    Thanks for this. Meals are simple enough. Simple ingredients. Nothing fancy. Subscribed. Looking forward to more videos.

    I feel like you and Josh Cortis (another meal prep creator who I believe is insanely similar to you) should do a duo project of some kind. To help bring your audiences together. I find meal prep videos like this format to be desired and not a ton of them out there. I feel a strong similarity between you two!

    Weighing out the portions, is the entire idea of doing meal prep. Apart from saving money, it's about calorie portioning food.

      Not a ton of protein. If you wanna keep the cost low, I'd do more chicken per serving and sub the fresh veggies for frozen.

    • @whatsfordinnerbryan
      @whatsfordinnerbryan  2 года назад

      @@AaronAMVs Great point. Mixed frozen veggies would also keep the cost low.

      If concerned about protein,fiber, calories may i suggest don't make this, tasty but not healthy.

    • @AaronAMVs
      @AaronAMVs 2 года назад +1

      @@sharonfound4493 Nothing in this is unhealthy... Have some fat from the thighs, carbs from rice, fiber and nutrients from the veggies. Sure there's some sodium and sugar in the marinade, but it's you're not consuming two cups of soy sauce/sugar just cause it's being used to marinate. Just compare the beginning shot at 0:45 to after the last piece of chicken goes on the grill at 3:30, most of it is still in the container, so most of the salt and sugar is there too.

      Nutritional summary and ingredients will be coming soon! I'm working on making a library of ingredients that will help automatically calculate these. The goal is to have a visually organized breakdown, so that you all can get a clean evaluation of the recipe and see areas where substitutes might be an option. 👍

    I use honey instead of sugar for marinating the chicken.

    Pre inflation prices . probably like 6 bucks per meal now.

    • @whatsfordinnerbryan
      @whatsfordinnerbryan  6 месяцев назад +1

      Good point. It definitely depends on local prices and availability. Chicken is still the biggest cost, but hopefully this helps show there's still an opportunity to save money by meal prepping. 👍🏻

    Looks good but definitely not $2 to make this

    • @whatsfordinnerbryan
      @whatsfordinnerbryan  2 года назад

      ~$2 is the price per meal when summating the costs of the ingredients used. All ingredients were purchased from retail grocery stores. This value does not include cost of electricity, washing dishes, or labor. I will create a future video to help explain how these values are possible and some best practices for capsule pantries.

    This guy doesn't know the difference between steaming and frying. He pan fried the vegetables not steamed them. He should have used bamboo steamer pots above a pot of boiling water or an electric steamer appliance.
