Thank you for this insight. I still am somewhat conflicted but I did lean towards this position. Our identity is not based on our sexual preferences. And the power of Christ will naturally begin to change us into that which he wants us to be.
I hope that our church does allow a more practical approach of letting those with these issues participate in church service more often.

Someone who still has same sex attractions who believes he's no longer gay is like a biological male saying he's no longer a man because he decided to he doesn't like labels anymore
