Bought a used Firebird on a whim a few months ago that had Lollar Firebird pickups in it. Never even held a Firebird until the day it arrived at my house. 30 years and 15+ guitars with just about every pickup - Tele, Strat, Filter-Tron, PAF style humbucker, p90, old Dynasonic single coil, etc - and I discovered the Firebird was my all time favorite guitar and Lollar Firebird pickups are my favorite pickups on the planet. Nice clean demo!
Thank you, and that's a great story. I agree they're such an underrated pickup, can't believe I didn't try it earlier
@@KeroDean Same here!
What do you think of the bridge for fuzz vs a p90 or Tele?
@@jaseyraw8843 If you're asking ME, I don't use fuzz at all - don't like it - so I can't say for sure, but I think fuzz sounds better with single coil pickups, specifically Fender-style single coils. That said, Firebird pickups are very Tele-esque so maybe it'd sound good!
Sounds amazing.
Thanks, I'm very happy with it
Really amazing looking stang!
Thank you :) plays amazingly too
Sounds really good! Actually planning on making the same mod to my player mustang. Where’d you get your pickguard made?
Thanks, I got this one done at WDmusic
Well play👍.....Have you changed your volume/tone pots into 500k ??
Thanks, yes changed to 500k
curious which you preferred between these and the D'urbanos
To me the lollar are more true to the original and have a more clear and wider spectrum of sounds. The D'urbano were more gutsy and a bit higher output for a bit more of a rocky sound, more midrange I guess. I personally preferred and have kept the lollar because I like the wider range of sounds I get from it
@@KeroDean thanks
