      Ok, chris, fair enough. Then here it is. Rose was the most overrated player of all time. ALL Rose accomplished was get a bunch of singles and only because he played forever. He is the all time leader in at bats by a large margin. In other words, he should lead every offensive category. In all of them he is down the list. Some WAY down. Look it up.

    • @joez203
      @joez203 5 лет назад

      @chris klein Rose was an above average player. Probably not a great one and certainly not one of the greatest of all time. An AVERAGE year for Rose was .303/6HR/50 RBI. Not much of a glove or arm. ZERO speed and power. Again, Rose was the all time leader in at bats by far. The only all time category he leads in is most hits. Oh and one more: Rose made the most outs in baseball history. he leads that category by a mile and a half.

Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, ALex Rodriquez, Roger Clemens, Miguel Tejada, and Rafael Palmeiro are just a few high profile players caught cheating - WHILE PLAYING - and yet their records and paycheck have not suffered! Doctored baseballs, the designated hitter, and so many other changes have rendered baseball but a shadow of what it was up through the '60s. @roland7584 2 года назад

      @@Toutvids He didn't bet every single Reds game, so that in itself is like a bet against the team on those nights, and quite possibly he overused players the game before to try to win because he had a bet on it, so he knew the next game was compromised. Or maybe he didn't want to bet on a particular game because he knew the game after was more favorable if he just sat certain players or pitchers and rested them for the game after when he did bet. The whole betting thing stinks. He owed bookies so much money so who knows how this would have turned out had he not gotten caught.

    Nobody is even close to Rose's hits total. It seemed like Rose hit a double and scored in every ballgame . He's top 5 all time in doubles and runs scored. If a player had 200 hits every year for 20 seasons , he still wouldn't have as many hits as Rose. He was an All Star at 5 positions, because he was unselfish and would do whatever the manager asked him to do to help the team win. He would get the runner over, sacrifice if he needed to , and was a smart base runner. Rose played all out all the time and hardly ever got injured. He was a hardcore baseball player and a winner
