I love this stuff. Best gasket maker I’ve found. I’ll try your way of just leaving the cap where it is after you turn it the first time. Trying to close it and open it every time gets it out of wack and causes problems. Today, I had the top come completely off and wasted a whole tube. Couldn’t stop it from coming out. This stuff is expensive as hell. I was pissed. Ended up with this big blob of The Right Stuff on my work bench. Wish I would have seen your video months ago

RTV is great stuff, but I am amazed at how many companies can't properly spec a cap. All but one brand that I have used punch out the top out of their caps when they are tightened down. And no not tightened excessively . If I was a skeptic I would conclude that these companies spec their caps so that the cap breaks and insures that you need to buy more product prematurely. Permatex is the only brand that I've used that doesn't punch out the top of its cap.

I'll have to try this one min one. I used the 90min one today and after 2 hrs it was still wet. It was a dry day here in Cali about 70 to 80.

I used the red one and it’s still tacky after a couple minutes but after maybe 20 mins it’s getting solid already

i tried it, it dries so fast, i dont have to wait 24 hours for silicone to dry completely
