Knowing that you’re worthy of being treated better is half the battle.

We should focus on more of what we want in life rather than what we don’t want. Instead of saying “I don’t want to be mistreated” opt for “ I want to be treated with respect” ❤️

A tip I got from a book on CPTSD by Pete Walker: To fight those negative voices, give yourself permission to internally be angry at them and cuss them out. A lot of these voices come from abusive people such as our parents pouring this stuff on us when we were small, vulnerable children with no one to stick up for us. As adults to turn this around in our own heads, cussing those voices off has two benefits: 1)It reminds you that those voices are not yours and they're not welcome in your head 2)A deep vulnerable part of you is finally feeling like someone is sticking up for you -- not staying silent, not being some passive, wimpy enabler. Someone is saying how dare you and fuck off. It was a huge relief for me to read that and it makes total sense to me.

Stephanie, I found you about a year ago, when leaving my marriage of 32 years. I got tired of the narc she had become. As I am going through divorce, and am feeling lost in a desert, I actually check for something new from you daily. Sometimes it’s hard to listen to you, because it hits to close to home. Thank you for doing these videos, you have definitely found your calling.

I went thru the most excruciating painful heartbreak for me to raise my standards and it is working for me, even if I know I risk losing the person I create a bond with, I just know that I want to be loved in a way that is going to make me happy if not then that person is not for me. 😊

This is so encouraging! I have been a subscriber for about a year and its been so beneficial in my life. Thank you for your help!! As someone who had to deal with narcissists more than I'd like to admit, its empowering to know its something that can be healed from. I can say that I'd rather be the empath and take some blows to my sensitivity than be that which hurts me. My strength is my sensitivity and I embrace that for the first time in my life. Your coaching has helped me see the good in myself and others and speak that out even more.

Your videos helped educate me on narcissism and recovery, I was emotionally and physically abused during an 8 year marriage. Thank you. Today I have listened to 3 of your coaching sessions. Thank you, my life now has a direction. My level of empathy has been distressing me to the point of isolation. My levels of self esteem has been below zero. Both lifelong. A few days ago I cried so much with years of self-loathing and confusion as to who I am and how to deal with the daily sudden stabs from narcissists. I had never heard of my "ego", I thought it was me. Now I am aware that it's actually not real. I feel as though a light has been shone. I know now that tomorrow I will be able to face going to work and I will genuinely be a person, myself. I have just created a RUclips account so that I can subscribe to you. I am so grateful and I know that my family will be too. Thank you, I hope you genuinely know what an incredible positive life-changing difference you are creating, thank you for helping me and so many others. Best wishes

Sometimes, tragedy can reinforce poor habits and drive us further into despair. I would say that pain is an opportunity to evaluate our current way of living, thinking, feeling, etc. But, ultimately, it is our choice to create change. It has to come from within, or else it won't be long lasting.

Hi Stephanie, I found your channel about a month ago and realize that I am continuing to think, behave, and make choices In the same unproductive ways that have plagued me my entire life. I have been in cognitive behavioral therapy and haven’t done much growing. I think life coaching is the way I need to go and I’d like to have a session with you to see if is a better way for me to change myself and my life. Thanks for everything that you do - I get hope and strength from your videos.

I’d love to have a session. I’m leaving a relationship I’ve had many times and it keeps repeating. I’m tired and it took toll on my health and creativity. I realized it’s me who has to change her self belief.

I went through that guy-wrenching experience last year where the guy I was dating basically was manipulating me. From that experience I realized I was seeking my self-worth in men and chose to stay single & focus on myself. I even let go recently of a toxic 5-year friendship. I’m the happiest I’ve been.

Amen!!! I was in a relationship with a VERY narcissistic girl. I caught her cheating and then she had her mom come outside and dump me all in the same day. I was in total shock. I was depressed for days. I begged and begged to get her back not realizing I didn't do anything wrong. I didn't deserve that. Nor did I deserve it the first time she cheated...going through something like this forced me to self reflect and to rediscover being happy being alone...raise the bar in every aspect of your life and the results will follow

You are a fabulous speaker, very insightful. I love how you build on the concept of standards to obtain a higher level of self worth. I wish I had learned this as a child! Thank you for saying that! Awesome, organized, to-the-point speaking style. Please include me in the free session lottery.

    Yes, Stephine, u nailed it.
Have been recovering for some time now and on this vid;, at the 5:48 mark is where i am still experiencing a challenge. Yet, i know what to do to change mood now:
Fighting off ALL THOSE THOUGHTS at 5:30 am and differentiate what is FEAR and what is REALITY of today's agenda.
It was comforting and an AH HA for you to mention the above on your Self Worth vid.
    Thx Steph!

I would love a free session with you. I always find your insight helpful. I'm in the first few weeks of living alone after having an emotional abuser removed from my home via a PPO. 10 years it took me to realize things were not 'right'. I'm now on the road to recovery.

I have to clean out the martial home in order to be able to move out & on from 28+ years of being married to an abusive narcissist. I took a week off to clean. I'm constantly fighting my myself to be motivated to do it. I keep reminding myself that you have to do it so you can move forward to the best chapter of your life.
