weather) and if it does go down, you can bet it needs to looked at. Also, so glad you found Arlington, TN and got food while you were there. I don’t like to go to Memphis by myself, so I try not to. I suppose the crime rate is high in most major cities. Glad you found a trustworthy someone to let you spend the night where you were safe. Safe travels. ❤️
The store with the farm fresh goods and honor system...and how nice were the farm owners! The trip may have been a little eventful but it's always great to come across awesome people. And there is no rush to have kids until you're really ready if at all, that is a huge commitment (and not for everyone).

@@TheShauNanigans I found a box of Russell Stovers assortment chocolates, and I figured the crew could just share them
Kara, I can just imagine you saying "they're not going to want to watch me drive across the country after you just climbed a whole mountain in Africa" but literally YOU MAKE THE VIDEOS. Nate does too, and you have your magic together, but YOU are so wonderful and entertaining and such a good storyteller that I think we'd all watch you do anything!
“I’m not against it, but right now I’m not FOR it” perfectly sums up how I feel about having kids too! We have the option, and can live fulfilling fantastic lives without them 🙌
Hi 👋 friend, can I talk to you for a moment?
Oh, goodness, yes. I’m a Mom and grandmother….and, oh, yeees you can.
Doing something on your own is so empowering. Way to go, Kara!
So true!💪🏻💪🏻
Kara crying about them not letting her pay exceeds my "wholesome content" meter today. ❤️❤️❤️
When your dad said, “Here’s what we gotta do, don’t cry” I felt that
It's a VERY mature realization to recognize having children isn't everyone's destiny. That's awesome that Kara and Nate are weighing that option very seriously.
Yes yes yes! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Absolutely
Peggy is a sweetheart!! She called just to check in on you! Look at that kind of kindness, I love it!! See that is the kind of people that make a difference in the world.
I love that even in our 30s our Daddys have always got our backs when we need help on the side of the road haha. ❤❤
PTL🙌🏻
We're dads thats our job.
@@todd4335 two thumbs up for the dads like you, thanks!!
Yesssss 😭🤦🏼♀️ or when you just need to call & complain, my dads the best though hands down. Sorry ladies 🤷🏼♀️😂 my dads handicap & has been handicap since a accident & what makes my dad different than yours is he’s only got one 🦵 leg… enough said 🤪💁🏼♀️
@@HughMadBro my dad is missing his left leg and has been wheel chair bound since they did his hip replacement a few years ago.
I went to check out Arlington automotive and the amount of love and 5 star reviews that are there from this video is amazing and truly heart warming!
This is why i love the south. Everyone is so kindhearted
Kara's dad🥺
The tire shop guy🥺
Peggy🥺
And Hank🥺
Loved seeing so many beautiful and kind people in this world! 🌎And the video overall was just wholesome🥰
The first thing she was singing was “I wish nothing but the best for youuuuuuuu tooooo” (someone like you- Adele)
I've never realised this as you're always together in your vlogs, but Kara is definitely the funny one 😂 I have laughed more than usual at this episode
😂😂😂 same here, lol. 🥰🥰 She made my Wednesday. ,🥰.
Peggy seems like the fairy godmother every solo traveler needs ❤️
i love that Kara’s accent comes out when she talks to people, it’s adorbs. and the way she cried when Rusty wouldn’t let her pay, she’s such an beautifully kind soul
I'm the same age and I got my tubes tied. Child free/awesome aunt is DEFINITELY a valid option!
Same here Mary 🙌🏼
This was THE vlog of them all. All of them! Kara you are so heartwarming, thankful and cheerful. You made me smile and laugh at the same time. It was also so awesome seeing you on your own doing you and all the planning and doing finally after so many years. Please more of these. I am going to smile the rest of the day for sure. Congratulations also of course.
It’s so cool to hear Kara’s southern accent come through a little stronger after spending some time at home. ❤️
It’s true 🤠
This is the most supportive answer, bravo
I could drop kick you for complaining about the internet not being fast enough when I had to go to the library to read actual books for school!"
Then I call up my parents and apologize for complaining that they wouldn't drive me to the library when I had a perfectly good bike...
This comment is everything!!
This video made me miss my dad so much! I love your relationship with your dad Kara treasure him while you have him!
I’ll keep that in mind when he is being weird and annoying 🥰 Seriously though he’s pretty great!
Lost mine recently, so I totally agree 👍
I feel like we get to know the two of you more personally and hear more of what's inside your head when you're alone, since now we're the other person with you. It's an interesting change and I like it! Keep the videos coming!
Aww Kara!! Such a beautiful vlog, we were smiling so hard at the end of it. You make us laugh 😂Hank is a BEAUTY! And well done for spending the night alone, i know how scary it can be when you've done every other night with Nate! Trooper ❤️🙌🏻
Tnc
I’m really glad to see Kara being independent and experiencing some solo trips. I always get a lil anxious doing trips alone. But afterwards, makes me feel so strong.
My thoughts too !! She’s brave ♥️
This alone time with Kara feels like big sister talks, I really love it
How much do we love Kara's dad?!
When your dad said .. "ok don't cry, but" ... I FELT THAT. Anything to do with the car, good or bad, makes me cry too! I get it!
Thank you Kara for being so sensitieve and showing us that crying is okay, even if it's about little things in life. Representation is so important. So from the bottom of sobbing heart, thank you ❤
As soon as you started crying about the good deed I started crying 😭 ❤️ loved the vlog!
Glad I wasn’t alone 😭😭😭
Girl, Same!!!!! 😭
Saaaame 😭
I’m not normally an emotional guy but just seeing Kara cry because of the goodness of one random persons kindness really hit me hard. 😭
i've always been a firm believer in "everything you put out into the universe comes back to you" and you always are so sweet and caring and kind to everyone you meet, and it came back to you in the form of arlington & peggy
Kara's accent getting stronger when she's home is the sweetest. She embodies the essence of Southern charm.
I love how Kara just naturally slips into her southern accent when talking to locals 😀
Another daddy's girl here. 8 feel ya
❤️
I just lost my dad last week. I'm so lost without him.
Been watching for a long time but my first comment. Love your adventures The kindness of strangers warms my heart. If we all pass along the kindness, this world would definitely be a better place. Congratulations to the addition of a new baby to your family. Merry Christmas
Thank you Gail 🥰❤️
Its so cute how she still calls her dad daddy!😍
Kara is so tender hearted and it’s just the sweetest thing to see. Keep being 100% you, girl!
Agree. 😊😉
I traveled for 5 years, i loved it. But having kids over traveling is the best choice i ever made...for me. But a sacrifice. And not for everyone.
I traveled the most after I had my kids. They mostly came with.
Same.
Yes! So happy not to have kids lol. No offense to anyone that has children of course.
Kara and her dad? Oh hell yea, your dad is awesome Kara. Congrats for the newlyweds and new baby. Best wishes and health.
God bless that tire shop, I would have cried too. Shocked the first shop didn't notice.
I love how u still call ur dad daddy ur like never to old for a daddy that’s amazing
Kara, its beautiful to see you being by yourself, strong and having a great time... like Nate!
Okay, well, now I'm crying. This was such a fun and heartfelt video, Kara! You and your dad are truly some of the kindest humans.
Also, I wish nothing but the best for youuuuu lyrics go perfectly here 😂
So excited to see Kara on her own adventure!!
It's a very important message to spread and severely underrated moment in this video yeah. Not having kids IS OKAY.
