Thanks for watching!
That playing at the end was MAGNIFICENT!
Thank you!! It was a fun one to play!
@@nisebelle Keen for a tab :) if you have it. Or if you can point me in the direction of that kind of music genre it is. I would love to listen to more of that kind of stuff. TIA :)
I love that you name your guitars… it makes them each unique and like their names, the functions are diff. Thanks for sharing! 👏🏽
You have some skills, not only musical but technical too...plus the content and video skills. Awesome!
I was shocked to see you've only made a few videos so far! You're a pro! Your videos are so much fun please keep making them!
Beautiful guitar and great video! Kinda sad she’s done, I hope we get to see her some more.
Thanks so much! I’m never satisfied so I’m sure I’ll find something new I can add to her in the future!
Yay, glad you posted a followup! It's really great to see women working on their guitar's electronics.
These have been some of the most inspiring videos I've seen in such a long time, both musically and technically. Thank you so so much for sharing
That makes me so happy to read!! Thanks so much for watching!
Everything in the first minute is word for word exactly what I'm experiencing with my Jaguar
I just want to thank you in advance for your tutorial videos! I haven't begun the process of updating my Jaguar, but I'm planning on doing it in the near future. These videos are already a huge help and a massive inspiration, thanks!
I’m so so so happy I stumbled upon this. Your tone is phenomenal and everything I expect from a jag
Thank you so much!
Stumbled on this trying to find demos on both the AV65 pickups and the Lollar Jaguar pickups... thanks so much for this video! Your jaguar is gorgeous, and your playing is even more so. The ending song is fantastically made and I love the differences between the two, and in the case of your Jag Aerial, I'm sold on the Lollars 😂❤ planning to modify my own Jaguar soon and this helps out a ton. Thanks again!
Absolutely incredible song at the end!
Praise to the RUclips algorithm that threw this channel in front of me, Great work, keep it coming. Subscribed.
I like the way you've filmed your installs so far. It would be really easy to follow along if need be!
The Lollars sound fantastic!
So excellent that you are so proficient with a soldering iron and understand electronics. I wish I could say the same of myself. You go, girl!
Hey nisebelle, I just wanted to say your videos are great! Keep it up!
Thanks you so much! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the videos!
hey, great playing. Those new pickups sounds great!
Lollar all the way! I have the Eastman t64v with lollar dogear p90s and they are better than my Gibson ones!?
Well done! 🖤🌹🎶
Love your channel! I’m just getting into offsets and love modding guitars! Lovely playing at the end!
Thank you so much!! Offsets are so much fun to mod, and the whole modding community around them is super active as well! Have fun with the new projects!
Backing music and playing is killer!
Thank you!!
the jam at the end is inspiring.
Thank you! It was a lot of fun to play!
I just bought a Jaguar but haven't received it yet but will soon. My understanding is it doesn't have a mute and some work is needed to install it. Glad you do a video on that subject. I'm going to watch your video on how to do so. I just liked and subscribed. Thanks for the videos on Jaguars and other guitars.
GODD, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL JAG🤩🤩
Tasty jams and a great mood for the Jaguar.
I love your content!! I’d like to see more of that jaguar
Came for the pickup demo. Stayed for the ASMR! :)
Wow, really enjoyed both of your mod videos and an looking forward to more of your content! As for what to see next - maybe a rundown of your gear collection. I thought I saw a bass amp under your desk, which made me curious about what all you are rocking. Anyhoo, thanks for what you are doing!
Thank you so much!! I'm so glad you've been enjoying the videos!
Also good eye on the bass amp! I'll definitely add a gear rundown to my list.
Thanks for the suggestion!
I lovw your playing, Nisebelle. I've nly just come across your channel, but I will be watching your videos from now on. BTW jazz guitarist Tim Lurch is a great fan of Lollar pickups - clearly great minds think alike. And you lovely Jaguar guitar sounds even better with the Lollars. Keep up the good work, and I hope to hear more of your guitar playing soon..!
Beautiful playing🥰
The guitar sounds great and it was an excellent DIY project. Hopefully, you'll be making more content.
Thank you!! I absolutely will!
The music on this channel is breathtaking 🙆♀️ I'd love to hear more🤝🤝
Nice one ! I had the same problem with the av65 bridge pickup . I put a custom set of Q pickups in my CIJ Jaguar and I love them . Looking forward to the next video …
Glad I’m not the only one! I’ve been hearing good things about Q’s but I haven’t had a chance to try them out yet, maybe I’ll look into them for my bass vi!
Thanks for watching!!
This is like ASMR for guitar geeks.
Love this!
Ooh a Telecaster build.
Well, I can't blame my soldering skills on my soldering iron anymore, since we use the same cheap one and you do a great job. 😅
That was gangsta! 😃
ok you convinced me to switch out mine too 😂
Awesome video. I was having a hard time choosing between the 62 or the 65 I want to swap all 3 from my Cyclone 2 and put either of those in, it's going to burn my wallet but it's worth it😬🤘. Also your Jag she's a beauty keep rocking 😎🎸👍
great video! Glad there is no more drilling 😛
Haha same!! Hopefully the next couple projects will be drill free as well!
Thanks for watching!
You can also SHIELD with conductive paint or a combination of paint, tape, and plating. Paint is especially handy for cavities that are really cut up.
Just stumbled on this channel.
1) Love the video. I've been meaning to get better educated on doing mods and stuff and I can't wait to dive more into the channel and learn more. Also,
2) The music and riffs in this vid are killer! From the intro music to the demo played after the pickup install. I'm guessing it's what most people would call like math rock or something similar. But if anyone has any suggestions for what genre/which bands have a similar sound, it'd be much appreciated. Does nisebelle have music out anywhere?
i am old school love my 65 jaguar pick ups
Terrific!
It’s worth noting that the AV65 neck pickup looked significantly lowered compared to the Lollars.
Looking forward to the Bass VI video.
What a sweetness 😊
Nice! 😎
I own guitars with Lollar PAFs, Lollar Single Coils and P90, and they all sound awesome. But, is it just me or the Lollars Jag pups don't sound as much different than the Fender pups?
The neck pickup was also much further away from the strings to be fair 😅
i am also rebuilding a 1970 fender squire jaguar with a 1968 jaguar neck plus 65 pickups and using hoagland custom switches for my jag
This is great! I have the same issue with my Marr Jaguar.
Are you running the stock 1meg pots or did you swap them out?
You are amazing!
I noticed your stock neck pup in clip was way low.... maybe for intonation issues? I found jag pups really need to be set high to get all the harmonic content. Im running a Creamery J90 pair in my 65 AV currently 10.5 and 6.5K ohm, and still the output seems lower than my other guitars. Again, Im running them high very close to strings to get all the good harmonic goodness. Very happy w/ them. I do run my boost as well w/ this guitar as in our 3 piece gig, I need to cut through w/ lead lines and riffs. Best of luck, really enjoy your content. Love my JM and jag offsets, hardly pick up my Strats or tele's lately.
Love my Lollars in my Les Paul.
Did you know they’re made in downtown Tacoma? Really cool shop. Would be a nice tour destination.
Hi Nisebelle, what about a pickup behind the bridge to capture the echoey chimey resonance of the bits of string between the bridge and the tremolo? Maybe with an independent volume to blend it in when you want it?
song u made at the end sounds fucking rad
Interesting topics about you 65 pickups....you should really try them with UA Dream 65 pedal emulator. Big difference. But swapping pickups is not a bad idea, it is another journey in a guitar life!
Have the same problem with my vintera jag. Seems like no matter what I put in the bridge it does not sound right--extremely shrill and/or quiet. Probably just gonna go with a hotrail at this point. More of a neck pickup person anyway
Hi, I have a CIJ 04 Jaguar, I had exactly the same output issues with it against my RIC 330. I had "hot for Jag" pickups fitted and found the same issue with huge tone differences between pickups. What model Lolars did you fit?
Your playing is great by the way, I loved that piece at the end 👍😎👍
Chris.
Hi Chris! So sorry you've been having pickup issues as well!
Here's the pickups I used: www.lollarguitars.com/lollar-other-single-coil-pickups/jaguar
About a month on, I've found that they're really well matched, and I now only have a 1.5mm height difference on the bass side and a 1mm difference on my treble between the two pickups. Also, I'm finding that there's enough clarity on the neck pup that I can use the rhythm circuit with some pretty heavy fuzz and still have some articulation shine through.
Thanks so much for watching and I hope this helps!
Your channel has become one of my favourites, next to Mike Adams in regards to nerdy guitar content. Your taste in guitars and music is so spot on and the mods you've done to your beautiful Jag are literally the same ones I've done on my Shell Pink Jag. I just purchased a Gretsch Baritone which is basically set up as a Bass VI so I'm curious as to see what you do with yours! Cheers!
Thank you so much!! It makes me so happy to hear that people have been enjoying the videos!
Shell pink is one of my all time favorite finishes! I’ve been dying to add a guitar in that color to my collection. There’s actually a mij shell pink Jazzmaster at Mike and Mike’s Guitar Bar that I’ve been stopping in and playing waaaaaay to often on my way home from work haha
I’ve never had the chance to play one of the Gretsch ones but baris and bass vi’s are so much fun!
Thanks again for watching!
What song its in the end?? Really love it
Nisebelle, I'm curious... what are you using for guitars in your DAW (Helix, Guitar Rig 6, etc...)
nice playing tbh
Thank you!
Thank you for this cool and cheerful video! I was wondering whether you could help me with a query. Some time ago I got a 1996/1997 MIJ Jaguar on eBay where the pickups were replaced by “boutique” Jazzmaster style PUs. They sound actually fine, but I now want to replace them with “normal” Jaguar PUs. The electronics seem to be OK but I am not entirely sure about that so was looking for a wiring diagram. Do you know whether the old 1960’s diagrams are ok for this generation of Jaguars? Or did they have a different wiring?
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! As far as I know, the wiring between vintage Jags and Modern is pretty much the same down to the cap values and type, so you should be fine using an older diagram. Hope this helps!
@@nisebelle wow, that was a quick response! Thanks 🙏. OK, so I am going to go ahead with my little project . Have a good day!
Can I ask why did you add copper tape to the cavities? It looks like the guitar already had black shielding paint. I ask because I am considering shielding a Classic Vibe Telecaster which also has black shielding paint. Not sure if it's necessary to copper shield the cavities
Good question! The original shielding was a bit inconsistent with parts of the shielding paint missing in areas, especially along the bottom, and I wasn’t reading continuity from one cavity to the other. I don’t know if the previous owner had taped it and ripped out the tape or something, but the paint wasn’t doing a very good job. It was still perfectly playable, but I tend to use a fair amount of compression when I tap so I really needed it to be quiet, especially with the hotter pickups. Thanks for asking!
The pickups sound the exact same to me at the end of the video. Are they louder irl? Maybe you just needed new pots... 🤔
Was the Mastery bridge really worth it? It's so expensive.
hello would you be able to say what pedals youre using to get this beautiful tone.
Hej Nisebelle, did these pickups fix your problem? I also want to swap out my AV '65 pickups for the Lollars. Would je recommend them?
Hey Gerben! They absolutely did! The level output between the neck and bridge is so much more balanced with only a 1mm height difference on the bass side and a 0.5mm height difference on the treble between the two pickups. Also the neck pickup and rhythm circuit have so much more clarity now and I use them way more than I ever did with the AV ‘65s. I would highly recommend checking my them out!
I want to see a video with flatwounds on a Jaguar. Thanks.
Never thought to use my teeth as a third hand for soldering 😮
What genre is the music in the guitar demo?
Cute name
🎸👂💎 👍
You say "jag-wire" not "jag-waaahr." I didn't know that mute thing was something you can get on a Jaguar. I instead got someone else to install a full Mastery vibrato and bridge set on MIJ Thinline. The nearly permanent trem arm stay on and lessens the tension every time I put it in its hardcase, which doesn't affect the tuning that much.
After reading this I spent the whole night quietly saying "jaguar" to myself, and you're totally right haha. I've never seen the mastery vibrato on a thinline that's so cool! I have one set aside for my bass vi and I'm looking forward to installing it!
awesome video. you're really cute too. love me a gear head chick
you do know u can raise or lower your pickups right
Your critics about the Fender pickups are not dependent on the guitar, so why would those pickups be bad for your Jaguar and good for another Jaguar?
