Hello Kendra, l have not heard you say anything of the sorts that you earnestly sought the Lord and waited for His answer. Instead you have made several decisions to 'find' God by looking to people: You joined a fundamentalist group and you were disappointed, you went to divinity seminary but still did not find God, you read a lady's book which caused you ro find your true bisexsual self. ???
Based on what you have said, it is evident that your journey has been riddled with uncertainty and low confidence and are unable to find your worth as a being made in the image of God. I strongly suggest that you take time out to earnestly seek to truly find God on a personal level before you jump to attack the Church's policies on LGBT.
Unfortunately you have been living out an institutional faith that have resulted in your challenge position at this time.
You said Ĝod is blessing you but the bible tells us that He cannot bless a self-righteous mind. Be mindful that gaining a blessing of followers and money and opportunities while living in fornication and disobedience is not coming from Yaweh or Yeshua.
Please be willing and patient to listen to God through is word and guarantee you will find your true identity and worth in Him.
Please be careful to surrender your raw emotions and your narrow view of SDA as a lot more maturity is needed on your part.
Blesings on you if this have been good counsel for you.

Kendra, how do you define fundamentalist? I’ve been curious about this term, especially of it’s usage inside of Adventism

We are made in His Image. We are sanctified in His Spirit. God is Love. God is Truth. He is Holy!!!

The church will split like the Methodist. If you are ready for this, then continue with on this path. I will pray for all Adventists, Jesus Christ is coming soon. Your salvation doesn’t depend on a building. 10 virgins, all fall sleep. But 5 virgins were woke in their own delusions.

She can believe what she wants. Others don't need to believe it and vice versa.
But her method of interpretation I thar God is not final in what he says. But he updates it by personal experiences. Not prophets or something. I agree God does not answer everything directly through the bible. But the way to verify updates or nuances is very tricky for her to be this confident.

I really tried to listen but her interpretation methods were quite lacking. She said (in jest) that Lev 18 doesn’t mention women so lesbianism is ok. Well, if we take that seriously then when we look at the fourth commandment in Exodus 20, it does not mention husband and wife are to keep the sabbath holy, only son, daughter, male servant, maid servant, cattle or stranger.
I always find that the justification of the affirming side is rooted in emotionalism and lacks careful scriptural consideration. I am sure that Kendra has given this much thought but you can reason yourself into a lot of evil and immoral things.
If our Lord Himself said that a man shall leave his mother and father and cleave or join himself to his WIFE and the two shall become one flesh, but never mentioned any other ideal, then I am more bound to follow Him than the whims of the current cultural zeitgeist.
One final thing, a loving consensual monogamous homosexual relationship can never represent the relationship between Christ and His church. Paul said Husbands love your wives as Christ loved the Church and gave His life for her. Yes the church is made of men and women, but God through the Holy Spirit revealed that this relation between Christ and His church is like a marriage between one man and one woman.
Sorry for blowing up your comment replies brother, I just wanted to add to what you were saying as well.

No worries. I agree with you. I just don't like how it really seems like we reason to believe what we want to see. Myself included. You can use the absence of what God didn't say to say he says that is okay. I think my biggest concern is God not making things clear or Him knowing how to. So we end up living in more and more confusion until it's all said and done. This ain't fun..this ain't loving God it's boring now. God just clear things up a bit man.

If anyone wants to clarify for me: is "Imago Gei" meant to be a substitute for Imago Dei (image of God)?

SHE WAS BORN IN PANAMÁ??? No wonder I like her so much since Advent Next hehehe...
I'm still not convinced of the idea that homosexuality is ok in God's eyes, BUT, I do know that God's grace is much greater than I can comprehend. I hate it when church members believe they are superior to the LGBTQ+ community and treat them in a clear, ungodly way. The only ppl I saw Jesus "rejecting" were church folks in his day.
I love hearing stories of how God is working individually with different members of the LGBTQ+ community. We will get all the answers when He comes =D (at least for me)

This is what happens when you put your feelings over facts, and your desires over Gods… 16:05

      Facts!!!
The reward for humiliation and suffering is Heaven. Jesus suffered and He also was humiliated. Being a Christian is not a walk in the park. God is Love. And His Love is not warm and fuzzy feelings. He has our best interest at heart. Our best interest is in Him who sanctifies our spirit.

No such thing as an "openly bisexual Adventist" let alone Christian. You either believe Gods word, or dont. People will delude themselves over any sin. We should not tolerate it. Sin is a cancer. Theres a reason many sins, including the one she pridefully accepts, was sentenced to death in the OT.

It's so sad that this is what you got from Kendra's valuable and open sharing of who she is. I hope you reflect on whether someone who is bisexual or gay would see the love of Jesus reflected in how you wrote this.

@@honeybee7855 if you're gay or bisexual then you aren't saved. This person is pretending to be a seventh Day Adventist, they aren't just like a normal gay person, they're claiming that they are apart of God's church but also partaking in sin. If you think what I'm saying is bad oh boy wait until you read the prophets and the Old testament and what they had to say about those who lived in sin and disobeyed God or go read Pauls letters to the churches. Stop projecting your personal feelings into the bible I don't have time for it.

@@xintimidate i've read the prophets and Old Testament. What I do know for sure, is that the spirit you're exhibiting is not of God, because if I WAS lost and needed to hear the truth, how is the manner that you're speaking to me demonstrating love? People don't always remember what you say but they definitely remember your vibe, approach, and whether you project disdain and condescension instead of genuine love and a winsome attitude.

@@honeybee7855 How is justifying sin as a CHRISTIAN and being "tolerant" love? If i didnt love i would simply ignore this person and allow them to live in their delusion. Instead i am warning them bc that is real LOVE. Not your twisted definition. Youre just gonna sit there and allow someone to go to hell bc you wanna be "nice" being nice isnt the only exclusive trait to love and it isnt synonymous as love. If you read the prophets then you clearly didnt understand what you were reading. They called sin out just like the NT tells us to.
