I'm currently read a book on Jackie Robinson, so far I understand he went through hell and back on and off the field and he's left his mark on the baseball world where pretty much everyone wants to strive to be like him

Jackie was an intelligent man and i hope that don't "ghetto" him. He was a 4 letter man at UCLA and he was an officer in the US Army. He had the high voice that they don't bring to the screen and i hope like heck that they bring to the screen the man and not just worry about his color. Pee Wee was a good man and we lost something when we lost these two fine gentleman. Both had dignity, grace and class.God given ability and the will to win. God bless Rachel. She's always been quite a lady.

Golly his wife is still stunning. Don't think people really appreciate or know about Jackie. What a gorgeous man who knew how to play the game better than most than any other. I am just sad cause he had to go through to became Jackie Robinson encountered the horrible times of the day. God bless you, Mr. Robinson. Tomorrow is Jackie Robinson Day - everyone is number is 42!

+sportsygirl8 me too! Very excited on how the Cubs are playing even though the Cardinals are my team. Do you have a favorite team?

Elaine Snow Me too, the Cubs played so well last season too, I was surprised that they beat the Pirates out of the wild card. I remember a lot of people were saying Back to the Future 2 is going to be right that the Cubs win World series. Which ended up not happening, ironic though, Back to the Future day was the day the Mets advanced to the World Series. My favorite team is the Pirates, but I also like a lot of others. Cards are always a great team and fun watching them play the Bucs.
