As a former lesbian and now Christian, I can tell you that soooo many people in general have been sexually abused as children, and as adults. And due to that trauma the normal ways it plays out in behaviors and emotions is a person is more likely to abuse drugs and alcohol to numb pain, memories, etc. Often has no sex drive, or hypersexual and sleeps around and has risky sexual exploits with men and women, or you completely swear off the gender whom abused you and form emotional and romantic bonds with the same sex because it's safer. So God didn't make anyone born gay, it is through sin of others and sexual abuse that often creates those nuances in our personalities. Look how we all cope with trauma, either you know someone or are someone struggling with trauma. Only God can bring peace and healing, and although therapy and self development can help, God is the only healing balm we truly have.

I'm also not saying that person A was to test the virtues of person B but to perhaps test society as a collective. Basically, my grandfather's message to us kids was to embrace our differences because in the end its not how much money you made or what career you had that matters, its how you treated others and how others remember you. Ex-bisexual here who was in a 7 year relationship with a woman. Homosexuality of any kind is a choice. When I was a kid, I often found myself staring at the women modeling for bras in the store. It was so instinctual, I couldnt take my eyes off it. Maybe it was a desire to look like them, or to feel them, or idk. Whatever it was, even as a child, I knew it was wrong. I FELT that it was wrong yet I didnt stop myself, it felt good. As I got older and was able to make my own choices, I wasnt in a good place mentally. I slept around, and increasingly made it worse every time and Id try things that maybe Id like until I met my ex. I genuinely felt true love for her, but the love felt...off. It was love, but not the right type of love. I convinced myself that I was just born that way, and to accept myself. However, we broke up and I had a lot of time to think. I married my now husband and found God, but I still struggled with finding women attractive. I did some deep-diving into myself and thought "was this really how I was born? Or was I tempted from the beginning?" As it turns out, I was. Going back to my childhood, yknow I said that it felt wrong when I looked at the bras? Like I wasnt supposed to? Albeit it was a BRIEF feeling, I focused on that feeling. It wasnt because Id get into trouble or Id be embarrassed like I thought it was. It was conviction. As much as I enjoyed what my eyes saw, my heart was screaming at me not to do it, not to look, to behave. I rebelled against that feeling and ended up in a sinful relationship. I was my own god, and I didnt feel that conviction. I was without the Holy Spirit. When I became Christian and actively fought the desire to look at women and fantasize about them, I became stronger and truly fought those urges away. As of today, its only once in a blue moon do I see an attractive woman, but part of the healing process has made me only stare at oddly masculine women, not feminine like I used to enjoy. I look away and pray for strength, and I no longer find that person attractive. Being gay IS a choice, and to those who say its "scientifically proven not to be", those people have decieved themselves down a rabbit hole so far down that they truly believe that you cant "pray the gay away", "its just who I am", "God made me this way". No, we are ALL born with sin, its inherited, and each sin attacks us differently. Gay is lust, and for many, lust is a powerful sin that they cant fight, just as corrupt politicians cant fight their greed, or seriel killers cant fight their wrath, and so on. Couple all that with satan and his demons constantly swarming around those who are without God in their lives, and youre pretty much done for. How can you see what your sinful flaws are when youve been blinded with so much pleasure and self-worship to where you genuinely think theres nothing wrong with you? How arrogant must you be to truly think that God would purposely implant a sin within you while hand-crafting you - therefore making it "okay" to act on it? Pride is such a powerful tranquilizer, where you wont dare bow down to anyone in favor of what pleases you most. for the sake of "This is who I am!". No, it isnt, you're a soul who is lost, blind, and as far as Satan is concerned, you're property destined to suffer with him in Hell. The worst part of it is, when you die and fall, you'll know that it was by your own hand. I dont consider myself bisexual anymore, I consider myself a Christian who is healing from one of the worst cases of lust. God did not make me this way, He gave me free will, and I chose that path just as I now choose THIS path. I love my husband and my eyes are only for him. Ive been healed and I still got some ways to go.

But the rules of what's allowed and not allowed has changed just within Christianity itself, let alone the fact theres 200 + religions. We have free will and a conscience. They go hand in hand. We do right or wrong and reward or punish ourselves for it. And some ppl reward themselves for doing the wrong things and it spirals them towards a negative life, or in other words, hell... The Bible doesn't say Gay, nor homosexual until the early 1900's the word before meant many things, but none are gay. The Bible does say that no man is permitted to judge one another and Jesus's last commandment was to "love each other as I have loved you"
Joe really fell on his own sword here and they cut out Matt Walsh’s response. The short answer is that god tests people with temptation. Same with alcoholism, greed, pedophilia, violence. @@DanBlabbers that’s not a good answer though because gay relationships include consent, and there are no consequences to it unlike your other examples
There is a difference between attraction and temptation. Temptation is resisting something you know is bad for you and either failing or winning against it. Attraction is what God gave us.
1. Human feelings of love and intimacy are the same regardless of sexuality. The same brain chemistry that causes attraction between opposite genders is what causes attraction to the same gender. This is not something we choose, it is an ingrained and unchangeable part of our being just like being a bad singer or very tall.

You dont come in to this world gay. The world around you makes you who you are. Or just your natural likes and dislikes that you yourself have to experiment with to understand yourself. God does not make you gay. Show me a gay baby. Who has not been influenced in any way.
God will accept you however way you come out. Thats why he gave us choice and freedom to be and do whatever we please. God loves you regardless but he did not make you who you are. He made you when you were born but everything else that you decide to become came from you or the world very close to you.

I chose to start a serious relationship with my gf i chose to have a kid i chose what kind of car i drive i choose who im friends with. I choose my likes and dislikes. I choose who to be happy with who to be rude to. I choose who to bless and who to not. We forget that we’re not slaves and have all the power in the world to be whoever we want to be. God is real and he loves you but he does not control your life like you think he does. And no matter what the amazing part of it is he’ll love you regardless. Just know that being gay is a sin that you will have to repent for. Because it was your choice. My grandpa would say that God would create people who were "different" to test our kindness and love for our neighbors. I'm not Christian but those words have stuck with me for years.
Edit: it seems a lot of you interpreted this in different ways. I'm not saying a God exists, like I said I'm not Christian. And "different" can apply to many things, not just sexual orientation. I'm also not saying that person A was to test the virtues of person B but to perhaps test society as a collective. Basically, my grandfather's message to us kids was to embrace our differences because in the end its not how much money you made or what career you had that matters, its how you treated others and how others remember you. We are all different from each other so embracing those differences (as long as it doesn't physically harm others) is important. Treat each other kindly.
im not religious either but this is actually a good point! that almost seems like the ultimate test tbh. to see how kind and understanding you are to people who are still normal good people who aren't hurting anyone, but are just different in some way. good words from your grandpa!
I like that moral/ethical reasoning
Well I believe God made man perfect. But with the ability to choose. Just because you have an inclination towards doing what is a sin in Gods eyes doesn’t mean you have to do it. I’m fact you shouldn’t we should heed the word of God almighty for the fact that one he loves us and if he is telling us to do something it’s for our sake and two because he is all powerful and he has punishment for the ones who don’t consider his word in the way they choose to live.
Or was I tempted from the beginning?"
As it turns out, I was.

Atrazine. Simple answer. The frogs will change sex. Study was done by a black professor at University of California Berkeley.
