- How to make delicious honey chicken at home. This Chinese recipe is very easy to make. You need two chicken breasts, garlic, ginger, corn starch, one cup of flour, marinated the chicken in water, garlic and ginger and then make the batter with the two eggs, 3 spoons of corn starch and one cup of flour. fry the chicken and then make the sauce. Made this tonight per my 8 year Olds request. He helped and honestly, it came out pretty good. Extremely sweet, as it is when u go out, but not bad at all. He loved it, his brothers liked it and I think we will make it again. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

I used ketchup in the sauce, and it definitely tasted more like sweet and sour sauce at that point. For a honey sauce, I personally prefer to use just honey, a little soy sauce, and a little garlic powder. If you cook that down some, it’ll thicken on its own. Still, the chicken turned out great. I mean phenomenal! I just happen to prefer a different sauce on my chicken than what is shown here. 👍
