    When I used it I let it settle for about an hour then tightened and went on my way. Unlike other where you tighten and wait a day.

    • @NameItBuildIt
      @NameItBuildIt  3 месяца назад +1

      You definitely don’t have to wait a day. I just did to make sure that there wasn’t gonna be a Problem down the road, plus didn’t need to use right away. I believe it tells you right on the package how long you have to wait before you can use it and like you said it’s not long. 😎

    Used it on my car oil pan. Its a must for me. I usually drive the car 4 hrs after as opposed 24 hrs after. I probbably could do it sooner. It forms a better seal than even a gasket for the oil pan.

    I have a small engine repair shop. The Right Stuff is the only gasket maker I use. I’ve tried everything and nothing beats it. It’s expensive as hell but worth every penny. When I’m working I’ve got to finish a job and jump on the next one. I don’t have time to wait for gasket maker to cure. I need to try the can he uses in this video. I’ve been using the one with the plastic trigger. It’s OK but this looks much easier to use

    Will this get hard in the can if all of it is not used at One time saying is it reusable

    • @NameItBuildIt
      @NameItBuildIt  4 года назад +2

      I used the whole can at one time so I can’t answer that. Try asking permatex, they should know 😎

    Can you apply this stuff and then put a gasket on top of it?

    • @NameItBuildIt
      @NameItBuildIt  3 года назад +2

      Why would you do that?

    • @Charkatak
      @Charkatak 3 года назад +2

      @@NameItBuildIt I have no experience in this, so was just asking. So basically I would need to use this gray stuff instead of the actual gasket OR get the gasket and apply a sealer?

    • @NameItBuildIt
      @NameItBuildIt  3 года назад +3

      No. You would use this alone if you need to or only a gasket if your application had a gasket. You must clean the surfaces first perfectly, without scratching them, before doing either.

      @@NameItBuildIt think it’s safe to use on a dirt bike carb? I have a bike that hard to get parts for and have a fuel bowl leak

    • @NameItBuildIt
      @NameItBuildIt  3 года назад +2

      The problem is will constantly have fuel in contact with it which could break it down and it could clog the carb. Typically it would only come into contact with oil. I wouldn’t try it unless you ask the manufacturer first. 😎

    Can I use on water pump or thermostat housing?

    • @NameItBuildIt
      @NameItBuildIt  3 года назад +2

      You can use anywhere you need a gasket, but I would try to get original gasket if that’s what it had from factory. 😎
